My wife & I's appointment was at 1:30 and we checked in at 1:00. We were out of there before our scheduled appointment! Check in is efficient and the waiting rooms were nice with a nice view outside. My wife had the best experience with the doctors and technicians there as well with her procedure

I really like the whole team that took care of me. Dr. J. Doyle is one of the kindest, very patient DoctorI have come across. He listens to you, encourages you, and always has a smiling face. I am very grateful to him and his team.

If I could give zero stars I would. Bottom line: I do not trust SGF. They only care about the quantity NOT the quality. In 2020, at the age of 28, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. One week after diagnosis I started a two week medication regimen with SGF and underwent egg retrieval, 3 days before starting chemo. My husband and I chose SGF as my oncologist recommended them.

I was very fortunate to have 10 eggs from the retrieval. We asked to have embryos made immediately; however, was told SGF only freezes eggs. They would not freeze embryos even if couples were already married. Ultimately, we had eggs frozen not embryos. About 2 months after the retrieval, my husband and I started pursuing surrogacy as a means to have children.

When this was expressed to SGF, they responded saying they wished they had known sooner as they would have frozen embryos over eggs. We asked SGF to make embryos immediately to continue with surrogacy in September 2020. SGF took several months (until February) to respond in any way. The first response was from the finance team asking for money. Additionally, SGF lost our paperwork and and took over 2 months to schedule my husband for his FDA panel.

Those 10 eggs meant the entire world to me. After months of hounding SGF to make embryos they finally did; however, none survived past day 6. To this day I do not know if anything could have been done to prevent this or if this was natural causes or SGF negligence since they could not even handle easy administrative tasks. Unfortunately, I will never know.

My husband and I wasted our only chance at having biological children, months of heartache and waiting around, and thousands of dollars. At SGF you are simply another number not a human being trying to have a child. Update: Reached out to the "helpline" the day they left the below comment and have not heard anything. Yet again disappointed.

The worst fertility center. They just try to get your money! The center is unprofessional, untrustworthy, and unethical! I had to ask multiple times for the reports and my medical records. Their first response is always that they have nothing and that the nurse's messages in the message portal are enough. At the end I got the reports but I had multiple messages and calls back and forth with them refusing that they have anything to give me.

Of course, I had already paid for everything since they ask for all the money at the beginning and then you need to ask a refund from your insurance. Also, after an ultrasound the nurse Lisa of doctor's Lauren Roth was telling me that the doctor said that I had no cyst and everything was normal. When I finally got my report it clearly says that I have a cyst.

And I specifically had asked about that. The center is EXTREMELY UNTRUSTWORTHY!It seems that the responsible parties are unable to do their jobs since they are unable to communicate the correct information. The doctor Lauren Roth was refusing to have a second appointment with me before I complete all the tests and I had to only communicate with her nurse for all the serious issues.

Contrary to many other reviews, I have had a very good experience at SGF. I am so incredibly grateful for Dr. Doyle and his team of nurses. I had a former nurse that left and was nervous to start with a new one, but she has been amazing too. They are thorough and so encouraging.

Shady Grove Fertility is the most well-known clinic in the DMV, so I knew I wanted to work with them. When I met with a nurse for the first time, she clearly guided me through all the testing I would need and appointments I would attend on my pregnancy journey. I then arranged to work directly with Dr. Sagoskin who, funny enough, delivered my sister 35 years ago.

He was honest about what my journey could look like as an older (geriatric) woman and exercised kindness and patience as I asked a million questions. When it was time to begin testing, the staff at the clinic - front desk, blood work - was all smiles and very helpful. As a single mother by choice, I relied on staff - doctors, nurses, front desk, blood work, etc. - to be a sort of "partner" in this journey and they did not disappoint. I was lucky enough to get pregnant on the first IUI attempt and welcomed a son in 2022.

I have a referral for an HSG. I got scheduled for a consultation to do an HSG, don't know why and wanted it explained. I've called few times but no one seems to answer the phone or return calls. I cancelled the appointment via the scheduling number which apparently would be the only line that gets answered. Looking for a different facility to go to now and hoping that I can reach a live person if and when I have questions.

