A "good night's sleep" is what we require to feel energized in the morning and prepared to take on the physical and mental challenges of the day. Although we spend 1/3 of our lives asleep, the study of normal and disordered sleep is in its infancy. Sleep is an active process involving an organized sequence of events.

I have been going to this practice for 8 years. I have literally only seen Dr. Emsellem once. She walked in while I was meeting with a Nurse Practitioner(NP), made a couple of odd comments, and then left after about two minutes. I assume that she was just fulfilling some sort of legal requirement in order to get professional reimbursement. I do not remember her even asking me any medical questions.

If you become a patient there you will most likely only be seen by NP's. They have all been very competent and engaging. Unfortunately they do not seem to last very long there. If it were not for the NP's I would find another practice. The rest of the staff has been helpful and I did not find the office to be disorganized.

Dr. Emsellem is very good if you can see her. When I originally had a critical need for a sleep study years ago they could make no accommodations to speed up any aspect of the process and it took almost a year to do what could have been done in a day. Scheduling is impossible and staff can be rude because they know they are the only act in town. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DOING AN ONLINE SLEEP STUDY THAT SENDS YOU THE EQUIPMENT FOR THE STUDY TO YOUR HOME WITHIN DAYS AND CAN GET YOU THE PRESCRIPTION AND CPAP EQUIPMENT YOU NEED IF YOU HAVE SLEEP APNEA.

The best doctor ever met! knowledgeable and patient and would explain all the details of my sleep study results! (Two hours!) One recommendation is that the educational videos should be asked to watch before coming to the clinic.

I'm old, so I've dealt with many doctors' offices and medical facilities over the years. This place is by far is the worst I've ever had to deal with. No one returns your calls, no one answers your emails even though you are told on voicemail that they will. If you are lucky enough to get a human to pick up the phone, that person is rude, interrupts you, and somehow your phone call "drops".

And you are back to waiting on hold. If you have nothing better to do than wait forever on the phone or if you enjoy sending emails that will never get answered, this place is for you. I'm looking for a new doctor.

For over 3 years, I have had sleep issues. Now with the whole pandemic, I had been even more stress. There is nothing worse than losing sleep. A friend recommended Dr. Emsellem and for a month now, I've had sound sleep with no interruptions. It's nice to get my life back.

Very disorganized and hard to get anything done. The phone tree is a mess, so getting to talk to someone is hard. If you try to get to the front desk, you go into a "do loop" where the phone will ring 7-8 times and then say "there are X number of people ahead of you. Please press one to leave a message or stay on the line to wait for a representative." but then go back to ringing 7-8 times and the message again.

Very disconcerting. I've left messages and they are never returned, so I suggest waiting. The sleep techs said that the results would be sent to my doctor, but after 2 months and they didn't send them, I had to specifically ask. Also, I couldn't sleep at all for the first 3 hours of my study because the bed was so hard it made my hips, knees, and back hurt, so I tossed and turned all night, but on the study it said I fell asleep in 8 minutes and slept like a log. Hard to have confidence in the results with that experience.

This is the absolute worst practice I have ever experienced in my entire life. So bad that I felt compelled to write a review something I do not like to do unless I'm completely blown away in a positive manner or absolutely fed up with disdain. This office will get you in run your study and get you your equipment but at that point you are essentially no longer a patient you become dead to them.

They begin to cancel all your appointments for the foreseeable future as in their eyes you are now deceased and they got your money. Try to call and reschedule something and you get lost in a black hole because in fact you are just a spirit at this point your physical body has vacated earth in the view of this office. You will try with all your might to update prescriptions and they can't hear you because you are a ghost or they just don't care.

I'm truly unsure if I'm alive or just a figment of anger floating in the air. I've written this like a joke but I assure you it anything but. One star was the lowest I could go. But I guess they are good at getting you in and set up with cpap then they drop you like a bad habit. I would advise creating your own cancellation policy and see if you can fine them when they cancel all of your appointments. Enjoy the black hole. interstellar style behind the bookcase. There but not there.

So disappointed. This place has gone downhill. The disorganized administrative staff has ruined this practice. I was waiting to be checked in, and the phone kept ringing. Two of the three front desk employees just let the phone ring. The person checking me in answered the phone. Then, there was 3 month wait to get scheduled. The best part is that I was blamed for the scheduling delay. I proved to the chastising scheduler that I hadn't heard from their office for several months. I recommend avoiding this practice.

Not patient-centered. I've been a patient of of this practice for nearly two decades. I had no complaints in the beginning, but had nothing to compare it to. Here's why I won't be returning as a patient. It seems their practice has grown beyond their ability to adequately manage it. When you call the office you enter a labyrinthine phone tree. It can take a while to connect to and a live human being.

Poor response time to messages left by phone or email. They chose leave a message on my home phone during the day rather than calling my cell phone which I explicitly provided. Inefficient. But the final straw took place after I requested a prescription for a travel CPAP ahead of going on extended travel. I received a vm message stating that I needed to schedule an appointment to come in to fit for the travel CPAP.

When I called back to inquire, the receptionist explained that they sell the travel CPAP for $490. Meanwhile, I had already contacted my GP for an Rx, received it withing 24 hours and ordered the CPAP online for $459. Again, they're just not patient-centered. Profit first. I might also note that the last time I went in for my sleep study, after waking up the following morning (a Sunday), the tech left me in the office by myself instead of waiting for me to leave first. I could have walked into doctors' offices willy-nilly.
