My stay was overnight for neck surgery. My stay satisfaction increased when i discovered that instead of hitting the general call nurse which went to a nurses station and often had very long delays (which i am attribute to shortage of staff, so no fault of the staff) I could ring my nurse directly. They were Excellent! Patient and accommodating despite being overwhelmed. Food was very good selection and had great taste.

My mother is currently at Aiken Regional and the care she received yesterday was terrible! (The previous two days were much better, I will say) There is a sign on the wall of her room that says someone will be in at least once an hour to check the patient. Maybe they need to show that to their employees. The tech was in to check her vitals ONCE all afternoon - and she wasn't even prepared for the job.

She took her blood sugar but didn't log it into the system. She said she didn't know where her BP machine was but she'd find it and be right back. Never saw her again. Later, when the nurse came in, I told him about it. He took my word on what her blood sugar reading was and administered insulin! There's more I could share but I'll refrain. Yesterday was a 1-star day at best. Only reason I give 2 is because of the two previous days. They were pretty good. We'll see how today goes but I'm not expecting a whole lot on a holiday weekend shift.

I experienced professionalism and a high care level from the second I arrived. Everyone was pleasant and smiling and did their absolute best to make me comfortable. The doctor that attended to me was fabulous. He too was compassionate and caring and I knew that I was getting the highest level of care.

This Emergency Room is the worst! They do not have enough beds and keep people waiting for hours. My mother who has dementia was brought here from a nursing facility and was left in the hallway for 2 hours. They wouldn't let anyone be with her. The staff had very short patience. There were ER patient who had been in rooms for more than 10 hours. An elderly woman had been in a ER room for 2 days.

I mentioned to one of the staff she was cold. She also mentioned she had not eaten. The woman was not capable of feeding her self, nor did she have family with her. She was unaccompanied. My mothers physician had the worst attitude and spoke to my sister in a very unprofessional manner. I eventually had to call the nursing director Ms Susan who was understanding. I'm am very disappointed with the level of service and care that Aiken Regional center ER provides.

Not to mention there was dried blood under my moms bed. Monday a director called to discuss my issues. Bottom line Aiken needs more options for Emergency care, beside Aiken Regional or GA hospitals.

If I could write a review with zero stars I would. Have waited 8 hours with my daughter who is having a possible miscarriage. People ahead of us have waited over 9 hours. Those people left 6 hours ago. Its ridiculous and I am a nurse. I know how it works. Night shift people were nice about it but day shift now is rude very rude. If we ever get in the back and get an ultrasound none of us will ever come here again. I am an RN at Doctors Hospital in Augusta which is where we should have went but since my daughter just moved here it was closer. We would have never waited this long never.

Excellent care and treatment from the Emergency Room staff tonight. A lot of citizens like to talk terribly about our wonderful hospital, but I have experienced much worse treatment in Augusta. For the amount who complain about Aiken, the same amount complain about Augusta. I would like to remind everyone to be patient. You are not the only emergency. We were taken back after a short wait, treated, and sent home. Witnessed very rude people with minor complaints giving demands. America is short staffed.be decent people.

First thing they ask is how you going to pay and then the lady up front was bad on communication. We asked if that was the only bill other than the testing and she said yes that's all and we told her that we don't like surprises. Next thing you know, we received a bill. I feel like they are more interested in our money than our health. I definitely recommend going to Augusta University Medical Center.

Excellent experience. Very professional. All of Aiken Regional Med staff focused on every little detail. Dr. Frei and all of his staff did a great job to make one feel safe and comfortable. Arrival, procedure and discharge timing/protocols were exceptional. Thanks to all.

Worst medical care I've ever gotten in the ER but once you get upstairs the nurses and doctors are WAYYY more compassionate towards patients if you have been there more than 3 times due to severe panic attacks due to unknown conditions the whisper to each other while looking at you when you come in by ambulance it's said that they take an oath to take care of patient's no matter what!

