Hearing is one of the five senses. It is a complicated process of picking up a sound and attaching meaning to it. The ability to hear is critical to understanding the world around us. Sound is air pressure waves characterized by the size of the wave, amplitude, and the how often wave peaks repeat, frequency.
An ABR (Auditory Brainstem Response test) is not a hearing test, but rather a test of the auditory function above the level of the ear (from the auditory nerve through the brain stem to higher brain regions). When sound enters the ear and stimulates the cochlea in the inner ear, the cochlea produces an electrical response to the sound along the nerve pathways.
Tinnitus (pronounced ti-NIGHT-us or TIN-i-tus) refers to hearing sounds in one or both ears, or in the head that are not coming from an outside sound source. Virtually everyone at one time or another experiences tinnitus. The American Tinnitus Association (ATA) www.ata.org is probably the best information resource on this topic.
Many words are used to describe dizziness. These include disorientation, imbalance, light-headedness and swaying, but true vertigo is characterized by a spinning sensation. Vertigo can be accompanied by nausea, vomiting and sweating. For some sufferers, dizziness can last only a few short seconds while others may experience dizziness for much longer periods.

They won't get you in on time. Not even close to on time. It's clear that the money comes first at this practice. The bill is the first thing they will hit you with when you come in. Any procedure they can bill you for they will do. But the facility is nice.

My name is Ashley Baldwin. My first experience with Dr Marsh was excellent. he did a CT and diagnosed me with deviated septum and then After my appointment when surgery for deviated septum was scheduled I developed an infection. I called the office three times (he told me to call if I had any issues) and left messages all three times. No call back.

I ended up calling my PCP for antibiotics which were prescribed without question. A month later my infection returned and I gave ACENTA another chance- phone call made without return. I gave up and called my PCP again for antibiotics and steroids. I made another phone call to ACENTA about preventative treatments to get me thru until surgery. 5th phone call- 5th No return call.

I called back a 6th time and canceled my surgery and refused to leave a message and just told the front office receptionist to cancel everything. that afternoon I received TWO return calls one from Dr Marsh's nurse and office lady who was also the "fill in nurse" while his nurse was at a conference- both were blaming the other one and the 2nd one went as far as claiming she just "found" my messages in the wrong spot.

The organization of the office staff was unacceptable. After my 2nd opinion and exam from new ENT I found out I was charged and paid for a endoscopy procedure I DID NOT HAVE DONE. There were even notes in my records stating I was talked to about the procedure and was warned I might have nose bleeding and congestion after (never happened) and that I "tolerated the procedure well".

The procedure was charged to my insurance and I paid over $200 in deductible toward. After calling back 2Xs and offering to come down so Dr Marsh could show me "his light pen" he was charging insurance as a endoscopy procedure (they did not take me up on that offer) I was given a refund for the amount I paid toward the procedure I didn't receive. So even though Dr Marsh was GREAT he lied on my records and to my insurance. 100% do not recommend.

I live an hour away and on the way there recieved a text reminding me to be 30 min. Early because I was a new patient. Made it right on time for appointment but not allowed to keep said appointment because I was not 30 min. Early. They rescheduled me 30 more days out. First request for appointment was end of Jan. By primary care physician. Wasn't called until middle of Feb. Given a Mar.1 appt. And then was told those are our rules, sorry. Two stars for being in the right location!

Never been here, however I contacted them regarding sudden unilateral tinnitus and was told no openings until next month. I checked on their website and the scheduling there said they had openings tomorrow, she stated that the website was incorrect. I even repeated myself telling her I'm experiencing one ear sudden tinnitus and there are no imitate openings?, she wasn't even listening to me and repeated a statement about their scheduling being incorrect. Bad first impression, figured they were good from ratings.

This is nice and clean place and Dr Marsh is a great doctor and the nurses are awesome too. They listen to what is going on and explain what's going on and how they can fix it. Awesome place.

I felt very welcome as soon as I walked in the door. The staff at the front desk were kind. Dr Marsh took time to answer all of my questions. He diagnosed the problems with my hearing right away.

I've had three appointments with Dr. Marsh and each time I was disappointed. He's rude and has no bedside manner. Visits are always short and he never answers questions about your concerns. He acts like he rather be anywhere else and that he could not care less about you. I ended up scheduling my tonsillectomy with him and I wish I hadn't. I knew the procedure would be painful and I was fully aware it would be a tough recovery.

Around day 6, the pain had gotten so bad, my mother, who's a nurse, wanted me to go to the ER. We decided to call Dr. Marsh's office and explain the situation and what we have been doing to make my recovery as easy as possible. I never once mentioned pain medication. I asked what he or the nurse thought we could do to help and if we should be concerned. Instead, when they reached out to me, the first thing she mentioned is that Dr. Marsh does not prescribe pain medication for a post-op tonsillectomy.

I did not ONCE mention pain medication when we contacted them, and their first and only concern is about how they won't be prescribing anymore pain meds? Just ice your neck and drink water? Things I clearly was aware of. They had no concern for me and my recovery, only that they wouldn't give me anymore pain meds, that I never asked for. How insensitive of both Dr. Marsh and his nurse.

Instead of saying that, how about asking me about my pain and seeing how I'm doing and what my options are and how concerned we should or should not be. I have never been so upset but I should've known. I'd like to mention that I was given a 5 day supply of pain meds, of which I still have more than two days worth left over on day 8 of my recovery.

I refrain from taking pain meds until absolutely necessary and when the pain was intolerable. My mother, who again is a nurse, was astonished by the nurses response and by Dr. Marsh's bedside manner. His work during the surgery was alright but I would never recommend anyone to go to his clinic for anything. He's mean, and he could care less about you and your health. He's just there to get his money and be done with it. Worst experience ever.

The office staff are super nice and Dr. Marsh's nurse is also friendly. However, I don't appreciate the total disregard for my time. When I am on time for my appointment and sit an hour past my appointment time with still two people ahead of me. This is not the first time this has happened. So seems to be a common occurrence. Also, the audiologist in the office is one of the rudest people I have met. Definitely does not need to be working with patients. When I mentioned this to the ladies at the front desk they didn't seem to be surprised.

I gave this doctor two stars because his office staff and clinical staff were very very nice. Now he has no bedside manner whatsoever. He didn't really go in depth about anything He definitely didn't listen I mean he didn't really give me time to ask anything and when I did they were very short answers nothing in depth So after my son gets his allergy testing and when we go back to see him after that if we go then I don't think that we will be back so whenever things said and done we may go have a second opinion most definitely.
