Evergreen Family Health and Evergreen Sports Medicine are the best! I have been able to schedule all appointments within a week; the front office staff is helpful and always professional; and my providers are thoughtful, caring and knowledeable.

I have NEVER had a wait time less than 30 minutes past the appointment time. SEVERAL times I've left after a wait time of OVER ONE HOUR. The attitude is terrible. Staff can be rude. Dr's are entitled with a lack of empathy. I'm tired of the long wait only to watch the Dr. GOOGLE my symptoms as I tell them. I literally called Andrea Reagan out on this the last time we met.

Her response was a nervous laugh and she dismissed it. Might as well use Web MD then go to urgent care. I'm currently searching a NEW practice as this is truly the worst practice I've dealt with in my 50 plus years.

Evergreen Family Health saved my life this thanksgiving. They are caring and very knowledgeable. Cheryl Underwood the NP is amazing and so is the other NP who saw me as well, (I can't remember her name). I would give 10 stars if I could. Thank you again Evergreen Family Health.

Had an absolutely horrible experience with Cheryl Underwood at a physical. Asked for an STI test and was told that STIs are "icky" (so stigmatizing, rude and shaming), that I should definitely be worried despite not having any symptoms, and that she "would not want to be in my shoes." I explained that my reason for getting tested was that I had been lied to by previous sexual partners and she said that "these days it's too easy, guys can just get horny and go on tinder and you think you're in a monogomous relationship but you're not." So, essentially, while looking out for my own sexual health I was shamed for past sexual behavior (which wasn't even my fault), told that having an STI is something to be ashamed of, and was basically told that I will get cheated on in relationships.

I left and immediately started hysterically sobbing in my car and will never return. I can't speak to other doctors or other issues, but I was completely dismayed and horrified by the way she spoke to me and need to warn others, especially any sexual assault survivors, about her because it left me an emotional wreck for the rest of the day. AND I didn't even get the STI test I asked for and was told I needed to come back and that she would administer it.

Cheryl Underwood should absolutely not be allowed to see another patient ever. For someone who specializes in women's health she was an absolute monster to my friend. Basically shamed her and told her "I would not want to be in your shoes". What doctor speaks to a patient like that? Someone clearly FAILED their bedside manner course, absolutely disgusting. This place is trash and Cheryl Underwood should be ASHAMED of herself.

I went in for a dizzy feeling in the head. This conversation then moved on to me potentially being pregnant. I replied that I've already taken home tests and they have all been negative so I'm fairly confident I'm ok. I was then told "oh it's funny, those at home tests are almost never accurate anymore" by Dr. Newman. This comment made me feel ashamed for trying to take my health into my own hands and naive for utilizing my at home resources in a world where time is valuable and dr appts are impossible to fit in.

I'm not sure every doctor in this practice is like this so take this review with a grain of salt. But as a mid 20 year old, I did not feel welcomed or supported by Dr. Newman.

We're from out of state visiting friends & I wrenched my leg pretty badly in a bike accident. Luckily for me our friends were partients at Evergreen & recommended I at least try getting an appt. They were terrific when I called & set up an appt the next day. On arrival I was immediately directed to an examinating room & immediately seen by Sam who did a quick intake.

Within minutes I was being examined by Dr Lippmann who wa awesome, very thorough, explained everything very succinctly, answered all our questions & made sure we understood the information he gave us. I'd give them all 10 stars if could.

I agree with another negative review here, on 2 key points: 1. No consideration will be given for the value of your time. Unless your appointment is at the front end of their schedule (early morning), count on waiting a ridiculous amount of time. It seems they routinely overbook. 2. Dr. Reiss: I have not met a more smug, arrogant, condescending doctor in my lifetime.

The classic MD-God complex. It appears he has spent much time in his ivory tower. Very unrelatable/disconnected from patient's perspectives. It is unfortunate, as there are many outstanding people there. I'd look elsewhere.

I must exercise my duty to warn others about considering Evergreen Family Health. Please consider receiving care at another practice. I regret ever having learned of this practice. All of my visits were in April 2021. This review is no reflection on the staff (Ms. C. and Ms. J were wonderful to me). This review reflects poorly only on the doctors with whom I was scheduled to see.

My first visit with Dr. Salter was routine (a minor issue). The major problem I encountered was the last three visits to this practice (four in total). On my second visit scheduled with Dr. Salter, I left without having seen him due to having had to return to work. I chalked this second visit up to a "busy day" and rescheduled. On my third (unsuccessful) visit scheduled with Dr. Salter, I had to leave again because of having had to go to another doctor's appointment.