Where to start. one thing is certain, the name fits perfectly. Every bit of this organization is SHADY AF. Our doctor put my wife through hell with their "standard protocol" before they would even considering adjusting per her condition. This company will be going down for their practices very soon. BE WARNED

I didn't want post a review again but I am really angry. I do not have any qualified embryos passed the gene test so I have told them just dispose the useless embryos when the assistant contact me and told me no embryos can be used of my last treatment.(It is around March 2021) So I do not have any embryos saved in their place. However, I received invoice recently and ask me to pay for my embryos Storage fees for next year.

Or I need to sign form to dispose them. I do not have any embryos saved there and has confirmed that with the assistant at my last treatment. Why they send me this strange invoice. I think something wrong with their management. They should improve their management. I have to say, some staff and doctors are very nice and all my surgery went well. However, the management is really a disaster sometime.

Not only for this issue, but also for other problems. Lots of confused things. Well, in order to avoid being charged again wrongly. I paid 15$ to get the docusign form to make sure I will not be charged over 600$. Shady grove has lots of good doctor but the management is not very good which makes the patient very confused and feel uncomfortable.

I applied here for PSR and you know they said you have to be fully vaccinated and I did and literally for them to make me go thru all this processes of interviews and not get hired it's disappointing because I put my health on the line over this shit and I got the worst type of vaccine to Johnson vaccine just so I can be ready it really throws me off it's a company full of woman I would think they would understand what their asking for but god knows what he's doing so may another bigger blessing come!

My wife and I contacted Shady Grove and was told that consultation was free. On the day of the consultation, the doctor informed us they will not take our insurance. He then quickly rushed us off the zoom call; it literally last 5 minutes. Fast forward a month later we get a bill for $175 for consultation. I honestly think this company only caters to rich people or those who can afford treatment.

Once the doctor realized he wasn't going to get paid, his entire attitude switched. Stay away, try other places like John Hopkins. Don't waste your time here as they only care about getting paid. Anyone have doubts about the other reviews, believe them like you believe in COVID-19! Additionally my real score is -5000 stars.

We have been going through our Fertility process with Shady Grove driving 52 minutes one way and our insurance did not cover any of this so we had to pay out of pocket. We made it to transfer day and on egg retrieval day we had signed a document encouraging spouses to be there on transfer day with only the restriction of children not being present.

Today we show up for our transfer and excited as can be we were informed no spouses can be in the room without a vaccination. Now at this point we are furious because this is important to my wife for me to be there. Which now my wife is emotional and crying her eyes out adding stress to our situation which could comprise our procedures. Now there is no form, no posted information on the wall and no policy ever given to the patients to legally inform them of these circumstances.

No at this point I would have gone somewhere else for these treatments if we were informed ahead of time. They had no issue taking my unvaccinated money. So a heads up to all the partners and spouse Shady Grove does not care about legally informing you of any restriction that might causes you not to use them. They will make up any policy and enforce it on you whenever they please.

I had to undergo several types of infertility testing and treatments over the years, and Shady Grove was amazing every step of the way. Dr. Saffan handled our IUIs years ago, and we picked up with Dr. Levens for IVF after taking some time off. Both doctors were professional, very warm, and open to answering all of our questions or concerns. Dr. Levens even called to check on me after we had a miscarriage.

The nurses and techs are all fantastic too - I cannot recall a single time when I felt rushed or had any sort of negative experience. I really liked how Shady Grove stayed in contact with me, let my husband and I have a say in the journey, and seemed invested in our success. We've now graduated to our regular OB for our first pregnancy, and we would never be here without SGF.

They are interested in anything other than making money at this Fertility center, do not care about the results. Nurses changes all the time, and the physicians can not take care of you from the beginning to the end.

My husband and I had been trying to get pregnant for 3 years with no success. We decided to seek out fertility treatments. We looked online to find doctors with good ratings that accepted our health insurance. Dr. Eric Leavens at the Shady Grove in Fairfax had excellent reviews on every site we went to. So we made an appointment to see him. From the day we met him, we knew he was the doctor for us.

He was friendly, caring, down-to-earth and honest. And he even works on Sundays. That is true dedication. Although there were several steps, he made everything smooth and stress-free. He and his team helped us conceive our baby girl and we are so thankful.

This review is purely about the billing department. My doctor and nurse have been fantastic, however the billing department is horrendous. The first problem I encountered was at the beginning of all of my testing. The financial advisor I was assigned gave me wrong information regarding my insurance. She told me things would be covered that weren't and that I could stay at my home office for a few of the tests when I couldn't.