Us as a patients do t know what is wrong with us and to get wheeled in and then to have the nurses and doctors whispering back and forth rolling their eyes saying what's he here for this time is pretty unprofessional and pretty damn sad I finally got to the write place that actually cares for me and is helping me with my severe panic disorder and anxiety disorder along with ptsd they treat patients as if they are there for drugs at least the ER doctors and nurses do once you get upstairs in a room they treat you like an actual human being with actual severe health issues instead of rolling their eyes saying 'what's he here for this time' it's not like I enjoy spending my whole night in a damn ER I'd much rather be at home in my own bed I don't get excited to go to an ER especially Aiken Regional Medical Center, they need to fire 99% of the ER NURSING STAFF AND DOCTORS AND GET DOCTORS AND NURSES IN THERE THAT ACTUALLY TAKE PRIDE IN THEIR JOBS AND REALIZE THEY ARE DEALING WITH ACTUAL PEOPLE WITH ACTUAL PROBLEMS! IF I WAS TO GIVE ANY ADVICE ID SAY GO TO AUGUSTA UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL!

They treat people SOOO much better there and actually work to find the root of the problem and try an either fix it or get you somewhere that will get you help/fixed plus they are super nice and couldn't believe me when I to;d them how Aiken regional treated me all they could say is that's sad and pathetic which I agree! So if I could give zero stars I would this is the worst hospital I've ever been to and I've lived in a few different states.

They have adults that act like they are damn 5 years old whispering about patients and laughing and then send them to the front waiting room instead of giving them a room in the Er especially one time when my hemoglobin was a 3.7 due to a severely bleeding peptic ulcer which I had to have surgery pretty much immediately and then given multiple bags of blood to get it up to a 9.2 before releasing me. So I'd stay FARRR away from this shit hole of a hospital!

I had my C-section here with Dr. Boone and his nurse (Kayla or Haley) I believe was her name. young nurse, blonde/brown hair, bluish eyes, slim. she was absolutely a angel in the operating room! She made my C section experience as comfortable as possible! Please do all y'all can to keep her employed there. She was so kind and caring throughout my C section. She's the main nurse I remember throughout my entire stay when I had my daughter.

They like asking "Have you been here before?" For this visit, my little patient can say "This is the first place I've ever been! I was born here!" Fortunately, this is the first time he's been back since he's been born! Security is semi-tight. I needed to drop off a jacket and they only allowed me to get to the front desk and leave it with them. Will keep you posted if any issues arise. Been almost 2 hours since they went in.

I had a scheduled outpatient procedure at Aiken Regional. Each step of the way was seamless from my initial doctor consultation to discharge. The staff at the hospital were very professional, efficient, and kind. Best of all, I was in and out in slightly over three hours (for a procedure that required anesthesia) when based on other hospital experiences I was expecting to be there for at least five hours. Nice to have this facility so close to home, would highly recommend.

I have had nothing but great care from housekeeping to neurology. I appreciate the fact that everyone gets along so well as I've never heard any of the staff arguing with each other. I waited five hours in the ER lobby but other people needed more care than I did - some of whom came in by ambulance. I have nothing to complain about!

I was recently admitted to Aiken Regional Medical Center for treatment. I found the medical and supporting staff to be informative and professional. My stay was as positive as a hospital stay can be from the emergency room to discharge. Even the food was good. I can highly recommend this facility for your medical needs.

I came to ARMC ER Sunday January 23rd. I had tested positive with COVID earlier in the week and my primary car physician's instructions were that if I got any worse, to contact their office or to go to the ER. Since it was a Sunday, I went to the ER. My breathing had become so bad that all I could do was cough. I was taken back quickly, and tests were run.

