The staff is incredibly friendly. I just hate trying to get a hold of them. If you need to contact someone in the billing department, you're good to go, always someone available, always ready and willing to take your payments. If you need anything, they seem to work with you and then it kinda fizzles out. I have been asking for assistance with my employers fmla which they said they would take care of and there have been issues with trying to work with them with that, and when I wasn't feeling well it was a hassle to speak to someone who could assist. When I do get a hold of the doctors and nurses, they are all incredibly patient, attentive and really feels like they care. The followup is not my favorite.

I had my surgery just a few days back from Dr. Pop, and the experience has been amazing. I felt like the his team (nurses, anesthesiologist, nutritionist, etc.) We're dedicated to each individual and did whatever they could during my stay to assure that I was comfortable and felt okay. Dr. Pop and a nurse even called to check up on me my second day at home, as I had some vomiting the day prior. He assured that I was a in a good place and it was so kind. I would totally recommend going here.

First I would like to start by saying Dr. Taylor and his staff are amazing! I had a gastric sleeve on 7/27, my hospital stay was very comfortable, I had a little pain during my hospital stay and the pain was managed very well. The nursing staff made me very comfortable and anticipated all of my needs without hesitation. I have had no complications at all. I have be doing everything that's recommended by the dietian. I'm so glad I chose to go to Barix Clinic with Dr. Taylor and his PA Beth!

My husband had his surgery 3 years ago and he has had such a wonderful experience. The facility isn't NEW but his doctor was amazing. He lost 160 lbs and kept it off!

I had my surgery 9 years ago. I went in weighing 295lbs. I have lost a total of 163lbs. Dr. Jon Schram saved my life. I live in Ontario and only had a small window of time to have my surgery covered by OHIP. Dr. Schram went above and beyond to fit me in. I am very happy my surgery was done there. I don't like how they go about things in Ontario. Anyway, I am doing great and highly recommend The Barix Clinic. Two thumbs up!

The hospital is old and out dated. My call button didn't work, when I would press the call button no one came to see if I was ok. My phone didn't work. I was put in a bed that was for an 800 lbs body frame. It hurt my back terribly. I only saw the doctor for 30 seconds after surgery literally. I only ever met him prior to surgery on the day of my surgery. And that was no more than two minutes. My surgery was successful. The nurse who called to follow up from my discharge wasn't interested in what I had to tell her.

I had surgery in August 2019. My experience has been amazing. Dr. Taylor and his staff have been professional and skillful at all points. I can not thank Dr. Taylor enough for giving me back my health. I will be eternally grateful! If you are considering weight loss surgery, you definitely should turn to Dr. Taylor for his expertise.

Let me start out by saying the staff is so nice. The front desk staff is a little different but I will get to that. I felt this place really pushed things to get started they were quick to get you in for your consultation, nutrition class, psychological testing, and surgery. You did receive a phone call after you went home to check in and an email from a nutritionist who I was able to email often when I had questions. HOWEVER when it comes to your 2 week and 6 week check up you are at the bottom of everything!

The wait went from minutes to hours to see the doctor and he was ALWAYS in a surgery that ALWAYS went long. (So why are they not giving the doctors bigger time slots to get things done or why the staff can't call you to tell you they are behind) It made me feel as if they were no longer there for you and I think the first 2 weeks you feel so fragile with am I doing this right?

Back to the front desk staff they tend to be bitchy but then again multiple patients asking how much longer all day would be annoying. I hate that over the phone and at the front desk the staff would even ask "do you think you need this 2 week appointment?" Well YES! YES I do!

After calling to get information and a insurance check, I drove all the way up to the center to learn more about it. Never said that this was a paying visit just to get information? Plus my time, gas, three hour trip and these bone heads want to charge me cause they didn't propepry check out my insurance.? They even had the policy number and everything.

Yet now they have the audacity to collect for and send to collections my visit that was supposed to be just some videos and information to see if you can get this done. Don't do it, they take advantage of people and explanations are so vague that it is never laid out or told to you that this is going to be billed to your insurance. I thought it was to be just a nice visit to see more and ask face to face questions to see if I qualify. The insurance should have been checked ahead of any fact seeking visit. Which they said was good to go until I show up? Doesn't even deserve one star rating.
