Your medical care staff were very friendly and helpful. They kept my son calm and ready for his surgery. They also answered all my questions and the surgery was over before I finished my coffee. Dell children's medical center is the best!

I just had open heart surgery on April 22nd at this hospital. Words can't do it justice. Every single staff person I encountered couldn't of been any better. From the doctors, to the nurses, to the room cleaners, to the kitchen staff. WOW. I've never felt more cared for during a major procedure. My day and night nurses made this experience personable and really made my days easier.

My doctor and his team were top notch. My medical coordinator was always on top of everything making sure I felt 110% on every situation. My therapist that I had been provided with prior has been sensational. I am just beyond words with my whole experience. Very blessed.

I am in shock of the care that we received here. They knew nothing about my daughters rare disorder and I told them over and over again to call the outside doctor that knew about this disorder and they didnt. They did no blood work that I asked them to or scan for a seizure overnight. The worst stay every! The list goes on of all the bad mistakes they made.

They made us stay the night for no reason and they did nothing through the night but waste our money. They told us they were going to do a scan for seizures all night and never did. My daughter had a seizure at night. I am angry! They released us and right when she got home she had another one. I asked for a referral over the phone to go to the Mayo clinic but they said since we were already released that they couldn't do it.

While waiting to be seen in the ER with our newborn, I too was concerned regarding the wait however I have to say being seen took a little bit given they were busy but they were still pretty quick. After an ultrasound it was found our baby had to have a surgery the next morning. As a new mom or any mom, you can imagine how scary and overwhelming this can be.

I have to say I was VERY impressed with the nurses and surgical staff! From the moment we got out into a room until we left they were AMAZING. Their communication and compassion helped elevate the concern. Specifically the nurses Regan and Jamie were the most kindhearted, helpful, and sweet nurses who had the most amazing bedside manner. They went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of.

There were a few others (so sorry) but I can't remember names of each person that helped in this whole process. So a big thank you to them, we cannot say enough great things about y'all. I only give 4 stars due to the ER check in staff as they make you feel rushed and you were just another number. Other than that I would definitely recommend!

I was terrified sitting in a waiting room with my baby after reading all of these horrible reviews. Wondering had I made a mistake letting Georgetown transfer her. The security guards and "gatekeepers" were rude and did not like us going in and out much, but I tried to imagine the crazy stuff that has happened to make things like that. I went outside to smoke and heard the helicopter fly in (with serious trauma cases) and went back in the room to wait two more hours maybe (4-5hrs total).

Then all of a sudden the doctors popped into the room and everything changed. The nurses made my daughter feel special and important. The doctors were amazing and worked with multiple large teams to make sure nothing was missed. We were transferred to the ICU where our opinions were valued, and doctors spent hours re explaining everything to make sure we understood their opinions/observations/tests and checked on us constantly offering food, drinks, and even an Xbox eventually (once we were assigned a room).

This place is great. The people are overworked, stressed, and probably underpaid. They still make things happen EVERY DAY holidays included. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR TAKING CARE OF MY BABY GIRL!

I will never bring my child back here again. It's sad that one person can make the whole experience worse than what it already is. One thing I will not tolerate is someone to talk to my child incorrectly if there is an issue address me not my child. The doctor was amazing and he was very gentle with my child. I understand they were busy and it was so much going on, but that doesn't not give someone the right to disrespect my child at all.

Went to the emergency and the wait time in emergency is more than an hour for sure to get treated. The doctor was good and friendly but then she did not even bother to come into the room for close to 40 minutes while she was passing time outside talking gossip. In India this would definitely not be the case for sure as emergency would be considered just that an emergency. Hope the management fixes these wait time issues and makes it easier for people to take the required medical help.

My baby had an appointment scheduled at 8am. He needed to get sedated and so he didn't had to had eating anything. They didn't care about my baby being hungry. He didn't get sedated until 10:30! They need to be more considerate and follow THEIR OWN SCHEDULE! I was very upset and worry while staff just gossip with each other. They don't care about their patients and it's very sad since they're all children.

I have to say the experience has been exceptionally great. The attentiveness the genuine care and concern. Interest in not just my daughter's well being but my own. I am eternally grateful to the extremely wonderful nurses doctors admin staff the kitchen and cleaning crew. It's been a life changing experience.

Dell children's ER department needs to work on their customer interfacing skills. They make the choice to make it difficult for patient families to handle logistics. It adds more stress and it's so unnecessary. They need to work on being more compassionate and accommodating to parents and family. Other hospitals do this and they should too. Why make something more difficult than it already is.

We've had the absolute best care each time we've been here with our kids. All of the doctors and nurses are extremely attentive, and they do a great job of explaining what's going on and helping to calm nerves. Best children's hospital in the state!

This is entirely the WORST hospital I've ever been too and took my daughter too! I've called about 4 days straight about my daughters COVID test results and can't get ahold of anybody in the emergency department because they're "away" but it seems that they're always away and can't ever answer the phone. The staff is very unhelpful too they keep transferring you to the same number even though nobody answers and they do NOT CARE.

