We had an unacceptable experience with Dr. Albert Munn. My husband is an Army vet with documented peripheral loss and we travelled all the way from Snead's Ferry to your Raleigh office. Dr. Munn was very snide and verbatim told my husband that even though his results corroborated what he had been given, the tests are "inaccurate and boring!" He then offered no further explanation concerning the health of his eye or explained why he was so dismissive.

As you can imagine, my husband left feeling very confused. I am appalled. If the tests are inaccurate, WHY is a highly educated 'doctor' who attended UNC using adjectives like 'boring' to describe tests he administers in reference to the health of a patients eye, with NO elaboration. This is unprofessional and unacceptable. And you can be sure that I'm leaving this review on every channel I can and I am also complaining to the VA themselves, for entrusting your office for veteran evals.

How blatant and discriminatory. I can only wonder and assume that this is the attitude that all the veterans who visit your office are met with. Your office and your doctor has no business using this kind of rhetoric AT ALL, in any capacity. UPDATE: When we called and complained to the VA eval liason they told my husband that Dr. Munn should've went over his test results STEP BY STEP. This was not done or attempted.

Dr. Munn is an excellent ophthalmologist--I don't believe there is a better eye doctor in North Carolina. I've been seeing him for almost 10 years, and trust him completely. He has a great manner, always taking the time to make sure I understand what he is telling me. When I needed eye surgery, I could have had it done closer to my hometown, but decided to have it in Raleigh so Dr. Munn could be the surgeon. Unfortunately, in 2018 the state of NC changed their employee vision insurance provider to a company that will only allow visits to optometrists, not ophthalmologists.

The optometrists I've visited were more interested in selling me eyeglasses than in protecting my vision. I have canceled my vision insurance plan with the state, and will pay the ridiculously high BCBS copay (nearly $100) to see Dr. Munn. It's worth it to me to safeguard my eyesight.

I took my grandpa here and he has been going to this place for 12 years. The way he grew up he was use to having to wait for whites to go before him but being that I am 20 years old I'm not use to this type of behavior especially in this day and age. We came early to the appointment about 30mins early and they made us wait for reasons unknown. Every white person that walk thru the door the seen before us even those without an appointment I wish this place can get less than a 1 star sincerely an African American granddaughter
