Very welcoming environment! Wow! Phenomenal experience! Will be returning! Amanda at the front desk is very polite! Abel is so funny! I wish I had found this place sooner! Kody was very knowledgeable! The selection of glasses is beyond belief! Excellent customer service! I wish I could give ten stars! UNBELIEVABLY AMAZING! Looking forward to my next eye exam!

I wish I could give them 0 stars. I have written very minimal reviews in my life but please stay far away from this place. After my THIRD horrible experience at ABBA on Lake in Colorado Springs, I will never go back or refer anyone to them. Dr. Kim was so condescending and kept telling me I had migraines but nothing wrong with my eye after I was hit in the eye with a football.

He told me over and over, "Its not eye pain. You just suffer from migraines." He kept telling me I was just confused but he's the doctor and he knows. I went to an optometrist at Fort Carson for a second opinion. Not even 30 seconds into my appointment he says, "You clearly have Iritis. I don't know how anyone could have missed this. You have a lot of inflammation." I was given medicine and it took weeks to recover. Dr. Kim's misdiagnosis at ABBA caused me weeks of unnecessary pain and a decline in my vision.

My second bad experience was with a different doctor for a contact fitting. She was extremely rude and annoyed that I was trying to find the right contact that would fit for my astigmatism and kept pushing a contact on me that felt extremely uncomfortable telling me I'd get used to it. I went with glasses instead. But the last experience today 6/25/22 was the most bizarre eye exam of my life.

She kept telling me to guess the letters when I could clearly not see them. She kept saying, "just take your best guess." If I got them right, she cheered for me. It was the weirdest experience. When it came time to reveal what my new prescription would look like, it was so blurry. I couldn't make out any letters and it actually made me nauseas trying to focus.

She kept telling me my eyes were just dry (no they weren't) and then told me that I was stressed out (no I wasn't). I told her I am literally just guessing on the letters, they are not showing up clear. She looked me dead in the face and said, "you can see the letters, you just said them. There's only a 1 in 26 chance you're guess could be right, so you definitely see the letters." I told her again I was guessing and there's no way I'd be able to wear the glasses she would be sending off to make.

She continued to tell me what I could and couldn't see and kept telling me my eyes were dry and I was stressed. I finally said, " I think I'll just find a new optometrist." She walked out of the room before me, slammed her clipboard on the front desk and proceeded to gossip about me with other employees out-loud." You couldn't pay me to go to this place ever again.

There's tons of places to go get your eyes checked -- go anywhere but here. They got my prescription incorrect and when I called to tell them everything was blurry I was told by the office manager (who isn't even qualified) that it was because I just didn't like astigmatism contacts. She said she "guessed" she could give me an appointment to which my prescription was incorrect. Staff is completely unprofessional.

I've never been to a more unprofessional eye care place in my entire life! My daughter had pinkeye the doctor wouldn't prescribe eyedrops to cure the infection. I tried to go to a different franchise was told we could be seen at 1:30 when tge appointment was at 1 pm. I will tell anyone who will listen DO NOT GO TO ABBA unless you have both time and money to waste.

I received horrible service today April 30th 2022. I had called 2 weeks ago, to use my warranty for a new pair of glasses, and they told me my frames were discontinued, and I had to pick another pair, and that I'd be covered for $169. But anything more I'd have to pay. And because of my busy schedule, they would mail my glasses to my address. But, I went in today, and they assigned me to a guy named Cody, who was all tattooed and long hair with an attitude.

He told me that I'd have to pay $140. And because they don't know me, I'd have to come in to pick up my new glasses, by exchanging my old ones. After the appointment, I called to try to resolve this issue, and I told the lady the problem, but she said she had to ask her boss a question, so she put me on hold. Instead, I was transferred to the guy I had issues with, (Cody) who continued to give me attitude. I called back to speak with a supervisor, but they told me there wasn't one.

My experience was beyond poor. I've been a patient here for several years and never knew the sales practices. #1 my sales associate thew a $35 insurance package on without telling me the cost/charge nor asking if I wanted it. I'm glad I view my receipts and charges and I expect you do the same if purchasing here. #2 I was told I would receive a call back and be refunded which didn't happen.