I was placed in a room. A nurse came back and was obtaining consents. After she finished, she entered my room, closed the curtain to my room, and gave me what she called the "coming to Jesus" speech. She proceeded to tell me not to come back to "her" ER and that I had unnecessarily exposed "her" entire ER. She ended the conversation by telling me not to come back unless I planned to "give up" and be intubated and die. Earlier while I was waiting in another room with another COVID positive patient, this patient told me the SAME exact story that this same nurse had told her.

If I am sick, where am I to go if I can't go to the hospital. Plus, I had been sick for 10 days so would I not have been past the period of contamination? Lastly, they diagnosed me with COVID related fluid on my lungs. But they did not give me any medications like an antibiotic or a steroid to help me breathe better or clear up the fluid in my lungs.

This is my experience at the emergency room visit. I had stroke like symptoms. The whole experience lasted 14 hours to speak to a doctor. The first doctor asked me about my lower abdominal problems. He was confused about which patient he was seeing. During my visit, I had to explain my symptoms so he knew what was happening. The doctors shift changed.

Then I waited for the my next doctor and then I asked him if he read the notes about my condition. He said confusion. They took medical testing before the doctor and said results were fine except I have a bpm of 900 which is heart failure. I also told him that I had continual trouble breathing when I just walk and that is a sign of heart failure. Will never visit there again

Friendly lady at the register process. White female nurse didn't announce herself upon entering room I was seen and in did not introduce herself to me as a patient. She never told me I was get to go after she sent my prescription via electronically. Nurse knew I was in pain and walked by knowing she already sent my information regarding prescription and didn't a word. Spoke to me about how to use my medication outside of the room I was being seen at and walked off. Appeared to be uncomfortable because I was a black male.

Overall I was not satisfied with the Professionalism at this facility and won't be returning here for any other problems regarding my health. Would not recommend going especially if you are in serious pain.

We just moved from NJ to Aiken SC thinking how beautiful and cheap it would be here and how cheap the new houses are. There's a reason why everything is cheap. Horrible response time for medical care. No jobs here either. My baby was burning up with a horrible fever one night where his skin burned my hand when I touched him. I went across the street from my house to Aiken medical center.

The security guard tried to stop me to put a sticker visitor pass on me. I told him get outta my way and that has no importance to a infant emergency. My son was completely limp in my hand barely moving. By the time they took his temperature it was 104. Very dangerous! He could have died. The nasty women at the front end emergency told me it's first come first serve. Doesn't matter what the emergency is.

They were not concerned with baby at all. Told me the wait was so long they didn't know when or if they could see him! I went back to my house across the street and dialed 911 thinking they would have to treat him asap. 22 minute response time to my house! Then 2 Emt women showed up. One was an old lady who could barely walk. They did not know how to even work the gurney. Took forever to unstrap it and put my son in. 26 min in driveway.

They said they do not move fast or talk fast like I'm used to. I'm like what do you mean. You gotta move for an emergency! My son almost died. I had shoved Tylenol down his throat waiting 22 min for 911. By the time we left driveway his temp was 101.she then radioed it in that she had a non emergent toddler! We went to children's hospital of Georgia where we waited for 12 hrs in a lobby!

They did dose him again with Motrin and Tylenol when I got there. But we waited 12 hours. There was no covid test or anything. Just sent us home. The south doesn't realize the medical attention is so bad compared to NJ. NJ has the best hospitals around. I had baby tested. He has omicron. Shame on Aiken medical center for being so cruel to my baby.

They could have caused his death due to him having no medical attention and all he needed was a fever reducer and a doctor to diagnose! They do not care about anyone at this hospital. Not babies. Not the elderly. Nothing. So if someone has a cut on their hand they should go in front of a dying baby!?!?. I told them I was calling the news media. They said good call them. We dont care. This hospital should be shut down and investigated! Do not go here or you will die!

The hospital was clean and had sanitizier products everywhere to ensure that everyone had access to supplies to keep them safe. There was staff help with the login computers if needed. The security officer was nice and directed you where you needed to go per your objective/appointment schedule. Their scheduled surgery time for me was on schedule. All the staff I interacted with was so very nice and kind to me - no prejudices shown towards me at all. And we shared little stories of our lives and learned a few things too. We laughed and hopefully made each other have a better day.

