Bad patient care. Hostile work environment and lack of ambition to change/solve problems from the powers at be.

The worst medical care I've had in Oregon. To start with, along with the usual insurance forms, medical history, etc., I was expected to sign a form that said that I egreed to follow all doctor's advice- without even knowing what that advice would be. It's ridiculous because 1) sensible people don't agree to blanket statements about things they can't know beforehand, and 2) it isn't legally binding, so what purpose does it serve?

When I saw the 1st nurse practitioner about widespread pain, she quickly diagnosed me with fibromyalgia without so much as an exam. I later read about the disease, and I obviously don't have it. Seeking an accurate diagnosis for the pain, I went back and saw a different nurse practitioner, Dirk Broekert, who treated me as if I were a nuisance and an interruption.

He was bad tempered and condescending in the extreme, and would not answer questions or examine me because he was paid by the appointment, so I would have to make a separate appointment for each muscle or joint that hurt. The next time, I made 2 back-to-back appointments to ensure I would get an exam and my questions answered, but he spent most of that appointment belittling me, disparaged my exercise routine, cutting me off mid-sentence, and putting words in my mouth.

When I told him that I believed all my pain was related, he essentially called me a hypochondriac. He was rude, obtuse, dismissive, and condescending about everything from the 60 pounds I gained in a year, to my debilitating headaches, chronic cough, fatigue, widespread pain, psychiatric disorder, and attempts to lose the weight I'd so-quickly put on.

When I asked him for medical advice to lose the weight, he told me that all I needed to do was "eat less until you lose a pound a day, " and he had the audacity to hush me while he recited this nugget of his great wisdom, stating, "you had your turn to talk, and now it's mine." When I told him that I was unable to jog outside due to PTSD that caused panic attacks, he said (and I'm not kidding you), "Do it anyway." Apparently he doesn't know or care what PTSD is, or what it's effects are.

He never did offer an explanation for the headaches or sudden weight gain, and of my widespread body pain, he only said my feet hurt because my arches are so high, and that I need special shoes, but my arches have always been high, so that explanation falls pretty short. I am now a patient of Lane Health Clinics where they treat me infinitely better.

The 1st doctor I saw quickly found that I'd injured my iliotibial bands, feet, back, wrists, and shoulder, probably from riding my stationary bike. And although she didn't know the cause of my weight gain or headaches, she got me on a medication and into physical therapy. I was also given an electrocardiogram, which was abnormal, and I've been referred for an echocardiagram and chest Xray because unexplained chronic cough + fatigue + Shortness of breath could indicate heart trouble.

River Road Medical Group and Dirk Broekert didn't know or care enough to do any of that. Since then, they have found that I have 2 slipped cervical vertebrae, and I've suffered a lot of damage to my spine constantly compensating for it with all the other muscles of my body. That is the source much or even all of my pain, and it will be a long road back since it's gone untreated for years, thanks to the abysmal "care" of Dirk Broekert and River Road Medical Group. So, unless you are extremely confident and you advocate for yourself exceptionally well, do not use this clinic.

Even if you do advocate for yourself well, I still wouldn't recommend them because they just don't seem to be very good, and Dirk Broekert absolutely can't see past his own prejudices. IMO, he shouldn't be allowed to practice. He's a danger to his patients.

This office is belittling and unhelpful, on multiple occasions I have had to call several times to get medications sent to the pharmacy and the high turnover rate of staff is concerning. I have also been in person and have consistently seen reception not wearing masks while around other staff and clients.

I have been attending this office for about 4 years. The first doctor I saw, along with my oldest son, was alright. He left after about a year and then I saw Dr Sagen Olson, who was wonderful. She took time to understand you and why you were there. Last year I had to call after surgery hours and she replied back within a few minutes and advised me to go to the ER, which turned out to be a life changing event for me. Unfortunately, she left the practice earlier this year to pursue a career opportunity in the medical field.

I won't name the doctor who I have seen since then at RiverRoad, but I won't be going back. On my last visit to have my meds reviewed, it took them three times to call in my meds to the pharmacy.

