At first this place was somewhat good. My daughter was referred there from another office and they wanted to do another allergy test that consisted of her back and her arms. They told me that she would have to endure the allergy test on her back along with 16 shots in her arm. She is five and has tiny arms. Then they took forever getting her records from the other office and told me I had to come sign a paper before they could mix her allergy shot serum, then turn around and say that they can give her the shots if I went and got the serum from the other office. I do that and when we arrive they tell me they can't give it to her. This place has given me a runaround since the first appointment. Do Not Take Your Kids Here!

I began care in February 2022 my referral was for swallowing issues however, had ongoing ear and sinus infections. Saw "doctor" Mehta she was asked multiple times to look into my ears and she told me it was not apart of my referral and I needed it added. She eventually did but this painted the picture of "if I don't get my money I'm not going to help" real quick!

During my second appointment with her she expressed her concern about me not having a local Thyroid doctor which is comical because of her being so upset about my referral not having my ears listed but she was sticking her nose into another whole area ENDOCRINOLOGY! and magically a few weeks later my Endocrinologist who I have had since I was 13 years old!

The provider who actually advocated for me and was willing to help other providers nationwide to ensure I was taken care of dropped me out of the blue for helping a patient out of state. How ironic is that I then asked the front desk staff to never schedule me with her again because she was rude, appeared money hungry, and I was getting nowhere. I then saw the new P.A she was amazing!

I doubt she will last long because she probably will lose her mind with the incompetency at this office. She referred me to Dr. Mansfield who was also amazing while in office. Super friendly, appeared knowledgeable, and wanted to help. However, I was told my scans were abnormal and I would need a pulmonologist to sign a clearance for my surgery. I saw the first pulmonologist who was not concerned about my scans but would not sign a clearance because he did not think I needed surgery.

I had to pick up my scans for the next pulmonologist for a second opinion upon picking them up my scans read normal. I questioned Maria the surgical coordinator on why I was going to pulmonary for a clearance if my scans were clear and requested the date of the abnormal scan. I was not provided this information. After back and forth of deflecting my concerns I decided I have lost all faith in this practice.

I went to the er prior to this called the nurse line 3 days in a row for no call back. Constantly put on hold. Inconsistent, rude, money over patient, and just simply poor patient care is what I have gathered is the norm here. If Dr. Mansfield and the new PA picked one or two nurses and a clerical staff member to start a new office with they would move mountains. However, I would rather have my four year old who got his degree from Doc Mc Stuffins handle my care before I let this office waste any more of my time!

All I have accomplished is another sinus infection, crooked nose, swollen face, ears and eyes constantly hurting, headaches, no Endocrinologist, and lost brain cells from arguing with the surgical coordinator Dr. Mansfield they're making you look silly.

I suggest to anyone looking for an allergist to avoid this practice. The medical care is substandard. I was there for allergy testing and shots. Some nurses would say it was normal to sleep for a day after the shots, some would say that was a bad reaction and I needed to get a different dosage. Very inconsistent. I needed help after a bad reaction with a rash and asked not to be given large doses of steroids due to previous bad reactions and the doctor dismissed ny concerns and said that's normal and prescribed me a large dose of steroids anyway.

I am a cancer survivor who has had a large amount of steroids before and am fully capable of knowing what my body can and cannot tolerate. After that I switched over to Allergy Partners where I had much better and consistent care. Billing practices are also not transparent and am being charged for a year of serum even though I have not been a patient for over a year.

I verbally said I did not want to go back and was never told to fill out a form. They kept billing tricare until the referral ran out and now I'm responsible for the rest. Just avoid this place. Run.

The ER referred me to this clinic due to swelling in the neck/throat. I saw a PA. She had never met me before, she did not know me. She walks into the exam room, says something like 'good morning' and I reply in kind. Her next words to me, not exact coz I was in shock at her tone: "Oh my! your voice is horrible! (I do know she said HORRIBLE). How long have you smoked?'. Whut?

We exchange greeting pleasantries and the PA's next comment is my voice is HORRIBLE? Ouch. Way to get the patient nice and comfortable with your pleasant PA demeanor, right? This PA had no idea if that was my normal voice, if I used to be a singer (yes but not professionally), if pollen season was bothering me (it always does), if I had been sick (Yes I had), or strained my voice, long time smoker, my history of asthma and allergies and sinus infections, if my age means that many females my age lack estrogen which deepens and roughens our voices, etc.

Just an abrupt barked out question: How long have you smoked? At age 66, my voice change could be attributed to a multitude of reasons. I tried to explain, stuttering out words (I stutter when I get nervous and she scared me) that I am down to only 4-5 smokes a day and my family doc knows. She just looks at me and states "Just quit smoking. Stop trying to cut down'. Okay, as long as she thinks it is that easy?

I was terrified of this initial visit. The ER had found a tumor on my thyroid and my parotid (think salivary) glands had impacted/swollen so rapidly within minutes that the ambulance had to come because I could not physically swallow and could not get good air. I was SCARED as heck what the doctor would do or suggest needing done. I was depending on this doctor/PA, whoever saw me, to please help me fix all that was wrong.

All of my ER paperwork was in my file. I was trying to explain what was wrong. Instead "Quit smoking" was her 3rd sentence out of her mouth. By then I was shaking, near tears, and stuttering so badly, my heart was pounding and I just quit talking and just listened a lot. I take meds for my heart rhythm due to heart procedures done. I was a mess. I was defensive and scared at the same time.

