Dr. Kevin Sponseller is a wonderful doctor bc he listens to what the patient has to say. He is not quick to write a prescription and then kick you out the door like other doctors I have seen. He will actually go research your illness and then get back to you. I feel like I finally found a decent doctor.

The symptoms of sarcoidosis can vary greatly, depending on which organs are involved. Most patients initially complain of a persistent dry cough, fatigue, and shortness of breath. Other symptoms may include: Tender reddish bumps or patches on the skin. Red and teary eyes or blurred vision. Swollen and painful joints. Enlarged and tender lymph glands in the neck, armpits, and groin. Enlarged lymph glands in the chest and around the lungs. Hoarse voice.

Pain in the hands, feet, or other bony areas due to the formation of cysts (an abnormal sac-like growth) in bones. Kidney stone formation. Enlarged liver. Development of abnormal or missed heart beats (arrhythmias), inflammation of the covering of the heart (pericarditis), or heart failure. Nervous system effects, including hearing loss, meningitis, seizures, or psychiatric disorders (for example, dementia, depression, psychosis).

I realize she is a lung doctor, but don't tell someone who has had this for three years that a hoarse voice and cough are not symptoms of sarcoidosis. Looks like you need to study your text book some more. Also I've had my cough and breathing problems BEFORE my health problems caused ME to Gain weight if doctors wasn't so stupid the world would be a better place.

She tried to say my problems were weight related. She tried to say my symptoms were from weight and sinus/allergy problems, which I do have sinus and allergy, but my weight problems are from my other health problems, but when you try to tell a doctor that, it's no you got to lose weight and eat right. I wish the doctor's could live in the patients shoes for one day. They couldn't handle my problems. This review is for Doctor Michelle-Anne Iverson.

Dr. William Powell is the best doctor we have here in Hartsville if you ask me. He is such a good doctor as well as a good person. He is thorough, caring and doesn't rush. He gets to know the person as well as focus on the symptoms.
