The office and staff are wonderful. Dr Trizna is professional and knowledgeable. There is no problem too small to discuss and he always offers a solution. My mother saw him for many years and so have I. I followed him to His new office on Westlake.

Dr. Eskenazi is amazing! I could tell from the moment he started 'teaching'. I trained residents for 15 years and it just brought me back. A true sign of a master is when they can explain it so simply and make it look so easy. I know you know that. You can also tell when someone is teaching to 'check the box' vs. when they truly care to teach you the correct way with all the pearls. LOL, my facial anatomy is a bit rusty, but I could tell the teaching technique.

He also has 'great hands'. The discomfort was minor. Keep in mind, I've had some 'experience' (not just from anyone, but all 'cherry picked' docs) and I can say he's the best I've seen. What a privilege it is to learn from him. Cherry on the top: GREAT bedside manner. I was so impressed with 'the package'. Great doc and someone to have on your team! He'll be getting my referrals for sure, as will you guys too!

Dr Trizna is always very professional, knowledgeable, thorough and compassionate. He truly cares for his patients. I have been a patient for over 15 years and recently brought my mother into to see him to establish care when she moved to Austin. I highly recommend Dr Trizna and the staff at Central Texas Dermatology

Actually, this review is by Keith Schumacher, Miriam's husband. Dr. Procise and the entire team (Elizabeth, her assistant) and staff at CTD were excellent from start to finish. They were extremely reassuring during the entire facial Mohs surgery process, focusing initially on the removal of all the cancer cells from under my eye (a seamlessly successful result), and then turning her attention to the all-important - to many people - cosmetic aspect of the surgery.

If the resulting scar, or lack thereof, is as important to you as the cancer removal, look no further than Dr. Procise's practice. Her attention to detail on leaving my face with as unnoticeable a scar as possible was extremely impressive. Would that I were 24 and not 74! Regardless of your concerns, I recommend Dr. Procise and Central TX Dermatology wholeheartedly and unconditionally. And a shout-out goes to our wonderful dermatologist, Dr. Renee Snyder at Snyder Dermatology, for the strong recommendation.

I booked an appointment for my son to see a doctor for persistent warts on his hands and knee. He had been treated, unsuccessfully, several times at other clinics here in Austin and Dallas over the years. So, I took my 18 year old high school senior son to this visit to establish a new account with this office and Dr. He filled out the paperwork and gave me full access to ALL information using OUR address and MY phone number and email which is needed for insurance!

When getting his info, the nurse would not even let me speak about his previous experiences (before he was 18) and made a rude commitment, "So, you are still at home under your parents grasp." Really? How unprofessional! I understand the privacy laws, however, I had full access! There are many high school students that turn 18 before graduation and leaving home for college.

Not to mention, I am paying for it and he is on our family insurance plan! Geez! He has had three visits that have been helpful, so I didn't want to complain. However, I had to reschedule an appointment for him today. (since he forgot as many teenagers do when on spring break and I would be charged for a no -show visit) The receptionist hassled me. enough is enough!

Lia Stratton is the best ever. She is the 4th dermatologist I have seen and she is the only one who has gotten my hair loss back on track. I used to see her in San Antonio and now I drive 200 miles to see her in Austin. She is caring and listens to all of my needs and has been such a blessing in my life.

My family have been patients of Dr. Zoltan Trizna for years. We followed him to the beautiful new office. He's knowledgeable and kind. He always takes the time to find out what's going on in our lives. He and his staff are aware of the high cost of some of the dermatology creams and help by ordering them through speciality compounding pharmacies for us. I know it's more work for the office but it saves us a lot of money.

Let me start off by saying, Lia Stratton is incredible! She was the first dermatologist that actually listened to me, empathized with me and prescribed me something that completely cleared my skin. I was so comfortable with her and thankful that I came to her. Her nurses were always so kind and welcoming as well! My only reason for the 4 stars is that I came across multiple front desk staff that were not very welcoming.

It seemed like it was directed only at me, as I watched them be very kind to other patients. I'm not sure what the reasoning was for this. On my last visit the staff member that checked me out talked in a very condescending tone and quite frankly, was rude to me in a not so subtle way. Mind you, this was not every member of the front desk staff, as I did come across employees that were very kind. I would return here because of Lia and the other staff and I would still recommend Central Texas Dermatology to anybody who asked me for a recommendation!

