History Dr. Leo Courtney founded Chesapeake Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Center in 1974 to diagnose and treat individuals with musculoskeletal disorders. In 1974, healthcare services were not as accessible as they are today. Many people in need of orthopaedic care had to drive to Baltimore City or Washington, D.C. to receive treatment.

Today was a very sad for for me as I sat in Dr Bear office. I've been coming to see him for the last few months to seek treatment in my ankle for an injury which resulted in torn ligaments. I cant help but to feel that today I got judged due to my race. When he walked in to the office he asked me how I was feeling, so I pointed to my ankle showing him where I had pain he then stepped back and started laughing out loud acting as he didn't believe a word I said, I couldn't believe this was happening to me I felt anger, humiliated and wanted to cry. He then told me he couldn't treat me anymore recommending I go see another doctor.

Very impressed with the treatment and care I received from this center. Chris, Morgan and Rebecca are very skilled and professional. They helped treat my frozen shoulder and my lower back. Emma is terrific, very hardworking. Thanks also to Rick. Will recommend this center for anyone.

One star is giving them entirely too much credit. Sign on wall states person being treated, that can NOT ambulate on their own, can have one person with them. My family member is in wheelchair & I was told I must leave them, even though they could not move by themselves. Rude & uncaring staff. Please go elsewhere for care! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

I could not be happier with the care I received here. Not only were they able to get me a same day appointment with a doctor but they were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Dr Klepper was amazing and obviously very knowledgeable. He explained everything in a very direct and thorough way and I really appreciated that. I am on the road to recovery thanks to these wonderful people!

FANTASTIC GROUP OF PROFESSIONALS I am not the easiest to please but this staff of health professionals from the Intake front desk to Dr. Klepper were so good, I felt like calling everyone I know to tell them about my wonderful experience I had! I litterly asked all the questions I wanted to without feeling I was. you know one of the talkative patients that's slows down everyone's day.

They treated me like I was the most important person there. Alana, Rachel, everyone there went out-of-the-way to make sure I was well taken care of. Thank you sincerely to Dr. Bryan Klepper and the wonderful medical staff (Alana, Rachel, and more) we encountered! Forgive me if I leave out any some names. I am beyond frustrated with the department that deals with disability papers, because Miss Melody failed to mail me the papers that i need to submit for my disability insurance, is been 1 month since my surgery. I was in office 5 days ago and let her know my return to work date that she was supposed to change for me, i was there, it was a 5 min job, and nobody in the office, she said i will email you later in that day the forms.

Never happened. And i also said to her is very important to me to receive them asap because my insurance needs them! 5 days later now and phone calls and messeges left have no word from them! This is getting me behind with my bills for this month that i could not work! I find this very upsetting! The filing of the forms was not free. Very unprofessional and bad patience service!

Dr. O'Donovan and his PA is wonderful! My problem is with the receptionist and the mask issue. One of the black receptionist sitting on Dr. O'Donovan side, kept on pressuring me and getting an attitude with me about my mask not over my nose. I kept telling her I have a disability because of a breathing problem and can't have something coving my whole face.

No matter how many time I told her, she didn't care. Even tried treating me to cancel my appointment to have my stitches removed. Even the CDC states if you have a disability, you do not have to wear a mask. It is absolutely ridiculous the way these people treat others.

I had a great first time experience with the Glen Burnie office today! From the first telephone call, I was treated with professionalism, courtesy, and empathy! Telephone Staff- The person that scheduled my appointment was VERY helpful and Knowledgeable! She went above and beyond to assist me with all the questions I had based on insurance coverage and appointment availibility.

The front line staff- When i arrived at the office on crutches, the staff was very helpful and thoughtful. They offered me a wheelchair right away, wheeled me to each station without any bumps! The patients were all distanced properly and wearing masks. The doctor- The doctor that I saw was VERY knowledgeable and answered all of my questions! The therapist- The therapist that I saw after my doctor, Charolette was GREAT!

She was very helpful and answered every question that I asked. She was very helpful and handled my injury with care! I am not sure why there are so many bad reviews but, I had an amazing experience!

If I could give NEGATIVE stars I would. HORRIBLE and RUDE does not begin to describe the staff. If accompanying anyone - child, parent, siblings - you will be told to leave and wait in your vehicle. The staff will NOT allow you to assist with paperwork. I asked a question and received a snide, sarcastic remark. Barely hearing what they said, I asked the person to repeat what they said and was ignored. I asked again.silence. Just plain down right ignorant and rude.

I visited the doctor twice, once before rehab and second when he decided they were unable to correct the damage in rehab. Six months of twice a week. I checked in at the counter and each time placed in a wait status. I have outstanding insurance and paid a small co- pay in the beginning. Not one time did I receive a bill or was I asked to pay any additional fees.

Today - five months later I receive a notice from a collection company about an 800 balance. Not only am I going to dispute it, I'm notifying my insurance company of their intent to over charge clients of Carefirst. So why would I not be told at the visit the copay to pay all along for a service by the way was effective! I rated this poorly because not only did I not receive the proper rehab treatment I was overcharged! This is why we need an agreement limiting what doctors can charge without notice! Unfair practices!
