Absolutely would never recommend this practice! The staff is incompetent to say the least! I made and appt for a colonoscopy which the prep for is horrible in itself. Upon arrival for me procedure I was told I was supposed to have done a questionnaire when I made the appt. They did the questionnaire and then was told I couldn't have the procedure today because of my answers. ( I have 2 stents in my heart) so after going through the grueling prep I was sent home!

It took me 5 calls being bounced back and forth just to get the prep package. My partner also had issues with this practice with the first dr he saw but after seeing dr frist we thought better. He also got a run around with the first dr's staff getting his scheduled. This is not an easy procedure to prep for and to be sent home because of staff failures is unacceptable.

I am currently experiencing a flare up of my diverticulitis. I am in extreme pain, running a fever, etc. I called Friday and was passed around to multiple people before speaking to someone at the local office I visit and was told I would receive a call back with an urgent visit appointment. Nobody called and I suffered all weekend. I called back again today, and after waiting on hold for 25 minutes to even speak to someone, I was told the first appointment available for me would be on July 7th in Cumming (I live in Gainesville).

I explained to the person on the phone I have an infection - I am sick, running a fever, and there is no way to be seen sooner? He said there was not. RUN from this group. If you actually get sick from your gastro issues and need help, good luck. I guess I'll be heading to the ER. Find another doctor that cares about the well-being of their patients.

Honestly would like to give less than 1 star. I am trying to get results from a camera test I had 8 days ago. I was told I would have them yesterday. His medical assistant called me at the end of the day yesterday to say it would not be for another.week till Dr Creel comes into the office next Wednesday. My issue is two things. Tell the patient accurate information.

Your dealing with lives. I am anxious to get the results. Yes, I was straightforward with his medical assistant and said it was ridiculous the wait. She literally told me twice that Pap tests and other tests take two plus weeks. What do I care. I told her she should have told me that when I took the test and asked about the results. She literally hung up the phone on me.

She does not need to be dealing with patients life's and she has no right to hang up on her customers! Dr creel, I hope you read these surveys and I do plan to discuss how I was treated by your medical assistant when I see you next. She needs to find a position where she is not dealing with people and their lives. She was rude!

My specific doctor is amazing! The office personnel that I had to deal with today was bad. I scheduled an appointment over a week ago and she had no record of the appointment and treated me as if I were a crook trying to get away with something. Perhaps she was having a bad day, but that is not my fault or my problem!

RUN AWAY! Every other review is right. Scheduling an appointment is a huge headache - you have to call, navigate a call tree, leave a voicemail with a nurse who will "get back to you within 72 hours, " wait 72 hours, repeat, and continue repeating until you finally get a call back. If you do manage to get an appointment, though, it's even worse.

I had a procedure on December 7, 2020. It's currently April 15, 2022, and I'm still trapped in the unending Sisyphean hell that is their billing department. I have received nearly a dozen tiny bills ever since, all of which are the first time I've heard of this random charge and all of which are the "final notice." Once I first heard about a $15 bill from collections!

Every time I think I'm free, another one shows up. Trying to figure out what you owe is nearly impossible, as it's not listed anywhere on their site. The email listed in their phone tree does not exist, and all emails are returned. The automated billing system asks for a reference number from your bill which is not included on the bills. Trying to talk to a real person is impossible, too: I've currently been "first in line" for an hour and a half.

I can leave a voicemail, but at this point, do I really trust them to listen to it, let alone return it? The only way I'd go back to this place is if I need to serve them papers for a suit to get them to leave me alone and stop screwing with my credit score.

I have been attempting to resolve a billing issue with this organization for months. We are starting to lose our patience. It is incredibly frustrating that nobody is helpful or compassionate in the billing department.

I wish I could give their billing office negative stars. Prepare to deal with incredibly complicated bills and no help in navigating them.

If I could give them a zero, I would. I scheduled an appointment with Eboni on December 21. I was given instructions on how to prep for the procedure and followed the closely. I spent money preparing for the procedure, took the day off, and my daughter took the day off to take me. I have the folder from the scheduler with the date, arrival time, and procedure time and Dr. Quinn's name assigned as the physician performing the procedure.

However when I called that morning to check on a prep item, no one could locate my appointment in the system. Even worse, no one at Atlanta Gastroenterology could reach Dr. Quinn's office. I have never, ever, had this kind of experience with a doctor's appointment. This was a waste of a days work and all that I had to do to prepare for an nonexistent appointment. DO NOT GO THERE!

Run don't walk. All of the negative reviews are honest. It's been almost a month of me calling to try and get the confusion with my colonoscopy prep kit squared away. When you're not getting hung up on you're getting lied to. My initial visit was via tele-health which went fine however every call after has been a nightmare. I cancelled my colonoscopy after not hearing back from a nurse after two weeks.

