For more than 25 years, the Center for Child & Family Health has been at the forefront of evidence-based interventions in abuse, neglect, and other childhood traumas. Today, our treatment and prevention programs reach more than 2,500 children in Durham and surrounding communities. We also train hundreds of child-serving professionals each year throughout North Carolina and beyond in the same highly effective practices we use, steadily improving access to trauma-informed care and services for thousands of children and families.
We strive to define, practice, and teach the highest standards of care in treating and preventing childhood trauma. The Center for Child & Family Health uniquely integrates community-based practice and academic excellence, and our professionals utilize multidisciplinary measurable approaches for professional training and research related to child traumatic stress.
Across all our strategies and programs, CCFH relies on robust partnerships to bring highly effective, trauma-informed care to children and families in Durham, throughout North Carolina, and beyond. We value collaboration, and we welcome opportunities to help other agencies, institutions, and systems improve their outcomes by sharing our expertise in childhood trauma. With your help, CCFH can transform the reality of childhood trauma into hope for a healthy future.