Been seeing Melissa Binney, NP for my annual skin cancer screenings for 17 yrs. Also for other minor issues. She is very thorough and nice. I feel confident she'll catch a potential cancer spot if there is one.

I highly recommend CTD! Dr. McDonald and her staff are amazing. I've had to go in multiple times this past year and every time I am nervous and anxious but CTD puts my worries at ease. If you are looking for a friendly, knowledgeable dermatologist with incredible doctors and nurses, look no further! For my most recent visit, a huge thank you to Dr. Mcdonald and Michael for all your incredible work with my last procedure.

I recently had a procedure done by Dr. Antunes. He had to do a skin graft from my forehead to my nose to close the wound from the Mohs surgery. He fully explained the procedure to me and the results are outstanding. I highly recommend Dr. Antunes for his expertise and taking the time to explain the procedure prior to surgery.

I've hired aestheticians, for decades, in three states including California. I've had good experiences and bad. Diana H. consistently rates as the BEST aesthetician, I've encountered, because she cares a lot about minimizing needle pain, she's knowledgable, personable, customer service driven and pinpoint precise with product placement. How can you ask for anything more?

Dr. Emily Prosise and the team at Central TX Dermatology are wonderful. Every step of the process from making the appointment, getting a price estimate, the appointment itself to the follow up was thorough, professional and pleasant. They provide excellent service in a comfortable environment and do a great job of educating you on any issues and what your options are to address those issues - without any pressure. I recommend Dr. Prosise and her team without reservation.

Can't say enough good things about Dr Emily Prosise! She has provided absolutely outstanding care to both my husband and myself, successfully (completely) removing two skin cancers from him and advising me with some benign but bothersome skin issues. She always makes sure we are fully informed about all our options, without ever making us feel pressured into anything.

She genuinely cares about making sure we understand what is going to happen, and that we are comfortable with it, before proceeding. And her attention and follow-up with us post-op has also been outstanding. I've been so impressed with her thoroughness, empathy, and surgical expertise. Her nurses are also wonderful, very professional and caring. Finally, our experiences with the front desk have also been positive, from booking appointments, to billing issues--all has been seamless and professional, and estimates have been accurate. Not even the hint of a negative experience during any of our many visits to her office. Highly recommend!

I had a wonderful experience with this office. The office staff was attentive and kind. The scheduling was smooth and easy. Dr. Ramsdell is a very knowledgeable and experienced and did not hesitate to help with my urgent need for care. I highly recommend his office for any dermatology needs.

UPDATED: thank you to the empathetic woman who called, apologized, and delivered on her offer of a refund. It's nice to know some people really do care about customer service. Thank you, Central Texas Dermatology!

Let me preface this review by saying that the actual skin care I received was excellent. I had an appointment with Melissa about a small bump under my left ear that she excised for me. I was appreciative of her professionalism, and the entire environment was quick and relatively painless. My one-star review (and my problem) stems from the abysmal handling of my bill, and hostile/unhelpful over-the-phone support. Dealing with their front desk customer service(or lack of it) has convinced me to never offer them my business again, as well as recommend to all friends and family to avoid them like the plague.

I decided to pay out-of-pocket, so I asked a lot of detailed questions about the total cost of what I would be paying in cash. I got answers that sounded acceptable, and approved the procedure. The office visit was in the neighborhood of $85, and the procedure itself was estimated to be between $120-$200, so I said that was fine. They told me that after the excision they would need to run lab tests on the chunk of skin they removed.

I told them I had no interest in that- it was just a bump that hadn't changed shape, size, or color for over a year. I merely wanted it cut off, and they refused, insisting on lab tests. I asked for estimates, and they told me probably somewhere between $200-$400. So now, WORST case scenario I'm out $685 total if the lab tests turn out to run on the expensive side.

I told them if it was going to be any more expensive than that, I would walk right out the door. They ASSURED me it would not be more expensive than that. I went ahead and approved the procedure after they set me at ease. Much to my surprise and mounting frustration, I received a bill nearly a month later from Clinical Pathology Laboratories. The bill was in the amount of nearly FIFTEEN HUNDRED DOLLARS for the lab tests that I tried to have them not do in the first place.

Why on earth would I agree to tests if it was possible for me to be charged that amount of money? I called Central Texas Dermatology to solve this problem, and they essentially told me it was between me and Clinical Pathology Laboratories. The person I spoke to over the phone was incredibly unhelpful and seemed fairly green at her job, displaying little or no ability to work with a frustrated customer.