I call the next day and the same sales associate blatantly lies and says she called and left a message. #3 I needed a remake of my glasses. I changed my mind within hours of making my purchase from the store hours and the same sales associate AGAIN lies to me and tells me that my glasses were already being re-made and they could only refund me $35 out of $305!

I spoke to the office manager who was very nice and helpful and advised they had not started being made and a full refund would apply. Horrible service from a single associate will kill your business.

I am Dallas, TX based but discovered I had an eye infection upon arrival in Colorado Springs just before Christmas Eve. I called Abba early on Christmas Eve Eve and they were able to sneak me in same day for an appointment. I saw Dr. Douglas Kim who was thorough, informative and very forthcoming about the infection and what I needed to do to resolve it.

They called in an rx for me at Walgreens on the west side at Uintah Gardens. Walgreens was unable to fill the rx due to a stock outage so I called Abba and they were able to immediately call King Soopers in the same complex which DID have stock. Abba went out of their way to ensure I had the rx before the holiday and I am so grateful to them! I went for a follow up today with Dr. Kim and he gave me another thorough exam and feedback. I'll follow up with my local optometrist in Dallas next week after 5 more days of medicated eye drops. Abba was easy to work with, their staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful, and I am so grateful I found this location for future needs while visiting family. Great experience and highly recommend!

Avoid like the plague. Dr was good but when it came to buying frames and contacts, they outright lied to me, saying what I was getting was covered by my insurance when it was not. Yes, shame on me for trusting them and not checking myself. If you have to go here, get the Rx and buy the hardware somewhere else. If they tell you that's not allowed, they are lying.

I will first say I did not buy glasses here. I came in because I found out this company sold the frames I owned and I was trying to get a repair done. when I called first they were very nice on the phone and so I went infor some help. I talked to Valentina and she could not have been more helpful. She did her best to help me, but turns out my glasses were broken.

She told me go go back to the out of state place I got them to see if the frame wee out of warranty. She said if they could get the parts for me and mail them to me she would help me get them fixed. Honestly, they could not have been any nicer and they were helping me even though I had never spent a penny there.

Firstly, you should know that Medicaid does not cover "the materials" (the frames and lenses) they only cover the eye exam. They offer two options for checking eye health: dilation or a painless eye camera; the eye camera is an additional $10 because Medicaid does not cover that either. They do offer a program through "Mission Medical" which pays for 100% of "the materials"; The downside of this option is twofold: firstly, you have to pick from a small collection of frames. Secondly, you have to wait upwards of 3 weeks to get your glasses in (I did not want to wait as my vision has worsened and would like to see better sooner than that!) I told the receptionist, the eye doctor, Dr Kim and Cody, the sales floor associate that I would most likely have to go online with my prescription and purchase them. (check out Zenni Optical, where you can get a pair starting at $9.95 plus fee) Something you should also know is that a lot of the eyeglass websites ask for a number known as your "PD" measurement in order to fit you with the best fit (The PD is not on the "standard" prescription that they give you) NOT ONCE DID ANYONE ASK ME IF I NEEDED A " PD" MEASURING FULLY KNOWING THAT ALOT OF THE ONLINE EYEGLASS SITES ASK FOR THIS. (I know because I called back and spoke with the receptionist and she said that they were aware that some sites ask for this) My personal opinion is that they purposely do not mention it because they want people to buy their glasses. (I get it), but this is not the kind of service that I am used to as I would have never given such poor service to the customers where I work.

Dr. Kim took the necessary time to help me understand my vision issues and the multi-focal solution. His Assistant (I forget her name) was so helpful in giving me options. The Optician Scott took it even further explaining what my options were and how things worked. Super experience.

This was the worst optometrist center I've ever been to. I mean the absolute worst. First off the doc seemed to rush me with the eye exam. Not caring which slide I could se better through. Then he tried to touched my lower lids with his bare hands without washing them. He was annoyed that I asked him to put on gloves or wash his hands. Then he tried to scare me into seeing a specialist because I apparently had chronic dry eye that would make me go blind! Utter bull!