I even asked the intake person to inform Dr. Salter that I was scheduled for another doctor's appointment during my third visit and it made no difference. I then requested to be rescheduled to see "another" physician other than Dr. Salter because I (incorrectly) assumed that the problem rested solely with him. The receptionist then rescheduled me to see Dr. Reiss. when I left without seeing Dr. Salter for a second time.

I asked the receptionist if seeing patients later than 30 minutes past a scheduled time is "normal practice" at Evergreen, to which she replied "no." On my fourth and final visit, I was scheduled for April 30th at 4:40 pm and arrived early. I parked in the parking lot at 4:14 pm and waited until 4:23 pm to enter the building and checked in. The receptionist (Ms. C. - a wonderful lady), quickly escorted me to a room.

I was then seen by the assistant, Ms. J (also wonderful), who took my vitals and gave me water. I waited until 5:15 pm to be seen. Dr. Reiss then entered with an assistant and completed the visit with me. I was hoping to have heard "Thank you for your patience in waiting" when Dr. Reiss introduced himself; however, no such luck. I did not mention my experience to Dr. Reiss during my visit with him because I simply wanted to get my results and treatment plan to follow up with another practice.

I felt the need; however, to voice my concerns with Ms. J who walked with me to the door after my visit was over. Ms. J promptly asked me to wait while she notified Dr. Reiss of my concerns. I then relayed my concerns with Dr. Reiss and regretted doing so after he offered no apology for my inconvenience. The lack of a simple "acknowledgment" of my inconvenience - especially from a "founding practitioner" of this practice - is unacceptable. Dr. Reiss showed no concern whatsoever for my wasted time.

I should not have had to visit Evergreen three times to complete a follow-up visit. I also detected a slight attitude of bemused condescension from Dr. Reiss when I relayed my concerns to him. What was most alarming was the fact that Dr. Reiss informed me that he, in addition to seeing patients, was required to "take calls." It's possible that there may be a high staff turnover - or even an "overbooking" - issue at this practice (which would come as no surprise).

Please avoid this place, unless you do not mind waiting at least 30-35 minutes past your scheduled time along with others being able to hear your conversation with a doctor through closed doors.

Excellent doctors and top-notch professional quality care. If you're looking for personalized care from doctors and staff that truly care about you and your health, than Evergreen Family Health will exceed your expectations. We have been receiving care from them since moving back home to Vermont in June 2015. Doctors here are not afraid to refer you to the best specialists in the area for whatever medical condition you may have now or in the future.

The knowledge that you are being treated by doctors who are the best in the primary internal medicine field in the State of Vermont is unprecedented. You will not be sorry in choosing Evergreen Family Health.

Previously considered leaving this clinic when they had me come in for unnecessary visits. For example, I thought I had a sinus infection and they had me come in for a visit. The doctor asks me, "Do you have a fever?" and I answer "no." "Well, not a sinus infection" he informs me and the visit ends at around the 3 minute mark. Seriously, no one could have screened me when I called in to save me the time? Today, my husband had to wait in the car for a combined TWO hours while I tried to navigate trips and waits at the pharmacy. First, the clinic stated they sent the script into the pharmacy.

Then when I waited for over an hour at the pharmacy the clinic alleged that it is illegal to electronically prescribe controlled medications (I need a mild pain reliever for my shingles) so I had to pick up a physical script-- but only after waiting over 20 minutes for them to correct the script because another error had been made. Anyway, I know for a fact that these can be sent in electronically because UVM does it all the time (have friends who go to their practices). In general, this is a poorly run office that does little to prioritize their patients' time and experience.

Do not use this place! They are only about money not about your health. I have been home deathly ill the last few days, spent a day in the Er from food poisoning, and needed to cancel my appt as I'm still sick and they said"well we require 24 hours. That's our policy." No, "I hope you're ok." Horrible customer service. 101 of how NOT to run a business. Pathetic.

I love the NP Danielle Beaudoin I see at Evergreen! It took me about a year after moving to Vermont to find a primary care provider who I trusted and wanted to work with. Danielle has always made me feel comfortable to ask questions and takes my health and my needs seriously. This practice was recommended to me by a trusted friend and coworker and I'll be recommending it to anyone who asks for my advice finding healthcare in the greater Burlington area!