Thank god I figured it out before my appointment so insurance would cover some of it. However, I immediately asked to switch advisors as I didn't trust her. Now, I'm nearing the end of my appointments, and my most recent bill I was charged for the incorrect procedure. My bill is well over $1,000 more than it should be due to someone entering the wrong billing code!

I have a call and email into the billing department however, they are very slow to get back. Fortunately the rest of the experience has been great. It would just be nice if they could straighten out their billing department. They just add additional unnecessary stress to an already stressful time!

For a new patient, I can't say the quality of customer service has been forthcoming. Maybe it is due to the corporate structure of Shady Grove but I have had an abysmal experience with scheduling for a sample analysis. Called multiple locations for appointments - after several that didn't call back - and found that this location was able to give me a time on a weekend.

When I came in they informed me that their staff doesn't do so on the weekends and I would have to come back. The receptionist appears to not know the schedule was my takeaway. After calling ahead the day of my drop-off for a collection room due to logistics issues, no one at the front desk called back. So I had to go home and then drive across town only to be told the lab would be closing in less than 10 minutes. Fortunately, they made an exception for my case.

But I would argue that it doesn't make sense to schedule drop-offs for analysis that are so time-sensitive. Consider scheduling constraints and call patients back when they leave messages. Also, make appointment drop-off times more flexible if you can't provide a room. That is all I ask. I can only say the lab technician was very accommodating but feel a general lack of respect was conveyed by the front desk. This is an emotional process for couples. Paying out of pocket without facilitating outcomes has soured my experience.

Our experience with Dr. Saffan was excellent. We received professional, honest, straightforward answers and advice throughout our IVF journey. He was not the warmest, he was matter-of-fact, but he was kind and very smart. My husband and I were there to make a baby, that was our goal.the personalities of our doctors or nurses didn't matter to me.

They were doing their jobs well, we did what they told us to do, we (very, very fortunately) made a baby. I didn't need a hand to hold or to share my emotions or to cry with them, I had my husband for that. Dr. Saffan made me feel comfortable. Explained everything clearly from the get go. We also had different procedures done with Dr. Greenhouse and Dr. Widra, both wonderful. Dr. Browne was the only one who I had a "moment" with, though nice.

She made the mistake of telling me they'd probably have to use an egg donor after seeing my chart after an ultrasound. I was shocked and I said, " What?" She said, "Dr. Saffan will talk to you more." So I have only one ovary, attached with scar tissue to the back of my uterus. I credit Dr. Saffan for making my egg retrieval possible (I've always wondered if Dr. Browne would've just led me straight to a donor?). Dr. Saffan told us they would perform the patented - what I believe is called - "Stillman flip" to get to my ovary, and it worked! Got 8 eggs! (done by Dr. Widra).

Get second opinions always always always. As for just wanting your money - we went in a second time, 3 years later, and were told our chances were not good due to fsh level. No selling us on trying. I only have a grateful heart when I think of Shady Grove.

This is ridiculous. The receptionist on the phone gave me the wrong time to arrive for my appointment. It was not added to my SGF calendar. My gut told me to call. My appointment time was different than the time the silly lady gave me. Now, I am waiting for over an hour. This is terrible! I blame my husband for this one. I wanted to blacklist SGF.

I am outraged! Nobody. I mean nobody should be treated below dirt or like trash. We filed a legitimate complaint with a MD at SGF. I feel like they are holding resentment. This is wicked level of evil.

I am grateful for our daughter that was conceived by using Shady Grove, however, we had a lot of billing issues along the way that was super stressful and due to wrong medical coding, long wait times at the offices and now we find out there is a, "no children allowed" policy in the office? It seems odd that a place dedicated to building families doesn't allow families in their office.

I can't say enough good things about this place. Dr Saffan was my doctor but Shady Grove is a community and you end up interacting with many caring individuals along your journey. I'm 17 weeks pregnant after two rounds of IVF and at all times I was treated with respect and kindness. My nurse Lavonna was especially amazing and incredibly patient with me even when I was feeling neurotic.

The only downside I could point to is their billing system and the person in charge of it is really frustrating. I would really recommend Shady Grove if you are thinking about this road.

The experience I had as a new patient trying to obtain an appointment with SGF was judgmental, disappointing, and made me feel pretty hopeless. Their doctors seem to be good, but the people I dealt with in reception, including the new patient manager (Katie), were rude, horribly confused and refuse to deal with you if you are not currently married and trying to conceive (things they kept on repeatedly asking me). Calling SGF was emotionally difficult enough, because I had been dealing with some symptoms that I knew I needed reproductive endocrinologic help with.

