Bellevue Medical Imaging - Brian C Jacobs Bellevue Medical Imaging has brought a new level of service to Bellevue and the Puget Sound. Rather than focusing on the number of patients we see per day, we ensure that every patient gets the best possible care available with as much comfort as possible. We make certain that your exam is performed correctly and as comfortable as possible. By combining the latest in technology with our talented and compassionate staff, we offer you the best care and service available. Our radiologist takes the time to talk with patients about the results after the exam which alleviates anxiety about the results of the test.
Services
Diagnostic imaging exams are used by radiologists to examine a patient's internal organs and structures to determine the existence of a medical condition. These procedures utilize a variety of imaging technologies that can use x-rays, magnetic fields, and ultrasound together with computers to produce images from which a diagnosis can be made.
We accept Motor Vehicle Accident/ PIP Claims and work with certain lawyers for 3rd party contracts. Please call our office with any questions or concerns. We preauthorize and patients will receive estimated out of pocket costs for all MRIs and CT Scans.
Bellevue Medical Imaging may be your long-term career opportunity in the medical industry. We offer services in all radiology modalities. If you are a technologist, or are even looking to get into the field as a receptionist, we may be the right fit. We are currently hiring for a full-time Marketing Manager who will assist in business development and maintaining existing relationships with local physicians.

Would have given 0 stars if it was possible. 3 appointments for my family across the last 18 months, and always a bad experience. Radiologist (and owner) has poor bedside manner and zero compassion for patients. Office staff not competent and unchanged over that time period. Attempted to provide feedback to Office Manager and she made excuses and defended the owner, so clearly it is a top-down problem. Ultrasound technicians were friendly and competent, but unfortunately the culture does not reflect their efforts. Will not return.

The staff completing my recent imaging were really kind, considerate and professional. I really appreciate the quickness of getting the results. Great experience.

I have been to Bellevue Medical Imaging twice and both times I was really pleased. The office staff called the day before to remind me of all I needed to do to prepare for the appointment, they even had pre-checked my insurance to let me know what amount to expect to pay out of pocket before coming into the office. The ultrasound technicians were very polite and knowledgeable, they had good bedside manner.

The doctor was once called in for further examination on one of my visits and he was also very polite and helpful. The records are available within just a couple of days. I think this office is really professional and it's where I will continue to go for my imaging needs.

Before my procedure, I had confirmed at least 10 times saying that the mammogram and ultrasound is billed as preventive. Now they have sent a bill for Ultrasound saying that only Mammogram is preventive.

Looks like the same problem everyone else is having with this one singular person who gives the excuse that "the insurance needs this extra personal non pertinent to radiology info" to justify covering cost. This same person seemingly is harrassing referring physicians staff for info that is HIPPA protected and cant give out. So then you get a call back from this same staff person at BMI who then starts conversation that insurance wont cover because they need more info than the law allows for and or missing info like a phone number.

Bottom line is this. A doctor request imagine test to be done for thier own reasons for the health and well being of thier patients. BMI has no right or business questioning that ever. Its obvious BMI doesnt want the business especially the largest tech firms employees insurance. Funny thing I have been going to BMI for years. Had many scans done.

Nothing has changed except for this one office staff person at BMI. To the Director at BMI. Its pretty obvious you are hands of and dont care about your business and providing quality care. Maybe too much time on the golf course?

If I could give this place negative stars I would! It started with Peggy the person who does the referrals. She claimed (the afternoon before my scan) I needed to contact my insurance to have the facility corrected for the claim or I wouldn't be able to get my scan the next day. I had to cancel my last client at work which cost me money because I work on commission, to go in and try and take care of this myself. Turns out if she would have actually called my insurance I didn't need to do this at all!

Why didn't she call me sooner? Apparently someone didn't enter my phone number correctly. But then she miraculously found it the afternoon before. Mind you I have stage iv cancer! I have to have scans every 3 months! The amount of stress this situation alone caused me is enough to make me never go there again. And again, it cost me money! Then I go in to get the scan and the ct tech wouldn't stop talking to me, prolonging my scan.

