Two types of allergy skin testing are usually performed: scratch tests or multi-tests on the back, and intradermal tests on the arm. Infants and small children generally receive only limited skin testing. Immune and allergy blood test are more frequently necessary in our very young children. The number of tests will vary based on the patient's need.
We accept most insurance plans. This list does not include all plans we currently accept and is not a guarantee we participate with your specific plan. Please contact your insurance company to verify if Dr. Ellenburg or Dr. Frazier are listed as participating providers with your specific plan.
An allergist is a physician specially trained, skilled and experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of allergies, asthma and related immunologic disorders such as hay fever, hives and eczema. The effective treatment of allergic disorders must be solidly based on advanced training. The training of an allergist involves at least 9 years of intense study--4 years of medical school, followed by 3 years of training in internal medicine or pediatrics, plus 2 more years of specialized training in allergy and immunology.
Dr. Ellenburg received his medical degree at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. After completing medical school, Dr. Ellenburg competed three years of general pediatric training at the University of Louisville Children's Hospital. Following his general pediatric training, Dr. Ellenburg completed two additional years of allergy fellowship at the University of Louisville.

The billing office is extremely unprofessional. I was billed for serums that were made AFTER I called and requested to have the service stopped. I tried multiple times to get in touch with this office and could not get anyone to call me back. When I finally did get in touch with someone, I was told they had no record of my call and I would have to pay the almost $800 bill in full.

This seems negligent that better records are not kept on their end. The nursing staff and doctors are great at this office but I would not recommend using this office because of the shady billing practices being used.

Dr. Singer has been such a help to me and my little boy. He helped us figure out what was wrong and he continues to help guide us through this journey of food allergies and asthma. He is very caring and personable as well as knowledgeable. I appreciate his guidance so much! I recommend.

Our experiences with nurses were fine (it's obvious they are not trained to specifically work with children) but Dr. Singer was terrific. When it came time to pay our bill, we were put on a payment plan, which we greatly appreciated; however, we were suddenly charged with finance charges. Once I contacted the office, I was told that the explanation of a sudden "account review" charge "should have gone out with the bills" and that "there is a third party who does the billing." We never received a letter explaining this until I contacted the office to inquire about the situation. Although Dr. Singer is great, I recommend checking out other allergists before resorting to this one.

Dr. Robinson is absolutely wonderful. I trust him completely with my son. And that says a lot. His staff is always kind and courteous. Never have I received a bill for some trumped up bill like some places do. They truly care for their patients.

Dr. Andrew Singer is by far the best allergist in East TN. He has a wonderful bedside manner and cares deeply for you as a patient. If you are having any problems related to allergies of any kind, I can assure you, he will find out what you are allergic to no matter what it takes. When he finds out what is causing your symptoms, he will devise a treatment plan and work with you every step of the way to get your symptoms under control.

He is a very caring doctor and doesn't just treat you as another number. I have been going to him for years and will continue to do so and if you are reading this I highly recommend that you make him your allergist!