My experience here has been terrible thus far. The procedure was fine and medical staff were nice and adequate at the Lawrenceville location. The problem lies with their careless and indifferent billing department. Procedure was in Late August 2021. I paid my bill in 2 separate payments. One to the doctor and one payment to the anesthesia department.

After paying my final 700.00 balance in October, I received another invoice with an insurance adjustment of -446.00, to the balance I had paid. I called seeking a refund to get the balance back. As I clearly had been over-billed. First call was in early November 2021. Was told 4-6 weeks for a check to be sent. Called in late December, they had no notes of the dispute and reset the clock, another 4-6 weeks. Called last week, January 20th, third time mind you!

She said that she could not get a response from her billing department and to call back in 5 days, as she was resubmitting my request that day. Called today and was told that it was accepted and I would see it in. Approximately 4-6 weeks. Lesson learned folks. Never pay a medical bill in full before 90 days post procedure. They are quick to collect your money.

But in the event of an oversight, they will drag their feet to pay you back your difference. I will update this review, once I receive my money. Just to show you all how long it truly takes. If I don't receive my $, I'll give you all the result of my small claims court filing, which will be my next move.

I would not recommend this office. They are incompetent, and do not actually care about patients. Especially Dr. Fox, to be from MGH "man's greatest hospital" he sure is NOT IT! or his Medical Assistant Cynthia she just was lost and did nothing right all her short cuts just lead to me fixing her mess and leaving voicemails with no returned calls.

They took forever to form an appeal for me to get my medication and after 3 months of them not answering the phone, me having to go in person, have portal messages go unanswered, and be blamed for me being the reason I don't have my medicine. I just decided to go elsewhere. As a person with IBD it is so important to have your medication and have it on time, not once did I get an apology.

I eventually just worked on my own appeal, the doctor was suppose to do a peer to peer, the MA was suppose to fax my records and I ended up doing all of that. No way I could go back and have this man give me his medical opinion about my disease. When he could give a rats crumb about me as a person or what I've been through. I should have known I would have issues when they had automated service for everything, and voicemails go unanswered when they say they will return your call in 24 hours, and the office visit was 10 mins long with no exam.

Please save your money and time, and find an office that cares about its patients and not how many they can see, to then go on vacation every month with the overpriced appointments they've billed for.

1. They need to take same day and next day appointments off their website. 2. I called in October to make an appointment for my husband who had a serious problem swallowing, I told them it was serious and the made an appointment for DECEMBER 17. He was admitted to the hospital before Thanksgiving with aspiration pneumonia and not being able to eat or drink.

They did not do an endoscopy at that time and said everything was under control. He was re-admitted to the hospital 2 days later with the same issues. After he had been in the hospital a few days they finally did an endoscopy and found esophageal cancer. We could have started treatment in October of these people had done their job. I would give zero stars if I could. STAY AWAY from these people!

Let me say first. My doctor was amazing. Great great he is a 10 out of 10. The office staff is 0 out of 10. First they billed me for an office visit when it should have billed me for a colonoscopy office visit. The difference. Office visit is $100 with insurance and colonoscopy office is $0 because it is a routine screening and covered by insurance.

Both the insurance company and I called to tell them they got it wrong. The doc then prescribed me so stuff, however Cvs said the doc or medic assist needs to call insurance first to pre-authorize it. Easy enough right? Wrong! From Monday-friday I got passed around to phone trees, voice mails and incompetent office workers who passed the buck. No one took any time or initiative.

Customer service failure on every level, every day of th week. I wish they pulI all the phone records to see how poorly they work. I would never trust them with my health. The medical assistant called me Friday and told me the opposite of what the doctor said. Wait! Am I to believe you or the doc? It was a total cluster @&$@

Absolutely loved the service. Arrived 30 minutes before my appointment and was in a room15 minutes after arriving. The staff was extremely helpful and Dr. Okoro was extremely thorough.

Tried charging me $11,000 for an urgent colonoscopy for diarrhea, abdominal cramping, bleeding, and dehydration lasting 2+ week. The ER could not do the procedure; they told me to see my gastroenterologist immediately. I had seen Dr. Karim previously (age 25 in 2019) who failed to biopsy me and check for autoimmune disorders (which I have a long history of).

I cancelled with Dr. Katta (who I was referred to for immediate care) as soon as I knew the cost. Even with insurance it was $3000 out of pocket. The payment plan still required $1000 up front and over $100/mo for the next few years. For reference, I have United Healthcare Choice Plus and pay $300/mo through my employer. A colonoscopy is usually only $3000 TOTAL and after insurance, I would pay maybe $300 out of pocket. AGA is a SCAM! Unfortunately, I am left shopping around for a GI doctor with an unknown illness because I can't afford the procedure at AGA and I earn too much to qualify for assistance.