He had me laying there for a very long time with no face mask on in the middle of a pandemic. I finally had to ask for it back. He brought my mask back after bragging he wears the same gloves all day and just washes his hands. The gloves were torn! The scan took way too long! I've had many ct scans and they are very fast. This was unacceptable. Then they send the results in to my oncologist without comparing my previous scans.

I'm still waiting for the final results 4 days after! More stress! Do you have any idea what it's like to have incurable cancer and have to wait this long to find out if anything has changed? I will NEVER come to this idiotic place again!

I have been going here for years and I know Dr. Jacobs has a great reputation and always have had a great experience so far with him. However, the same cannot be said about their customer care. I had my regular yearly mammogram scheduled with them just before the end of the year and I scheduled it two months in advance. More than one month after I scheduled it and one month before my appointment date, they call me to let me know that they made a mistake with the scheduling and the technician who was supposed to do my exam was not going to be there on that day.

I am a high risk patient, with history of breast cancer in my family and someone would expect that they would try to accommodate you on another day before the end of the year given that the mistake was on their side, but they actually just let me know that the next available appointment is for next year (putting me again on the regular schedule as if I was making the appointment on that day).

I find this to be very disappointing, it is a complete lack of accountability on their end to not try to make an effort to remedy their mistake and considering that it took them a month to realize that they scheduled me on a day when they could not do my exam. All this time I could have find another appointment somewhere else.

Great facility, easy to work with regarding scheduling, imaging, etc. BUT when it came time for billing, it was a nightmare. I work for an attorney's office, and their billing office refused to discuss anything with us at all over the phone. They have access to every piece of information you could ever need, but refuse to give it out unless you're the patient themselves.

I even tried to conference call in the client, and BMI billing flat out hung up on me! I sent a medical authorization, they confirmed that had it on file, but they want you to use a 3rd party records retrieval company to get any information you need. Will NEVER be letting our clients go here again.

Every one of the staff I dealt with today were helpful. I had a bit of a time crunch with my 3 different appointments, and they were all so accommodating to help me go from one to the other. They were professional and thorough. I am happy to recommend them!

Don't go here if you're fat. I was given a pair of scrubs to change into. They had no stretch and were so tight, the pants cut off my circulation and kept rolling down. I asked for a larger size and the tech said coldly, "that's the largest size." I am a size 20/2x so not THAT big. Then once the X-rays were over, the tech forgot to give me back my key to the clothing locker, so I stood in the hallway yelling "ma'am?" in these too-tight scrubs until someone came to help. Just feel really crappy after being here. Learn to be size inclusive. It's 2021.

I had been putting off my first mammogram because of the horror stories people kept telling me about how painful and horrible the experience was. I only wish I hadn't listened! My tech, Kathy, at BMI was lovely and made me feel comfortable right away in the dressing room, providing me with a warmed gown/cape. The machines they use for breast imagining are amazing.

I was completely comfortable the entire time. No smashing, squeezing or discomfort. Seriously! If you have been putting off this important appointment, call Bellevue Medical Imaging and get it on your calendar!

I had to do a CT that was urgent and they were able to fit me in on the same day. I've also had a X-ray here too. This happened in the early days of the pandemic and they already screening and taking precautions before most other clinics. Cost was much less than in a hospital too. All of the staff here are wonderful and helpful. My doctor commented on how much detail was in the reports she received from Dr. Jacobs, very impressed. I will be using them for all of my future imaging needs.

The care and service I received was okay, my main gripe with BMI has to do with their billing. I signed up for a payment plan, looks like it was through a 3rd party, but I ended up paying off my balance, but forgot to cancel the auto payments. Consequently, a monthly debit occurred. After I caught it I called BMI and asked them for a refund of the over payment.

I had to call multiple times, was told it would be taken care of-it was not. I wrote a letter, no response. Now granted it was only for ~$23, but if the situation was reverse a medical provider, or anyone, would be chasing me down. I have never received the credit! So it's just really disappointing. I'm writing it off, but want to warn others to beware of using their 3rd party payment service and BMI's billing department. It's not really worth escalating any further so I am trying to just let it go, but it still bothers me hence I turn to the power of social media.

A few month ago my mom (Ruslana)had an ultrasound at Bellevue Medical Imagining. She needed to get an ultrasound as soon as possible and they were able to find time for her the next day. I am grateful to all the staff for making my mom's appointment comfortable and smooth. I would like to express my special gratitude to Marina who helped my mom with the translation during the ultrasound. Check in was quick and easy thanks to Marina. She is professional and does her job well.