When I went to pick up my glasses I tried them on and the vision was worse than the old pair I was currently wearing. It had to be a mistake so I asked them to find mine and they said that those were my glasses and I should just pay and leave. Are you kidding?! I'm supposed to pay for glasses I can't see through?! I refused to leave until they found the right lenses and surprise they found that they gave the wrong lenses based on my very common first name. This place should be shut down for the scare tactics, unprofessional service, lack of skill and sheer laziness.

I was very hesitant to purchase frames here due to the less than favorable reviews, But I'm really glad I did. They have a great selections of frames and the staff were very pleasant. Ms. Cambria was my optician she was super helpful!

So from the time of my appointment to the time I got my glasses was over 2 months. One problem after another. They didn't confirm our insurance and used the wrong one so they over charged us. Next their lab broke the frames I wanted to use. They didn't call us to tell us either. Next when I called to complain they then found our glasses somewhere at the lab.

When we got them the bifocal line was off so had to send them back again. The Line was still off but I needed glasses to work. Would be one stars but gave them 3 as the manager was extremely nice and the office and staff were very polite and apologized for all the problems we had. I will be getting a complete new pair somewhere else in the coming months.

This place is a rip off they think yourmoney is nothing to them. They lie about the warranty you pay for or not tell you what is really covers. I was told my glasses that where only a year old I could use the frames that cost 1000 dollars the first time around and they would make them like new. I got the back with new lenses and the frames where in the same condition I left them in when the went in to be renewed.

Other wise they added new lenses but did nothing to the frames. I was told they would be like new. Then after one month from the day of the new lenses where put in, the arm was loose and there was nothing they could do to repair it accept glue. I wouldn't buy coffee from this place ill take a loss and never give them a dime of my money and neither should you. Look at the comments see what you think.

Terrible customer service. Just trying to pickup a pair of glasses can take 30 minutes or more and you aren't treated well when you check in. We've been going here for years. So, frustrating. Is there a better place to go?

Dr. Kim did a great job at getting my prescription dialed in, & he took time to answer all questions. The staff also did an exceptional job at getting me through the exams, picking out frames, & cleanliness during this Covid epidemic. I will continue using Abba for my future needs.

From the receptionist, eye tech, eye doctor, and woman who helped me with my frames, this place is amazing. Everyone is so friendly and kind. My glasses came in 2 weeks earlier than expected. Lastly they did a great job with covid restrictions. I did not feel at any time that there were too many people in the building or around me. I will continue to go here in the future and a big thank you to everyone who helped me!

I came in to just simply inquire about a new pair of glasses. The store was fairly busy and I sort of had no clue what I was looking for. As I stood there with a puzzled look on my face none of the employees noticed my existence. Except the manager Mandie, who was busy running around but she still managed to take time to help me with the next step.

You need more people like her who are willing to stop what they are doing to help someone who might not know exactly what they are looking for. So the 4 stars are not really for the store itself but for mandie for going above and beyond.

Abba Eye Care is excellent. Their opticians are so professional and detailed. Maddie at the Lake location is the best optician I've had. I bought 3 pair of glasses with progressive lenses and they were perfect! I can highly recommend Abba!

Start to finish - I had an excellent experience! Each of the ABBA reps were kind, professional, and patient with me! They took all the necessary precautions for Covid and had appropriate spacing. Three of the staff even helped me choose frames! Now I just have to wait for the call that my new glasses are in! Thanks ABBA on Lake Ave!

Purchased sunglasses from them for $600 (not including insurance), the lenses are cracking. Brought them in an they say it will be 3 weeks and they need the frames. When I first go these they cut the wrong type of lens and all they did was cut new lenses and called me in to replace the lenses. So I had sunglasses during this time. Now they want to take frames and all to send out.

What a disappointing level of service. Check out the recent reviews. Worse place to buy glasses, no customer service. Just excuses. Recommend not using this company. Just another business that has no business in business!

They outright lied to me about the costs involved, Had me sign a extra fee agreement without me knowing what it was I was signing. They took three hours for me to get through a contact lens exam, Then, when I tried discussing the disparity in the bill, they were rude and very unprofessional. unwilling to discuss my complaint, then literally got up and started talking to another customer as I was speaking.

