Central Texas Allergy & Asthma - Robert D Cook

I was really kind of disappointed today. I was looking to get some answers and let with very few. I read so many reviews of how great and wonderful the doctor is. I feel like I didn't get the doctor everyone was describing. I think the thing that was the most frustrating is being told you need to be off your allergy medicine for 5-7 days to be allergy tested and then when you come in for the appointment they tell you that your insurance doesn't cover testing.

Why would you tell me this ahead of time? I was miserable for a week for nothing! They had my insurance information and could have told me this in advance. I really appreciate that they let me know but it would been better to know in advance so that I wouldn't have suffered for a whole week with no allergy medicine!

Been going here for longer than I can remember at this point. Nothing but excellence every time.

I've been going here for years. Dr. Cook, Deanna Weibel, the nurse practitioner, and the rest of the staff are all excellent. They also make getting in and out for allergy shots as quick and easy as possible, and there is wifi so I can work on my laptop while waiting. (To note, the 30-minute wait post-shots is required and not something they came up with. Also, having once had a post-shot reaction, it is a good idea.)

I tell everyone about this place! Dr. Leath has been my allergist for over a year now, and my quality of life has definitely changed for the better thanks to him and his awesome team! Always has a welcoming atmosphere, supportive and helpful staff who are very knowledgeable, and I've never had any problems or issues! They also have a super cute hidden garden that can be veiwed from the waiting area while you wait after your shots! If you suffer from allergies, this should be your number one stop!

**UPDATED Review** Kelly reached out to me today and helped get me scheduled and was very apologetic for the missed inquiries. I am very thankful to be getting in with them now and she assured me this is not a common occurrence. I am not able to delete my review so I hope this update will be approved.

Beautiful clinic but unfortunately the glaring fault with this one is the amount of Drug Reps coming in and out. One time I was there, there were two Pharm Reps at the same time waiting in the lobby and slowing the flow of the clinic down. My doctor appointment was 45 minutes late because the drug rep cut in line. I've used 5 different Allergy clinics in my life and I've never seen a single drug rep.

But here, they are always coming in and bringing food & bribes. I was Rx'd a new eye drop that wasn't even covered by insurance. The doctor was really smart and helpful but geez. Stop the reps from coming in so frequently. The 30 minute mandatory wait time is annoying and new to me but I am able to get some work done or look st the beautiful pond.

Tremendous staff, doctor and his Assistant Diddi's she is so awesome.

Dr. Cook and his entire staff have been excellent. It's refreshing to be seen at a practice where you don't feel rushed, they patiently listen to your concerns and are incredibly thorough. Another huge plus is how responsive they are when needed - I was able to get all my records, including a new referral, within the day! Thank you Dr. Cook, Laurie and everyone else. 5*