I came in for a procedure and I was very nervous going in. I have to give props to the staff and technicians. They were so kind and welcoming. They walked me through what medication I would be taking, how long the actual procedure would be, etc. Dr. Jacobs was very patient and understanding. I hope to never do the procedure again, but I'm thankful to have received the best care and support.

I was injured on my back and had a hard time moving from sitting or lying down position, my symptoms were enough cause for concern and the doctor ordered an MRI with bellevue Medical Image. A couple of things makes me think BMI is the worst place I've ever been to: 1. A request by fax was sent to them on Sat from my dr's office, when I called on Monday, they claimed that they didn't see any fax.

Eventually after a couple of retries my dr office figured out for BMI that their fax line is busy and fax machine seems broken. Finally they got the request by email. And scheduled MRI for Friday morning saying it could take Insurance 2-3 days to give preauthorization and they said I should get a call on Thur from them to confirm 2. Based on my experience on Monday, I felt I should call to check to make sure things are on the right track.

So I called on Wed. Someone answered the call and told me pre-authorization didn't come, but don't need to leave worry, It should be all set on Thur. 3. I called my insurance company early Thur's morning, they said they only received the preauthorization request on Wednesday from BMI. so it won't be ready on Thur as it take 2-3 days to process it. and to expedite it, they need to receive a request with an urgent Mark, then It could be done within 4 hours.

So I called the dr office, they said they have faxed the urgent mark request to BMI and called to let them know the request is faxed to them. I then called and left a voicemail asking them to call me back just to make sure everything is set correctly. No one called me. 4. So I called back at 3:00 pm on Thur, still no preauthorization. i become very worried, as it meant very likely the MRI will be delayed and the treatment will be as well.

So I spent two hours calling the insurance company, BMI and my dr office. could not get any progress at all. I requested to talk to the manager, the answer was that the managers were busy and can't talk to me. And the last call at close to 5 they told me they have done what they can, I should stop calling them. I was super frustrated at that point so I know wasn't nice either.

And then one of the patient relationship managers called me in 2 mins with a very angry tone saying that they would not serve me at all because I didn't speak nice to the staff. My question to the manager: 1. Why the request was not sent to the insurance company on Monday since they know it'll take a couple of days to process. Instead, the Insurance company only received paperwork on Wed. 2.

Early Thur morning when I called them to follow up and asked a call back to make sure things would be on track, why no one called back at all. 3. when I asked to speak to the upper manager or the owner, I was told the director won't handle this at all. I am puzzled of why. 4. When I vent out my frustration, I was told very angrily that they can't see me at all. so their staff can be rude and if a patient vents out some frustration, it's not allowed? 5. do they care about the situation about the patient and the urgency to get he MRI and the treatment done?

The patient relationship manager later called me back, apologized for all the inconvenience and miscommunication. I told her things should not be this hard if someone can explain what she explained or if someone transferred me to her earlier. And I told her I'll write a review anyway as it's a very bad experience, then she became very cold.

This is the most unprofessional experience I ever had. things are extremely slow and inefficient in this place, staff are not professional and they are actually pretty cold and rude, I just feel that they could care less about the patient's health condition and concern.

I had a great experience with Bellevue Medical Imaging. The check in experience with Kaitlyn was fast and she communicate all she needed and answered all my questions. I was actually called in early, and my tech Sarah was lovely. Sarah ran down the list of what I could expect the experience to be, answered all my questions and all with an upbeat attitude. She also communicated with me throughout the test which I appreciated. I felt very taken care of.

I will recommend this place to all I know and so I am glad you are reading this review. Alise was an amazing tech who did my ultrasound! Wow. She was kind, compassionate, caring, sweet and had such a great and peaceful way about her! They warm the ultrasound "goop" too. : When you are going for a test that could potentially show a scary issue in your body you need people like her around you at a medical facility!

She needs a raise! Jess at check-in was great too. She is Competent, organized and kind with a great inviting smile. Dr. Quinn was also comforting and super knowledgeable and competent. Tell your doctor to send you here or even better request it. You won't be sorry!