No foul language, no raised voice, nothing but respectful attempt at communicating my issue from me. Asked to speak with supervisor, she had no time to talk with me. Never been treated so rudely and with such disrespect as this business. The actual eye doctor was professional. Been going here for many years, have never encountered such disrespect, attitude, and unprofessional ism The extremely rude one was named Jerry, she has some serious issues with respect of others, let alone in a office that is supposed to be professional.

Would not recommend this business and would actively try to dissuade someone from going there. Was a quality eye care place when DR Meyer owned it. Note: To her credit, The Supervisor called me to follow up with my issue. Mandy WAS very professional and listened to me, and refunded me the charges I didn't comprehend, and handled the call very well. She did a good job addressing the situation as best as possible. Usually I am not the type to even offer a review, Let alone take the time to type one out.

Dr Kim is very arrogant and rude. Not a helpful doctor, whatsoever. Isn't willing to help the patient, or admit to being wrong, assumes he is always right. I went in for a contact lens exam after wearing glasses for 10 years full time. I can't back in a few days after my exam because the trial contacts I was given didn't feel right, my vision was blurry and I saw worse than not wearing anything at all, and definitely not as good as my glasses.

He told me "what you want, clear vision, is not something I can provide." Ummm wait, isn't that your profession? Yikes. The staff is generally good. You have to stay on top of it and make sure they are applying your insurance benefits or you will be ripped off. Would not recommend, there's plenty of other good eye doctors around here.

Don't know why I bothered scheduling an appointment, I arrive 15 minutes early only to sit in the office for 45 minutes before asking why I haven't been seen, oh we are behind by an hour! Wtf! Maybe you should have called me and cancelled! I will never go back! Obviously someone else deserves my business! Total crap!

I go here because I have tricare and this is one of the few places who takes it. Dr. Kim is a great doctor. He is always so nice and friendly to me and always makes my visit pleasant. The reason I am taking off a star is the pressure to purchase frames from Abba is unnerving. It makes the whole visit really uncomfortable and makes you feel stuck. The reason I don't purchase frames from them is because they're high priced and aren't ready for 2 weeks.

When I explained my situation to the man trying to sell me on expensive frames he told me that the place I typically go to isn't the best and was basically talking it down. I just want my prescription and to leave. Abba has decent customer service until it's time to leave, then you feel boxed in and obligated to discuss frames you don't want to buy!

Ok! It's been a year so I had to go back! I probably won't be going again, though. It's just so impersonal. They asked me to fill out a complete medical history again! Didn't I just do one a year ago? Shouldn't they just ask me to verify that the info hasn't changed? Oh no: ten to fifteen minutes to do it all again (I must admit I wasn't as thorough this time).

Then you sit and wait to be called. I'm just a number for them: in and out. Blah. To Dr was nice, though, but not nice enough to make me go back. They did say that all the Abba eye cares were bough so will soon be under new ownership. I hope that new ownership is aware of customer service and updated paperwork forms. Oh, and also, since I got glasses last time, I wanted prescription sunglasses this time.

I spent time with an overly talkative person to help me pick the frames for sunglasses, which took about 30 minutes. THEN she was doing the paperwork and realized I don't qualify for new frames until next year. SO NOT HELPFUL and a waste of my time. Couldn't have she just figured that out earlier? And I really don't appreciate a ten minute discussion on when and why you got bifocals and how great they are now. Blah. Will go back for glaucoma test, but definitely finding a new place.

Take your script and go elsewhere for the frames. Tremendous pressure to buy frames after eye exam. Showed me a wooden box - like a paupers coffin - filled with what I could afford. Such an unpleasant experience. Learn from the reviews here, people! 10/29/18 - added a star. The manager took over the case. My eyes were re-examined and I was given a new script.

I was also given a discount on a pair of frames I actually wanted. I am happy with the glasses I own now. That said, I would not go back, at least for the exam. I have used Chapel Hills Vision Clinic for 15 years and not had a problem. They're pricey but there's no hassle.