I was referred to them by my OB/GYN to get hormone and fertility tests. I wanted to be proactive and freeze my eggs if needed. They refused to let me make an appointment with a doctor, which was surprising because their website clearly states all of these services for fertility tests and hormone tests, and even have videos of young single women who have gone there to do so.don't believe it.

You sit down with no doctor, there is no consult.you just show up at their offices and give your blood. It is so impersonal and answers zero of your questions or concerns. If you do not state that you are currently married and trying to conceive they will turn you away for anything other than a basic Ovarian Reserve Test (obviously with a ploy to make money via egg freezing programs).

All I wanted was to see a doctor for what their website clearly states they offer as "Hormonal Studies" - part of their fertility testing program. But I was told no, and I have no idea why. I mustered up my courage to call one more place. CCRM Northern Virginia, and wow what a difference. They accepted me with open arms, because even though they specialize in infertility, their doctors are still reproductive endocrinologists, just like SGF's, except they seem like they want to help people more. The doctor I saw at CCRM literally spent 40 minutes talking to me about my concerns. Shady Grove wouldn't even give me an appointment to see a doctor.

I started with Shady Grove, Annandale back in January 2015. After multiple test on me, we finally found out my husband needed surgery. He had his procedure with Dr. Shin, their in house neurologist, who was fantastic! He not only eased my husband's worries but answered all of our questions and was there for all follow up appointments. After the procedure we received a positive!

But as quick as the pink line came.it went. After this and not feeling great about the response or lack there of from my doctor, I looked to move from Shady Grove. BUT then I went on Yelp and saw the amazing reviews from Dr. Levens who was in the same practice. I decided to give him a try and I am SOOOO happy I did! We ended up having to do IVF but I am pregnant after the first round with a few babies in the freezer! Dr. Levens and his nurse, Mary, were there every step of the way.

They were both extremely supportive and just an email away. After all my procedures, Mary would call with my results and then Dr. Levens would follow up to answer any questions I may have. I'll be seeing them both in about 18 months for baby number two! :-

I can't say enough good things about Shady Grove especially with Dr. Garde. I saw her once in 2013 where after years of no diagnosis and multiple doctors she finally gave me answers I needed. I have PCOS. At the time I didn't have any benefits past diagnosis so I wanted until I found a job that offered the benefits and returned back to Dr. Garde.

She actually remembered me and had the same warm and gentle approach as before. I am started my treatment plan soon and can't wait to hopefully get pregnant with her help. My nurse is Perri and the short time I spent with her she was very helpfully even helped me schedule all my follow up appointments and white down everything in a simple list for me to understand and complete. I love this place and have recommended it to many friends over the last couple years who are pregnant or had they baby already.

Dr Levens is amazing! Got a second opinion through him after first trying Dominion Fertility. So much happier with Shady Grove. The staff is nice, helpful, responsive, professional, and educated. I could tell writhing just a few moments how knowledgable Dr Levens is, he explained everything to us in detail and gave us and honest opinion and guidance that was not driven by money. He is what you want every doctor to be like.

This review is based on my interaction with this facility in Annandale so far. I have not received any treatment with either medical profession. Making an appointment was a breeze. I called the 1.888.761.1967 which is for new patients. I was greeted with a friendly and courteous off site scheduler who obtained contact and insurance information. She later emailed copies of the forms I will need prior to the initial appointment along with additional information about what to expect at the first visit/consultation.

They have an official website which provides an abundance of informative articles and information regarding their business. As of today, 30 July 2015, this message was posted on their website: "Shady Grove Fertility's Dr. Eric Levens will be conducting a free patient seminar in Annandale, VA about basic fertility treatment options. Through this unique event, you can talk to a Shady Grove Fertility physician about some of your questions regarding fertility, learn more about our personalized approach to care and how you can improve your chances of conception.

All attendees are eligible for a free new patient consultation* with Dr. Levens." Here is a link for more information about the seminar: http://www.shadygrovefertility.com/AnnandaleSeminar This location also has a personal Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/ShadyGroveFertility) where you can also check out the latest updates on their team. So far I like what I see.

As I've mentioned before, I have not seen either of these physicians. So I am not able to tell you what the outcome and personal one-on-one interactions is like. But, only time will tell. As always, educate yourself and the businesses you chose.