They only care about getting paid. Parents. if you're reading this. from one parent to another take your child ELSEHWERE and DO NOT COME HERE! You will not get called back on information for your child and the staff will NOT HELP YOU NOR CARE! I've been to other hospitals and by far this is the worst one and won't ever recommend it to anybody. Parents please think twice about coming here.

It's not the right decision if you're concerned for your kids and want to know what's really wrong. I thought this was the best option as a hospital but it's definitely the WORST. I definitely will be making this public on all my social media about the carelessness of this hospital to warn other parents because as a worried parent the Hospital should be doing a better job at providing the patients with better information and better care. The ER department needs a lot of work and until that can get fixed I will be warning everybody about this.

I would give it a 0 if I could. I give it 1 because well Google leaves us no choice, and two because of the rest of the nursing team that really did help us and to the 1 physician that finally listened to us described later in review. I can't even begin to start to say how ridiculous this hospital is. My daughter came in with a near 105 fever and borderline low sat levels, was given motrin and dose of steroids and sent home.

She regressed that same night and went downhill! She stopped eating, drinking, everything! The next morning we had our pediatrician directly admit her and once there, she was given different treatments throughout the course of her almost 1 week stay, her I.V. that was placed blew, and was never flushed (nurse on duty fault) once she was taken off fluids.

Unfortunately she had to be placed back on fluids, so because of lack of nursing care on first IV they had to restick her on other arm, double the trauma! She sat with low oxygen levels and no food or fluids on her own for nearly 5 days until we made the several physicians trying to care for her finally put her on steroids which she needed all along from having RSV that was attacking her lungs sending her into a severe asthma exacerbation.

Once they finally listened to us as "last resort", it was like night and day! She started eating, drinking, and running around and being feisty. 5 days people it took them to finally listen to us. She was literally dying. I will never ever ever again give this hospital the time of day. I should've known better when one of our friends kids was sent home from here too years ago with flu very bad, and dehydrated, to return next day to just die due to septic shock!

Just terrible terrible. Oh and don't get me started on insurance people! We're there worried about our kids and these ppl will bug and bug and bug and bug you to complete insurance stuff until you do regardless if your kid is dying or not!

Dells childrens medical center saved my granddaughters life! She was born a micro preemie at San Antonio Childrens hospital and they misdiagnosed her. They wanted to send her home on a tracheotomy at SA Hospital. She coded three times and that's when we made the emergency decision to get her into Dells hands! We are so grateful! The minute she got there; she had a diagnoses and started getting better! The entire network of doctors are amazing. She was sent home on low flow oxygen and a gtube.

I took my 4 month old in and the ENTIRE team of doctors worked hard to make sure they searched EVERY possibility of his symptoms. I'm HIGHLY impressed! We was admitted and he was up and doing 10x better within 24 hours! Thank You thank you thank you dell staff!

I'm so sick of bringing my daughter here. She has mental health issues and the only time you take our case seriously is when the social worker who were assigned to us by the state get involved. I've had enough. Were always sent home after HOURS of just sitting around. I'm going to the medical bored. My daughter being brought there by mental health officers by ambulance, then she comes into the hospital and acts like a perfect kid just so she can be set home with a coloring book to do it all over again. Enough is ENOUGH.

If I could give this hospital 0 stars I would! Staff was very very dismissive of my child screaming in pain. Nurse would simply not listen to what I was telling them. Not to mention how rude they are this is a children's hospital and I didn't come in contact with one nurse who was nice or compassionate towards the situation. We ended up taking my daughter to asencion seton where we were treated quickly and nicely

We brought my son to the ED because of a cough and respiratory difficulty. The emergency department staff and doctors were amazing. Dr. Yee and all the nurses were very kind and knowledgeable. My son was then admitted to a medical unit and the excellent care continued. Dr. Williams, nurses, respiratory therapy, pharmacy etc. were all providing the best possible care while also making sure I as a parent understood each step of care and what needed to be done after discharge. I could not imagine taking my son anywhere other than Dell Children's if hospital care is needed again in the future.

I went to ER on Dell Children's Hospital with my baby, who is 14th month old and my wife. I registered at 09:40PM (08/07/2021) and in waiting room were not so many people. The thing is that now is 3:13AM and I am still here in waiting room and waiting for nurse. My baby and my wife are sleeping outside because it is to cold for them, I need to wait inside, because I do not want to lose my queue.

I was trying to figure out on front desk what is the approximate timeframe for waiting, because I am still waiting more than 4 hours and clerk Rosily trying not to calm me even told me more frustrated words, that other people are waiting 8 hours, so you are waiting less. I will not recommend this ER in Dell Hospital. Very bad service. If you don't know where to spend 5,6,7 hours in cold room without water, explanation and all this with bad service please welcome to Dell Children's Hospital ER.

We have seen a lot of these specialists. endo, rheumy, pulmonologist, gi, etc. They are great with kids, super careful, spend a ton of time with you and explaining to you. I really appreciated them and their care of my daughter. Dr. Heintz the GI was so super cool and then he made her a balloon animal. They're just awesome.