I have been a patient at this facility four years now. Currently looking for a new place. I now agree with all of the negative reviews. I was seeing a physician's assistant. She was wonderful so I put up with the lackluster care from the other nurses and the staff. I had problems getting call backs getting prescriptions filled and being notified about anything in a timely manner.

When I would address these problems I was told that for whatever reason it was my fault. She left during Covid and every since then it has been downhill. Dr kablinska became my new doctor and he is sexist and outdated in his care. I say sexist because my husband went to him and was given immediate care with mri and meds. He refused all but one thing that my rheumatologist requested stating that he didn't feel it was necessary. She's a specialist at OHSU.

He has delayed my treatment. I agree with all of the negative reviews do not go here if you need ongoing consistent care. I no longer feel comfortable addressing issues with them and have been avoiding going except to refill medication.

There has been quite a lot of turnover in this clinic since I was first seen there years ago, some of it due to COVID, some not. I've seen quite a few PAs and NPs there over the years and, for the most part, they have been excellent. They are efficient, kind, supportive and smart. My new provider, Dr. Kobliska, is a welcome breath of fresh air.

I hope this clinic can stabilize and keep its employees around for a while; if I had a complaint it would be having to tell my story over and over to new people. But, I recommend this clinic for anyone who likes the simplicity of a small, calm organized and productive medical visit.

Sagan has left as well as everyone else, including new replacements and front office staff. Sagan will always get my 5 stars, but now one star is too high. There seems to be only one new new np to care for everyone. I'm looking for new office.

I did a lot of research for a dr and landed and amazing woman at this center. Unfortunately after about 2 months said dr had moved to a new city. After which I was assigned a new female dr who frankly was very rude, and felt like she belittled the information I had and wouldn't really help me with much. About 2 months later find out that dr is also no longer working there.

I am in the middle of a diagnosis and honestly I know the nurses are trying to do what they can but frankly i am disappointed with how they handled everything and now i am back at square 1 trying to find a dr who will help me. I wish I wouldn't have wasted so much time and money here.

Wish I could give below a 1 star. Although all over the internet it says the facility is accepting new patients, after hearing what insurance I have Anna completely gave up in assisting me and promptly "was no longer accepting new clients". And I asked "because of my insurance? What does that have to do with it?" And she said "yes your insurance is an issue" okay Anna, Sorry that I don't have some snazzy insurance but that doesn't mean I don't deserve care. Absolutely disgusted as we are in a time where we need medical facilities to not care so much about the money and more about the patients.

This has been my husbands doctor for over a year we aren't from here but my brother said he went there so we gave it a try. It is very outdated they don't listen to their patients concerns at all. They state they schedule you to go to a specialist you wait a month and find out they never did. I also have a friend that stop going there because without even doing test they diagnosed her with Restless Leg Syndrome. I won't make the doctors but I would definitely do my research.

I've received care at River Road Medical for some time, and have found every provider I have been seen by to be thorough, knowledgeable, compassionate and caring. At times I've been seen by physician's assistants, and while setting up the appointment, I was always asked If I was comfortable seeing a PA prior to the appointment being finalized. When I call with questions, I always receive a prompt call-back and answer to my question.

River Road Medical is also prompt and efficient with making referrals to specialists when I have had the need for one. I have been fortunate to be afforded the level of health care I have received through River Road Medical.

This is the most personable, friendly medical office in town. Just because a doctor won't refill your controlled substance medication or you didn't like the way a receptionist's voice sounds is no reason to get upset. Furthermore, seeing a PA is a good thing. In my experience, most are approachable, take feedback well an are more than qualified.

I have been a patient at River road medical group for 29 years and have had excellent care. The front desk has alwsys been very nice and quick at getting me checked in and scheduling follow-up appts. Dr Buchanan has been my PCP for 29 years and has always been understanding and listens to me regarding my health issues and she listens to my husbands concerns about my health.

