Used to be better before UCSF took over. The doctor didn't even come by to discuss the results after my procedure. Instead, I was told to schedule an appointment to go over the results if I'd like. The office staff is not friendly and not helpful. They did not send the results of my colonoscopy to my PCP as I requested. The billing department kept billing my colonoscopy as diagnostic and wouldn't change the code. Can not get a hold of a live person to sort out billing with insurance. She doesn't answer the phone and only responds to VM. I would not recommend this office.

Very unprofessional place. The building looked old and lacking maintenance. I drove 30mins for my appointment only to learn that my doctor was in a meeting and I had to reschedule for another appointment. Seems the doctor was not even clear with his own schedule. Little respect to their patient.

I called the Peninsula Gastroenterology Medical Group to make an appointment with Dr Vicky Yang for a routine colonoscopy. The receptionist told me Dr Yang's assistant Chialin Lee would call me on 6/30 to schedule the appointment with me, but the receptionist didn't tell me the phone call would be considered to be a face-to-face office visit to Dr Yang.

When Dr Yang's assistant Lee called me on 6/30. I told her right away to set up an appointment for a routine colonoscopy, and I also told her that my insurance 100% covered for that. But She insisted to schedule an appointment for gastroscope. She required me to do gastroscope first, then colonoscopy later. I reluctantly agreed. Soon I had to cancel it - completely wasted my time.

A few weeks after Lee called, Dr Yang billed me $312.89 as an office visit - for the phone call with Lee on 6/30. Since the call was for making an appointment for Gastroscope, not for colonoscopy, my insurance didn't cover it. I tried to talk to the office manager. Called many times. No one answered the calls. Eventually someone picked up the phone.

But she said the manager was very busy and would call me back later. But the manager never contacted me. So I made a complaint to BBB. I found another patient had complained a similar issue. They didn't respond to that patient's complaint at all, even with the help of BBB. Perhaps, all were our patients' faults. They seemed not to need patients at all. Why did we trouble them? So sorry, dare not to bother you guys anymore in the future.

It took me many weeks just to get my consultation set up and that was only after my primary care doctor called on my behalf. 2 stars because I liked Dr. Wang in the consult but then after that, I have called at least a dozen times to try to schedule my procedure and I never hear back. you can't reach a human being at this office. I already paid for the prescription for the prep and now I am just sitting on it waiting to hear back from this office. Worst customer service I have ever experienced in a medical practice. I can't recommend.
