A cataract is a clouding that develops in the crystalline lens of the eye and obstructs the passage of light. A cataract can vary from slight to complete opacity, and in the early stages of its development, may be corrected with glasses or a change in prescription. As the cataract grows, it can begin to affect your lifestyle and may need to be removed.
Glasses and/or contact lenses to correct your vision have become a thing of the past in Los Angeles. Reingold Eye Center offers the latest in vision correction technologies, LASIK is a refractive procedure that corrects nearsightedness, farsightedness and Astigmatism by reshaping the front surface the cornea.
About 80% (8 out of 10) of people who have AMD have the dry form. Dry AMD is when parts of the macula get thinner with age and tiny clumps of protein called drusen grow. You slowly lose central vision. There is no way to treat dry AMD yet. Having heart disease is another risk factor for AMD, as is having high cholesterol levels.

I can see without glasses, and it is life changing! From the young age of eight I began a tedious journey of wearing glasses. It was not a easy road growing up with them. Recently in my early forties I would come to find out through a yearly eye exam that I had developed two cataracts. Never once did I think I would have cataracts in my 40's, most would assume they would come later in life.
Finally the time had come to have the surgeries. I was very nervous and unsure of what the outcome would be. I would have the right eye done first. Then two weeks following, the left. With a high astigmatism in both eyes, I never could see very well with out any type of glasses. Within a few days after each surgery it was life changing. I can see without glasses, thanks to Dr Reingold and my two new toric lenses.
I never thought this day would be possible. I cannot began to express my gratitude and thanks to Dr. Reingold and his wonderful team. The care and support I received and continue to receive is well beyond compare to anything I have ever known. Dr Reingold is best!

I was a patient of Dr. Reingold's for a LASIK procedure who was impressed with the process, and thrilled with the results. Dr. Reingold and his staff are professional and caring. I felt like my doctor was an expert in the matter and ensured a smooth procedure and recovery. I now see perfectly and love not having glasses. Dr. Reingold and his staff are the best! They run like a well-oiled machine. I have been going there for years, but just had cataract surgery and the results are amazing! For the first time since I was 6 years old, I have 20/20 vision in my left eye. It was painless and all went so smoothly. I am so happy! Highly recommend Reingold Eye Center!

Horrible Experience. Scary someone unlicensed with big brown eyes LILY CARLOS damaged both of my eyes! Warren Jay Reingold: Never Again! Lily Carlos: big eyes Hispanic female "Reingold favorite EYE employee", you've done some damaged to both of my eyeballs. They were intentional, negligent Warren Jay Reingold, doctor, I want you to know what i experienced during my visit was disgusting and horrifying. Lily Carlos (Lily Tejada Carlos, Liliana Tejeda Carlos) gouged, jabbed and lacerated my eyesballs Eye liquid from my own eyeballs were oozing from the criminal act of Lily Carlos. To top it all off, you never rendered any FIRST AID, Doctor Reingold

Dr Reingold and his staff took incredible care of me when I had scratched my eye. I couldn't see and they attended to me right away and within four days I could see again! Dr Reingold even came in on his day off to check the eye. I cannot say enough good things about this center.they are incredible!

The entire team as Reingold Eye Center is wonderful. Even though they are busy, they make sure that you don't feel rushed nor pressured (as I've experienced far too often other eye centers). They also provide LASIK and really made my wife feel good about the entire process. She's very happy with the process and the after care. This is certainly worth a drive over the hill into the Valley if you don't live there.