During the time that I've been with RRMG my all around medical treatment has been excellent and as to Dr Buchanan she has been very compassionate to my health issues and needs. Im not looking forward to the day Dr Buchanan retires, and I have to find another Dr. Thank you Dr. Buchanan for taking such great care of me for the past 29 years. To all the staff and Drs at RRMG thank you for being there and taking great care of me and my family.

6-2-17 -- I called River Road Medical group because I only have regular Medicare no other supplemental insurance. I call many medicals groups and no one would take me as a new patient because of government insurance. I only needed blood pressure prescription but they took me as a new patient and did a full long interview with Rebecca Beck who is Physician assistant.

She did not hurry me, was knowledgeable and kind. If you have only straight Medicare or OHP and having an issue finding a Dr. give them I try. I have not met any of the doctors yet so the jury is still out on the whole practice. So far so good.

I have mixed feelings about this office. You do not get to see an actual "doctor" but instead just a physicians assistant. I personally see Audrey Adams and my experience has been extremely frustrating. To explain my frustration fully, I'd have to go into my lengthy medical history, so I will try to summarize as best I can. After my experiences with the office over the last 6 months, it's hard not to go into a ranting tirade honestly.

First of all, I have OHP for medical insurance. They assigned me to this particular office. I have been dealing with spinal issues for 10 years. I have never had a doctor or PA do so little.in fact, as little as humanly possible to get by.in all those 10 years. Her MO seems to be to get me back out of her exam room as quickly as possible. She doesn't fully listen to me, to the point she has forgotten to order part of my imaging and then was surprised when I asked why it was missing.

She doesn't want to make any decisions about anything.instead saying it's my physical therapist's decision. Physical therapy says it's not their decision at all and it's all up to my doctor. And so it goes. She forgets to write or call in prescriptions after she's said she would take care of it. When I ask her medical questions, she sits right in front of me googling the same Web MD websites I have looked at on my own! Seriously?!

It took her a FULL business week to fax my xray results to my physical therapist, and it only happened because I DROVE down to the office and made sure they wrote down a note. And today, when I called to see if she had indeed sent out the referrals for me like she said she would (shouldn't you be able to trust your doctor to do that without having to call and check up on them like a teenager on a date?) and the receptionist actually told me over the phone that they'd had a tragic loss in the office and it had slowed things down considerably.

I'm sorry for your loss people, truly I am. But this is a medical office. People come here to get help. Desperate people like me, who are doing everything they can on their own to get better. Leave your feelings at home and do your job, or hire someone else that can do it. There is no excuse for the crap care I've received there. If all you need is a prescription written or a wound looked at, by all means give this office a go. I think they'd be fine for that. As for chronic pain or any other serious issue that is going to take multiple appointments and referrals to resolve, find another office.

I recently had to meet a friend who asked me to accompany her for an appointment. The receptionist was irritated and rude. While waiting I asked to use a restroom, was told there are no public restrooms. What an unwelcoming experience.

I challenge anyone to visit Tish Davis, PA-C, she is the best! 5 stars isn't enough to exemplify her care. She has always made me feel warm and comfortable. I have never felt I needed a second opinion or questioned her medical advise or medical decisions. I can not thank her enough for all the visits and medical advises I have had with her. She is the example of some one who take her job seriously and doesn't look at you like a patient, but a friend, she seems to really care about your well being. I will see Tish Davis till a take my last breath and just wanted to share that. She is the best PA-C in the world and I challenge anyone to that statement.

Back up to 5 STARS! I decided to go back to River Road Medical in spite of ICKY Dirk the P.A. BEST DECISION I EVER MADE! I hated leaving in the first place. I decided to start seeing Dr. Patricia Buchanan & she's AWESOME! I am so HAPPY! I LOVED that place before Dirk wrecked it for me so I'm SUPER HAPPY it all worked out. The office staff & nurses here are the BEST, and Dr. Buchanan is FABULOUS!

These folks are wonderful. Excellent patient service and individual attention. See PA Dirk Debruchert. He and his nurse, Debbie, are the best.