Let me start out by saying my Doctor was GREAT. But like most other reviews the billing is ridiculous. I was charged twice for the same apt. and no one will straighten this out. After 10 phone calls explaining that I paid twice for the same apt. with no results. I wrote to the Ga. Department of Law, Consumer Protection Division and they sent Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates a letter asking for an explanation and there was no response to this either.

They are a part of United Digestive and I wrote to the CEO asking for help but also got no response to that email either. It looks like they don't care about reviews either, they have almost nothing but bad reviews and its a shame because my Doctor is excellent.

No patient should ever be treated the way I was! Dr. Quinn was the only good experience! I had a colonoscopy on 8/9/21. At first, all went well. My caregiver was allowed to go in back with me prior to the procedure to help me undress but once she was asked to leave and I got in recovery, things changed. Despite asking for her to be allowed to come and assist (I had an accident) with cleaning myself, the nurse only got my clothes from her instead of allowing her to come to the back to assist me.

I told her that I get dizzy and needed assistance and all she gave me were wipes to clean myself. I didn't do very good and I asked for my caretaker to be allowed up. I was ignored. She checked my blood pressure 3x and told me to go sit in a wheelchair to await transport. Needless to say, I went home with feces on me in the back and in my pubic area which was not only embarrassing but was insensitive on the nurse's part.

I could've gotten an infection! Having a colonoscopy is already a very sensitive matter, especially for a large sized person, and to be treated like that was awful. The #1 rule of patients bill of rights is to be treated with respect and the nurse failed horribly in honoring this. No patient should EVER be released like that. I will NEVER refer anyone to ATL gastro because patient care should be excellent not just when family and caretakers are present but when we are alone with them. This made me feel abused and not cared for. I will NEVER refer anyone to them!

I had an MRI for a possible issue with my pancreas. After two weeks of waiting for my results, I can't get anyone from this practice to call me with my results. I have to beg for my information. The same thing happened to my at this practice when they tested my gallbladder which was eventually removed. I don't understand the total lack of communication or care.

After a procedure done at Atlanta Gastro (Athens Campus) on 12/8/21, we established on 2/15/21 that I was due a refund of $378. We established this on a recorded phone call with my insurance company and the AG billing office. What has occurred since that date is nothing short of criminal. I have yet to receive a check. Here are the steps I have gone through: In March I called and was told the check was on the way.

In April I called and was told that I was never due a refund -- they had no record of it on my account. I called back repeatedly to speak to different agents to get to the bottom of this issue. On May 12 they told me they would call back with more information. They never called back. On May 17 I called again and through ME asking just the right question, we found out there was another section to my account.

Same account number, just a different section -- that is where the refund was recorded. STILL. I had to call back two more times before I was told the date the refund was processed and the date I should expect the check by (AT THE LATEST), which was June 4. I still have not received a check. Also, on each of these calls I left a voicemail with the manager (Michelle), asking for a call back. I have not received a call back to date. This morning I filed fraud with the insurance commissioner.

Spent thousands of dollars here only to have no diagnosis and maybe a total of 10 minutes with a doctor. Went elsewhere afterwards and had a diagnosis by my 2nd appt. They also separate billing into several different accounts (AG, AG-2, AG-1) so paying is a nightmare and extremely misleading. I have never written a review for a medical facility but this was the worst experience I've ever had with any doctor/medical practice

You feel like your cattle in their office: how many people can they shuttle through in the least amount of time. It is super expensive: $500 for initial visit to schedule a colonoscopy. Did not like the whole process whatsoever. Too many other practices to deal with Dr Singh and this group. Northside locale.

Most expensive and most worthless doctor's appointment I've ever had. $500 for a "consultation" in which the dr asked for the same medical history I just put on your forms, then tell me I need $5,000 worth of procedures in order to guess at a diagnosis. Spent longer filling out paperwork than I did talking to a doctor. What a scam.

Hello! I have a three year update from the horrible two part visit I wrote about Dr. Patel. I eventually found a doctor who believed I was in pain and ran tests. Remember that flare-up, knife like pain, bloat, and nausea from way back then? How I sat doubled over in the office for like an hour to discuss this flareup with Dr. Patel only for him to say I'm making up my pain and symptoms?

That pain which made me go to the ER? Pain he dismissed as cramps, probably pregnancy? I still don't have any kids, but turns out it I've had a broken gallbladder. Just imagine, I could have been over this years ago! I really wish I were making this up! Just. Wow.
