Asthma is a potentially life-threatening, chronic lung disease. People with asthma have airways that become overly-sensitive, inflamed, and swollen, usually in response to some trigger. In asthma, airway muscles tighten, causing reduced airflow and difficulty breathing. This condition is also worsened by increased production of mucous.
A food allergy occurs when the body overreacts to a food that generally does not cause symptoms in most people. The most common food allergies in children include milk, eggs, soy, wheat, and peanuts. In older children and adults, allergic reactions to tree nuts, fish and shellfish including lobster, crab, shrimp, and clams are common as well.

Well I like to feel a warm reception when I walk in the door at a physician's office. I felt the person at the desk was unwelcoming upon checking in. I asked not to be reminded 7 times about an appointment, that 7 times was excessive, and this seemed to upset them. They said "you'd be surprised", putting down their other patients in my opinion. Then I was given some forms to sign, which I actually read.

I asked questions about the forms, which seemed to put off the lady as well. I told her my opinion of one form, which seemed to bother her and I guess maybe most people sign without reading, but I read the form and asked questions, formed an opinion she didn't like and I was upset and she was too. Then she told me I owed a copay. She knew I was new to Medicare and she told me I had already used some of my copay, which I had not.

I haven't paid anyone anything. I told her that I hadn't used any copay, wondering how she knew this, and I gave her my credit card. Then 30 min. later I was told to go home, that they wouldn't see me. I always read forms at every doctor appointment, I always ask questions, I usually receive ONE reminder, not seven, and I am usually treated warmly, with at least a few smiles.

I have never felt put off upon entry, just because I asked to be taken off the "don't remind me 7 times" list and being told "you'd be surprised"? Really? Do they always put down their patients? She actually told me that going to multiple times is how they got everyone in there. Some people are actually competent enough to remember and it's not unreasonable to think 7 times is annoying.

One reminder was 15 min after we made the appointment. Also, when you unsubscribe it says you won't get info on the portal. And carefully read the financial document. Don't just sign it. My opinion is that it sounds like a reprimand, very unfriendly. Ok that's all. I wouldn't go back, even if they wouldn't see me. I don't blindly sign anything and I want to be greeted like I'm welcome. A smile would help. That was the cons. The pro: the building is nice and the waiting room is large enough to easily maintain a good social distance from others.

I took my kids into the office for shots. One child has special needs and doesn't receive a shot. The office manager told me that she couldn't wait inside with me even if everyone is wearing a mask. I explained I'm a single mom and she has special needs. The manager replied "not my problem." The manager asked my child their age but my child is nonverbal so I spoke up then in a rude tone of voice the manager asks my child their age again.

I had to explain special needs and nonverbal. Even on a good day this clinic cant get anything correct. Plan to spend at least 2 hours getting shots and a couple more for the appointment. Not LGBTQ friendly.

Best allergy doctors in NE Oklahoma! I have been treated for my allergies by this clinic since I was eight years old. I am now 66! My life would be miserable without them. The doctors are extremely knowledgeable and have great "bedside" manners. The staff is courteous and well trained. All the offices run like clockwork. I give them TEN stars!

I have been going to the Mingo office for 7 years and not once have Sheila, Tammy and Dr. Purser been nothing but the BEST to me and my family! I receive the best care, each one of them are very professional and are exceptionally kind to me. I would recommend the Specialty Department to anyone. I look forward to seeing them each month and I cannot say thank you enough to each of them for all the care they've provided for me over the years. I would write 7 individually great 5/5 reviews for every year coming into the Mingo Office. THANK YOU!

We have visited Allergy Clinic of Tulsa at Mingo for the past three years to see Dr. Love for my son's oral immunotherapy and routine care. His nurse, Laura, was amazing with my son! He was a difficult patient and she handled him with so much patience and understanding and got us through the process so that he could graduate (when it looked like he wouldn't make it to the end).

Now he can freely eat his allergen and it's been life changing not to have that worry anymore. We love this clinic, doctor and staff and will continue to come here for follow up even with our three hour drive. It's worth it!

We've been really impressed with the the Allergy Clinic of Tulsa -Mingo office. The recommended treatments are working very well, the admin staff is kind and patient, the doctors and nurses are friendly and quick to educate/explain things to both kids and adults. The facilities are nice, plenty of parking and it's conveniently located near the highway, so getting there isn't an issue.

Outstanding care from all the doctors I've seen at this allergy clinic. I live in Arkansas and travel to Tulsa for allergy treatment. Dr. Kathryn Brown has been exceptional and has my respiratory system under control for the first time in a long time. She listens, she cares and she is proactive. The admin staff has been excellent and I have had no issues with billing.

I chose Allergy of Tulsa because they have helped my grandson so very much. Under the care of the doctors here, he can participate in very active sports on a weekly basis. That is wonderful.