I explained the situation as politely as I could. The next time I got in touch after no success at resolution, I spoke with her again. She was confrontational when I again attempted to have CTD take responsibility for incorrectly quoting me a price range. I asked to be escalated to a manager, and she told me the manager was "out on personal leave" and would not be back in the foreseeable future.

This lack of customer service seems to be common, as others have commented on the condescending attitude of the receptionist in the comments below this one! There was a very easy way to avoid this situation, and it was to be completely honest with customers. Giving a customer assurance of a price range and promising it won't be more than a certain amount is worse than egregious; it's fraudulent. Failing that, the solution would have been to respectfully solve the problem to mutual agreement and mutual payment. Central Texas Dermatology failed both opportunities, and I will happily tell anyone who asks for a reference to a good Dermatologist to avoid them at all costs.

We see Dr McDonald. Have been for close to 10 years. She is great. Have had multiple procedures here related to skin cancer screening. The only drawback is the receptionist. We are no longer in network so we private pay. She is always condescending and makes a comment that we are uninsured when making appointments to the extent that we dread calling and having to interact with her.

Firstly, Dr McDonald and Ramsdell are fantastic.no issues there. Very skilled and caring. Have recommended friends to Central Texas Dermatology. My issues is the terrible and rude customer service I received from the "Patient Care Coordinator". Came in for a scheduled appointment that they set up and was told I'm not on the schedule. I was blamed for the "Miss Communication".

After stating it was scheduled and have their business card posted to my monitor so I didn't forget I knew I was right. She finally told me to wait and they would get a nurse. 25mins later.nothing, but in the meantime I had a photo sent to me of the business card. I showed the "Patient Care Coordinator".no apology for blaming me for the "Miss Communication". 35mins later."Patient Care Coordinator" comes into the lobby and said they are prepping a room. 45mins later. Finally a nurse calls me just to get my sutures removed. Terrible and rude customer service.such a shame for the Doctors of this practice.

I'm signing up just to inform you of the poor service I have received here. They failed to do their part of signing me up for a new medicine, so I had wasted a blood sample, doctors visit, my time, and my money. Not only did they do this, they refused to give me another medicine that I had been on for four months without seeing them. So I had to book a last minute appointment before going on a trip in order to have my prescription refilled where as I usually can get it refilled with no appointment. Irritating and a waste of my time. Disappointed with the lack of service.

Dr. McDonald is wonderful. She was very thorough and took lots of time with me. I didn't feel rushed at all like several other dermatologist I have gone to in the past. I felt she was really interested in my questions and concerns. Front desk was also very nice and friendly. Really, really enjoyed my visit.

The office staff has got to be the happiest nurses I've ever seen. The office is beautiful and welcoming. There is even an amazing dog names Charlie in the office sometimes, and kids really love him. I've had several basic dermatologic procedures done here, and every time was simple, professional, and outrageously friendly.

It's been almost two years since I had a basal cell carcinoma removed from my nose by Dr. William Ramsdell at Central Texas Dermatology. Since then I have been back every 6 months for a complete body check to make sure nothing else is growing where the sun once shined. Each visit I am impressed with the friendliness, courtesy and attitude of every member of the staff I encounter.

Last visit a small perhaps pre-cancerous thing (actinic keratosis in all likelihood) was observed on my forehead, and frozen off with a quick blast of liquid nitrogen before you could say "Holy shit that's cold!" The doctor also took some time to admire his handiwork in using a very unusually-shaped flap of nose skin to close the fairly large defect which remained after the growth was excised in April 2007. Today, the bizarre scar that once graced my nose is all but invisible, and I remain cancer free.

I had my doubts at the time, wondering if a small "plug" of skin as a graft would not have been easier to recover from. Despite the doctor's assurances, the scar left by 50 or so stitches was downright scary. Today, I applaud his judgement and skill and the choice to go with the reconstructive flap closure. I gave the doctor permission to use my recovery progress images and the results are here at the right side of the page (a bit nasty looking in the early pics), from two days post to 18 months post surgery: http://www.centexderm.com/mohs.php This is a fine place to have anything dermatological done. Everyone, from Doc Ramsdell on down the line seems to enjoy working here, and that shows in the smiles on every face, and the pleasant atmosphere that pervades the entire office.