She did give me an EXCELLENT hands-on, very thorough exam, I will give her that, she was GREAT at that. But her demeanor was so rude, abrupt and I was a new patient who didn't know if I had cancer or would need surgery due to tumor/impacted parotid glands. She explained my family doc would order a scan for the thyroid and her advice for the impacted parotid glands was 'buy a lot of lemons as many as you can tolerate and mix with water, no sugar, this stimulates the parotid to flush out inflammation'.

Most of the time she was focused on her tablet/laptop as she talked to me, seldom looking at me as she spoke. Okay, I have bad reflux so after a few days of 'as many lemons as you can' treatment, my reflux was so bad it mimicked the symptoms of a heart attack (pressure in chest and back, pain radiating to the jawline, shortness of breath) but I do know to treat urgent GERD symptoms right away and I knew it wasn't a heart attack.

But it was so painful. I felt dismissed as soon as the PA walked into the room. I came home so embarrassed about my HORRIBLE voice that I told my husband what the PA said about my voice, then I quit talking for over 2 weeks unless it was essential. I refused to talk to my family, neighbors, my husband, even the cat, because PA made me so self-conscious that I knew it had to be true, that my voice was HORRIBLE.

I lied and told everybody that I had a horrible allergy sore throat and had to rest my voice. I was too ashamed to tell them the PA said my voice was awful. That is MY experience with the PA there. I will never go there again, ever.

The P.A.Mehta is terrible. Went there to be seen for buzzing in ears the lady that did the hearing test told me I have some hearing loss in both ears that the doctor would go over the results with me. When Mrs. Mehta came in the room she looked down my throat, inside my nose saw that I had a hole which I already had told her about before she saw it asked me if I ever done cocaine I Have Never Done No Drugs so she order a ct of my nose.

I asked her about the buzzing in my ears she responded back by saying your ears are fine never looked in either ear, I told her what the lady said about the hearing loss, so by this time she said I be right back went to get the test and told me I have aging hearing loss there is nothing to be done for the buzzing sound to have hearing test once a year. Never Never looked in either ear. I am getting a 2nd opinion.

If I could rate this place in the negatives, I would. First of all, just rating based off of professionalism, ZEROOOOO. She was rude, wore sandals (I have NEVER met or seen a Doctor wear sandals at work, and I also work for a Doctor myself.) She talked to me for literally like 5 minutes about my medical history, shined a light in my throat, told me she'd refer me and that was the end of my appointment.

Fast forward a few weeks and I receive a statement in the mail that I was billed almost $500 for: (description on statement) An O/P procedure for 45-60 minutes. I called them thinking there was a coding mistake. And they told me that was correct and that's what I will have to pay. I proceeded to tell the lady I spoke with that I was NOT in their office for that long so I shouldn't be billed for an amount of time that I wasn't there for.

There was no comprehensive exam, there sure as heck was no procedure, I barely even spoke to the Doctor for more than 5 minutes, so the description on the statement stating 45-60 minutes was clearly wrong, and they were obviously trying to lie to find a way to justify charging me that much when it was far from truthful or accurate. But if they adjusted that statement based off of the ACTUAL time I was there, my bill would maybe be $20 which of course does not benefit them.

The lady I spoke with became aggressive with me (clearly not willing to hear me out or make adjustments based off this BS claim) and told me that "I don't understand how many components go into the Doctor seeing me, like going over my chart before I arrive, going over my medical history, etc." To which I replied "First of all I do understand, I myself worked for a Doctor for many years as an Dental Assistant before going to school as a Hygienist, so I DO understand what goes into what Doctors do, but your Doctor did not do any of these things that you're charging me for!

I was a new patient that day so I had no chart for her to go over. And I was in the process of filling out my medical history when I was called back to the room, so she in fact did NOT go over my medical history prior to my arrival.". Again, my argument for why I felt this amount was WRONG, clearly calling out their BS. But the more facts I had, the more stubborn she became, obviously putting her foot down refusing to hear me out or help me when they are obviously trying to rip me off.

I'm writing this because I feel like I was scammed. And I have NEVER been in a Doctor's office this unprofessional. The Doctor wore freaking Sandals for crying out loud and it looked her nails hadn't been done in years. As petty as that detail may be, it seems to be a perfect reflection on their level of professionalism. Save yourself the trouble and stay far away from these scam artists. I feel like you could wave at the Doctor in the hallway and they'd charge you $350 for speaking to her LOL! BS scam.

I have nothing but positive things to say about this office and their staff. At 39 years old, I was afraid when I was told my tonsils needed to be removed. They should've been done when I was younger but the issue was never pushed. From the time I entered this practice, I felt really comfortable in knowing I would get great care. To make it even better, when my husband and I arrived at the surgery center, we both looked at each other and said "This place feels really nice and comfortable!" I was somewhat nervous but every staff member made me feel like I was family.

To top it all off, I was wheeled into the OR and knew I had the right surgeon because he had country music playing and you could tell that he was in his zone. Thank you Dr. Mansfield and your entire staff for taking such great care of me.

I am so happy that I was referred to Dr. Damask. She has been an answer to my prayers. I appreciated her knowledge and professionalism. She genuinely cared about my situation and has done everything in her power to help me get the care I need thus far; as well as, referred me to a great specialist for my condition for the future. If you're in need of a caring professional in this field I recommend Cape Fear Otolaryngology, especially Dr. Damask.

I also liked that I could submit my information online before my initial appointment (which made it easier to check in the first time) and that I can keep up with my information through their website.
