I took my son there for asthma about 17 or so years ago when he was 7 or so years old. Dr. Singer put my son on a ton of medications to suppress symptoms, some of which were very unusual, and frankly a little scary. Dr. Singer said if my son didn't take them all, he would die (he didn't). Eventually the meds became so ridiculous and frankly weren't helping all that much, so we finally just stopped going to see him.

And of course, Dr. Singer's "personality" was one more reason we stopped going. We then found a chiropractor who gave us a healthier diet to eat, and my son's asthma got much better. Today he is virtually symptom free and off all his meds. Unfortunately, I really can't say much good about Dr. Singer.

Dr. Chiang is the best allergist I've ever seen. If you go to this office make sure you see him and not Dr. Singer. I haven't been back to this office for years now, because after going there for 10 years, I wrote an honest review about Dr. Singer, and even though my review of Dr. Chiang & the staff could not have been nicer, admin staff berated me for my review and made me so uncomfortable I never went back.

I got a new allergist who was not 1/10th as good as Dr. Chiang, so this whole thing really impacted my life in a negative way. Staff treated me so terribly and were inappropriate and unprofessional due to my review, which was honest & tactful and not rude in any way. Then I tried to contact Dr. Chiang to let him know, but staff refused to let me speak to him. Dr.

Singer is just a terrible doctor--there's no way around it. He made me so uncomfortable the few times I saw him. But apparently patients are not allowed to have this opinion of him. I really miss Dr. Chiang--I'm not joking when I say he saved my life! But I could never go back after staff made me so horribly uncomfortable.

Dr. Singer's office is wonderful and the staff are friendly. Nurse Mercedes is the nicest person on this planet. It is convenient to have the allergy shots as a walk-in basis. I look forward to coming to this office to see all the staff. Dr. Singer was very thorough during our appt. He spent a lot of time with me. The office is also great with COVID cleanliness and social distancing. The staff are all wearing masks during COVID - thank you!

Had a very strange experience with Dr. Singer a couple of years ago. I only saw him once when my previous allergist retired. Got creepy vibes immediately. I've seen many allergists in the past, and none of them had ever asked me to take my top off and change into a paper gown for an exam. So when Dr. Singer asked me to do that, I thought it was a weird request and refused.

The rest of the exam went fine as I was only there for a prescription refill, but Dr. Singer never explained why he wanted me to take my top off for the exam. Please avoid seeing Dr. Singer - I'm not sure why he hasn't retired. Dr. Chiang, who also works at the same office, is completely professional and highly recommended.

Looking at the 1 star and 5 star reviews they totally make sense to me. I have been going to this office for about 4 years now. I have had both good and bad experiences with Dr. Singer. He does a very thorough job, but the result is often a long wait. Last year this resulted in it being too late for me to get a chest X-ray when I went to him with breathing issues not knowing I had pneumonia.

We waited for an hour in the waiting room and then he lectured my husband and I for 30 minutes that we should have gone to the ER. He has a sometimes inappropriate sense of humor and can be a bit abrasive. He knows his stuff but is not easy to interact with. However, I have been requesting to see Dr Chang, the other doctor in the office, and it has been a much better experience. He is very straightforward and doesn't waste time, but is happy to answer all my questions and offer a solution. I definitely recommend Dr Chang.

Unfortunately, the other one star reviews are correct. They are actual scam artists who will quote one one price and charge you another and their customer service/bedside manor is non-existent. Buyer beware, do not go here.

I had significant breathing issues stemming from my overseas military service. I went to one of the best medical centers in the country and they were unable to find the problem. Then I was referred to Dr Singer, who worked with me and found I had two separate conditions, he cured one and got the other to the point that it is now well-controlled with meds. Dr Chiang was also brilliant and helpful in treating and curing a related condition. Very grateful for them both.

I really liked Dr. Singer. I now know that I have asthma. I'm now on an inhaler and this has made a world of difference for my health. I have been a teacher for 55 years and thou I love teaching I would often become sick with Bronchitis. I had a 2 month bout of this and tried my best to get well yet all of the antibiotics didn't last. I basically stayed in bed for almost 2 months and I still had a tightness in my throat, then sore throat, then the bronchitis would return. Dr.

Singer knew almost immediately that I had asthma. I'm sad that I didn't go to him sooner. I had taken allergy shots for years and now I find out that my real issue was asthma. I recommend Dr. Singer to anyone that has breathing problems or throat issues. He's a very kind and thorough doctor that is highly knowledgeable and cares. Jody W.

After all these brave women have come forward to expose sexual harassment in the workplace I am reminded of an awful experience with Dr. Allan Singer, an allergist in Torrance, many years ago. I went to see Dr. Singer for my allergies. I was seen in his private office and asked very inappropriate questions. When he asked me my profession he stopped my answer because he wanted to first guess.