I went in for a procedure in Endo. Registration was a breeze with Ms. Alicia R she escorted me up to Endo and the conversation put me at ease. The entire staff and I really mean entire staff in Endo was very friendly and made me feel so much at ease. My nurse Johnathan was just awesome he really took great care of me. The other nurses who assisted made me feel so comfortable.

The atmosphere in the area was happy and made me feel at ease I loved how they all got along so well. I even noticed it with the other patients. Also, Mike the anesthesiologist was so nice and polite. I would definitely come back to Aiken Regional.

First class bedside service all the way through my procedure. From the genuinely kindhearted and yet detailed professionalism of the admitting nurse, as well as all the doctors and nurses in the OR right through the procedure, and the super efficient and equally kind discharge nurse, and a very thoughtful follow up call the next day. Very thankful for the quality of service I received.

Excellent team of medical staff took care of me. The procedure was well explained and the ream made the process as fun as possible. Although I hope to never visit any hospital again, everything was very comfortable, organized and you were never forgotten about. I highly recommend Aiken regional for any necessary procedures you may have to go through. I spent my time with the cardiac group. Thank you

I had a wonderful experience at Aiken Regional. From the time I arrived, from registration to post surgery and discharge, I was treated with gentle kindness and respect. Everyone was helpful and concerned for my welfare. It couldn't have gone more smoothly. My attending nurse, Becky, even let me call my husband on her cell phone to let him know how things were going.

What can i say other then the energy is different from night to day, i dont feel like my illness matters to some of them and i truly think LEAN needs to really look into the er department. There is no real privacy you can hear when the nurses or doc are speaking with another patient about there visit. HIPPA violation there. Then you wait for hours despite covid it was the same long before to be seen in ten min or less given a paper and told to go to some other doctor so they can do what was done there again.

What is up with this place. I hate its the only option close by we need better options or we all will end up.so disappointing. Not all the docs care or nurses but for the few that do this is not about you all, you can tell who enjoys what they do and who dont. I spent working hours here and they dont check on you to see if your breathing or ok just go on about whateverr they doing. Maybe they need more help that way the wait wont be so long and the doc aren't pulled in 1000 directions.

Called the main switchboard in order to find out if a patient was admitted last evening. The phone rang several times - finally got a recording asking me to dial the patient's room - which I did not know. This went on at least three times. Finally dialed billing to see if someone there could transfer me to a human. The lady said said she was sorry, there was no way she could do that.

Thank goodness I haven't had an emergency. Any time I have needed surgery, I have been able to pick a physician in Augusta and been treated very well. And yes - the phones at those facilities answer the phones promptly!

A had a procedure this year and received a bill to which I called on multiple times to get information and make a payment. But this hospital had virtually no one answering phones and they readily sent it off for collection in no time. Unfortunately I paid it off without knowing what it was for and why? Very irritating since I have no problem paying my bills.

I have been to this hospital a few times and have to say they are terrible. Last time I was very sick and was told by a prompt care to get to a hospital right away or you might die or be disabled. So I went. They sent me home with a fever, raging infection, and in serious pain. Not acceptable, I had to check into another hospital who kept me for three days.

I personally know 4 people who tell me that this hospital killed someone they love and know of 5 other people who tell me they almost killed them. Shame I didn't hear these stories before I went there a few months ago. Unless you are suicidal do NOT go there. Their advertising is false, their staff rude and hostile, their care suboptimal. Why they aren't shut down amazes me!

The check in staff isn't as friendly as one would like when not feeling well late at night or in general at all. Their inpatient nurses and Phlebotomy staff are typically very friendly, helpful, compassionate, and professional! The designated smoking areas are unreasonable and the vending machines lack variety and are typically out of a lot of items!