Excellent mammography tech (Cathy) you can believe me when I say "almost painless mammography!" Ultrasound tech Aliza did a very great job. Quick results while you wait and a compassionate doctor that is incredibly knowledgeable. Update: they have invested in a new plate for the mammography machine that makes the procedure painless if you can believe that!

They truly care about their patients comfort and Dr. Jacobs is awesome at what he does. Private changing stalls with warm ponchos to wear! Great calming sea and water images for a calming effect!

I went in today to be checked for a hernia. I had a physical check at an urgent care and no signs were found, but the duration of my symptoms were enough cause for concern that we wanted to be sure. I was positive it was just a muscle strain. The staff and medical assistants at Bellevue Medical Imaging were very friendly and professional. Dr. Jacobs came in to do the official check for the hernia. Practically under his breath at one point he casually mentions "that's an indirect inguinal hernia." Then says nothing else about it.

On his way out of the room he says something in passing to the medical assistant matter-of-factly about the hernia, so I speak up, "So there IS a hernia?" He replied in a very "well duh" fashion, "Yes! An indirect inguinal hernia." Then he walked out of the room. The assistant instructed me to get dressed and she walked me to the lobby and bid me have a nice day, no further details discussed.

I had to get the diagnosis name from the receptionist and then look up facts about it and potential treatments on my own when I got back to work. Maybe I'm expecting too much from the doctor who just confirmed my fears about the pain I've had, but I'd have liked him to have discussed what he saw in a little detail, let me know the kinds of options someone usually has with this kind of issue, toss a couple tips for maintenance my way. Something. Is that asking too much?

I didn't come in just so you could make sure you still had your chops with spotting a hernia in an ultrasound. UPDATE: The aforementioned friendly staff contacted me after writing this review and tried to work through my compliants. I considered removing it after the discussion but I'm glad I didn't. I went to a surgeon for a consult for a hernia operation and I could tell the surgeon thought something was "off" as he read the report from this office.

He did a physical exam of me and said confidently that I do NOT have a hernia despite this office saying that I had one 2 cm in width. So to recap the full hernia-finding story: an urgent care checked me and found no signs. I went to this imaging office and one was found very matter-of-factly. I went to a surgeon for a consult and he checked me and was sure I don't have a hernia. I'm glad I don't need surgery but my confidence in this provider is fully gone. The staff is still very friendly.

I've chosen Bellevue Medical Imaging for every radiology test I've ever had. The technologists are always friendly and knowledgeable about the exams they are performing. They were happy to answer any questions that I had. Most importantly, I love Dr. Jacobs. His kindness and compassion towards patients shines through with every visit. I really appreciate his detailed reports, he has finally given me answers to an ongoing injury I've had for the last year and a half. I was even able to bring home a disc of my images the same day!

This is my first visit for an ultrasound. The booking and check in process was efficient. What I liked about the waiting room were the beautiful plants - all well maintained and loved! I couldn't help noticing the mini ficas bonsai! The rooms are on the lower level and you'll be walking by some amazing art. I've had many ultrasounds and clearly this technician was starting out.

Every movement by the instrument felt like it was pressing into a bruise. I haven't felt so much discomfort during this process. Dr. Jacobs came by to review and wrap up the visit. Results came back quickly and I would return to look at the art!

Last week was my first visit to BMI and my first mammogram. The waiting room was nice, and the appointment started promptly. As others mentioned, Cathy is fantastic! She made the mammogram as easy and comfortable as possible. Her communication was great, and I loved how she explained what she was doing as she knew it was my first appointment. Everything after that was less than desirable.

I waited 10+ minutes for the ultrasound, which was done by an intern and then a tech. I didn't know this when I booked the appointment. Cathy let me know when she walked me back to the waiting room. The ultrasound room was cold and neither the intern nor the tech really spoke to me. When they were done, I waited 20+ minutes to meet with Dr Jacobs. (Around this time, I was actually brought a blanket by Cathy as I told her I was freezing.) It was not worth the wait.

But perhaps my expectations are too high when I feel a doctor should turn on the lights in his office and shut the door before discussing your breast screening results. I left 1-hour after my appointment was scheduled to end. I will not be back. Cathy is the reason I gave this review 2-stars. Without her, it would've been less.