He said he thought I was a flight attendant. Then, I was taken into an examining room without a nurse. I was only wearing a paper gown. Dr. Singer had me lie down and he put drops in my eyes so I could not see and he proceeded to tell me what a great body I had and that men in the waiting room were commenting on my body. After the exam, I had not received any information on my allergies - he just told me I needed to return the next day.

I was in a state of shock and when I got home and received a call from his office to schedule the next appointment I just said: "I will not be back." I was scared to report him because he had all my personal information including my address. I had young children at the time and I was working and feared he might retaliate. Over the years, when I had a chance, I would tell other medical doctors about this situation.

The answer was usually the same, "I have heard stories like this about Dr. Singer!" Why is this man still in business? I only wish I had been stronger at that time and reported him to the medical board - but it has now been over seven years. It was interesting to see someone else state on Yelp, "Very strange doctor. Tries to be funny but is inappropriate and insulting."

My 13 yr old daughter was going through severe eczema flare ups for the past month. the flare ups were so bad it affected her entire upper body and face. Being 13 yrs old is hard enough but to have eczema on her face was devastating. Her primary and dermatologist tried to help her but their treatments were not helping her. A friend referred us to Dr. Singers office.

The awesome staff helped so much with obtaining approval for treatment. We went to see Dr. Chiang and he was amazing. He was very patient and answered all of her questions. He did blood tests and gave her a treatment protocol to follow. Within a week there was a drastic 80% positive change. Her skin began to clear up, the itching had decreased and her confidence increased. Thank you to everyone for helping us!

Dr. Allan Singer was amazing doctor, but the nurse who did the allergy test on my son was very poor on her patient relationship skills. She did not meet the qualifications to communicate with a pediatric patient. I highly DO NOT recommend pediatric patients due to their lack of compassion. They will hurt your child and only make them feel worse about themselves. My son was traumatized with the experience, and has not stopped talking about it.

Very strange doctor. Tries to be funny but is inappropriate and insulting. Waiting room needs a major overhaul and, ironically, appears dirty and dusty. Perfect for your allergy prone patients. Doctor's office is cramped and uncomfortable because there are file boxes all over the place. They appear to be patient files. Hope mine doesn't end up there for the next patient to see.

I was referred to Dr. Singer to get to the bottom of some weird allergic reactions I have been having for about a year. He was extremely thorough and straightforward during the opening consultation. I have worked in healthcare for 15+ years with countless physicians and he understands patients. He also discovered an underlying condition during my exam that was causing some of the symptoms that I thought were related to the allergic reactions (but weren't), so that was helpful.

I hardly waited during the course of the exam, it just kept moving along, aside from incubation times where I HAD to wait. The office staff is patient and friendly. Apparently, they also do pediatric allergies, FYI. Good team/office overall. Try them out for your immunology needs.

Dr. Allan Singer is an excellent doctor. I have gone to Dr. Singer since 1989. Early on I went to a Dermatologist for a skin allergy and continuous allergy problems. I went to ear, nose and throat doctors for a year and I tried to find a cure. I went to Dr. Singer and within a few days my problem was cured for my skin allergy and for my other allergies are under control. Dr.

Singer is direct and straight to the point. His bedside manner is not the best, don't expect it. This doctor is very knowledgeable, and if you truly have allergy issues, he will get it under control. Don't waste your time by going to other doctors. Dr. Singer is the "only" physician I would recommend for allergies.

Dr. Singer and Chiang really know there stuff. They are always efficient and thorough to find the best treatment available and possible for your needs. I would recommend these allergists to anyone. Their staff is just as great and always courteous. They have flexible hours that meet the needs of working people and there are no closures for lunch so you can go at anytime.

I have been seeing Dr. Singer for over 30 years. Initially, I had an episode in my 30's that at the time appeared to be a heart attack which required a 911 call and emergency treatment at Long Beach Community Hospital. The emergency room Doc's and the cardiologist could not find any signs of cardiac issues, in fact they had no idea what caused the symptoms.

Since the event scared me enough, I pursued various paths for years after the event to try to find what had gone wrong with no success. When I went to see Dr. Singer years later on an unrelated matter, with his intensive analytical approach to diagnosis, he determined eventually that I had a reaction to a shellfish meal I had eaten. As I recall he spent a number of hours with me at the initial meeting testing and evaluating my allergies from numerous perspectives.

I had never had any reaction to shellfish prior to that time. Obviously, from that moment on I put my complete trust in his diagnostic and treatment abilities. since that time, I have referred many friends and business associates to him, and everyone has commented on his exceptional knowledge and skills as an allergist. I am also very aware now of the tremendous reputation he has among the top doctors in southern California.

I have also become aware of people from outside the US that have made special trips to be treated by Dr. Singer as well. I recommend him highly if you have anything related to allergies.