The Aurora Cafeteria staff is awesome! Sometimes the ER wait times are 5-8 hours! However, there have been a few times over the years that we've been in and out in under 3 hours. Overall not, a bad facility! Their Aurora Program and staff is wonderful! For emergency care tho, we prefer going elsewhere.

I would put a negative rating if I could! My Mother was left in a room in the ER for more than an hour after we rushed her by ambulance there because she was having stroke like symptoms. I was not allowed to go back with her and no questions were asked of me. They entered her name wrong so they screwed up from the get go. She had a dangerously low sodium level and has obvious mental issues now that she did not have prior to Wednesday. Horrible medical decisions were/weren't made in time that have resulted in a very intelligent, independent and important woman being left dependent on others for her care

I've been to rehabs before and detox facilities, this place is terrible. Lets get the positive out of the way. The nurses are friendly and caring. Now the negative. My federal patient rights where violated here. I came in on a Monday and by Thursday I felt ready to leave, AMA of course. "Doctor" Walton came into my room and was extremely unprofessional and rude.

I asked to sign out AMA and he said I was on involuntary hold, I asked why and he said that I told him I was suicidal.which I did not. I then asked to see the AMA paperwork and he straight up said "no" and just walked out of my room. I asked a nurse to see my involuntary hold paperwork and it was written on there that I told the "doctor" that I was suicidal, which was a straight up lie. IE: thats fraud. Paragraph 3 and 5 of AMA paperwork alleviates a medical facility of any responsibility of what happens to someone when they leave that facility.

He then made a show about it and brought in a security guard who directly told me that if I left of my own volition that he would arrest me, cuff me, and bring me right back. Then you want to say I'm on involuntary hold because you claim I'm suicidal? Thats a federal minimum of 72 hours, yet they released me the very next day. And releasing someone who is "suicidal" short of 72 hours then means you and your facility are responsible for their actions.

So I was lied to, treated like shit, fraud was committed, minimum standards of care where not followed, and my rights were violated. This place is terrible and walton needs to loose his medical license.

I must say that I now see how things work around here. I had to come here a few years ago and it was the worst experience that I have ever experienced. I had to come here with a friend after a car accident and because she has a close family member that works here she received the VIP treatment. It's really pathetic that if you're a normal person walking in the service is horrible, the staff is rude and they treat you as if they don't want to be bothered with you.

However if your family member works here you are treated with the upmost respect and you feel welcome and can sense the good energy. This hospital is the WORST and I will continue to say this until I personally experience something different when I'm a patient.

Pray you die on the way to ARMC opposed to getting service there. They have performed unnecessary surgery on me. The ER is a disaster. the staff is nothing but rude and they never know what left hand is doing from the right hand. It is joke of a hospital head to Augusta if you have to drag your dead body to do it.

I was admitted for gallbladder removal. The staff is grossly unorganized. My nurse calls up to operating room that we are headed up and we're told "sorry I made a mistake. We don't have a bed ready in surgery." Surprisingly, the surgery went well and I was stayed overnight. They told me Dr Terry would come see me in the morning and then probably release me to go home. It's now noontime and Dr still hasn't come to see me and release me.

We finally got pissed off enough and had the nursing station call Dr Terry and guess what? He's out of town today. Now a new Dr will have to sign release papers and he is in surgery for a while. Care seems well. Customer service is terrible and I will never come back here again.

Like everyone else I waited a long time in the emergency room, was treated poorly, and left after 7 hours with an incorrect diagnosis. So I wrote a compliant letter. The ceo and many others called me and truly want to make things better. I am encouraged by their attitude and hope they follow through on their promises. The new ceo has not had time to make the changes he needs to reverse the trends and attitudes.

I feel that the doctors in the er are contractors and not accountable to the ceo and he needs to fix that. I will post a follow up after the review of my case and root cause of my misdiagnosis is complete.
