Staff is incompetent and unorganized! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR STRESS OUT WITH THESE DOCTORS! My husband's procedure was scheduled with 2 months in advanced. Insurance approved it March 7th. Procedure was scheduled for May 2nd 2022. We took time off from work, got help from our family to watch our kids for my husbands procedure. Do not waste your time at this place! Candice from doctors office called us the friday before scheduled procedure and canceled because they couldn't get insurance approval when it had already been approved May 2nd 2022. You gotta be kidding me! They don't know what the heck they are doing. They are unorganized and cannot keep up with patient appointments! I rather find a doctor in Houston.

Absolutely love Dr. Gordan Mitchell. However, it can take you up to an hour to an hour to get someone to answer the phone. Kim in the billing department needs to work on her customer service skills. She is very rude.

Sorriest in the business. Will not respond to refill request. Will not answer phone calls. Will not return phone calls. But they damn sure want you coming in for office visits to only check your blood pressure.

I'm a newer patient, every single time I've tried to call I'm on hold and no one ever answers the phone! I've yet to talk to anyone! Today I was on the hold line for over and hour! I always leave a voicemail and I've never gotten a call back. When you go into the office the staff is amazing and helpful but The phone communication is trash and is what's making me choose a different doctor. I wouldn't recommend this place if you need to speak to anyone without having to drive to the office.

My husband and I are Dr. Gordon Mitchell's patients. We have been with the clinic for 5 years. Dr. Mitchell is a caring and dedicated physician. He is to the point about what you need to do for yourself. He will take the time for you if you express you want more feedback on "how to" care for yourself. The few times we waited a long time for a scheduled appointment, we knew someone was in a greater need of Dr. Mitchell's time (possibly a critical time).

We knew he would be there for us when he could and he would tend to our concerns. The clinic has crossed trained the straff in order to better serve all patients. The patient portal is new for me. I tried it today and found it a good way to get information to the doctor/nurse team. The response turnaround was pleasing. The doctor, the nurse and the patient are a team. We have to work togather to get a more positive outcome. I do recommend Dr. Mitchell and this clinic.

I agree that this place is pretty horrible for continuity of care. For example, it is hard to get an appointment. You have to be able to manage yourself and your needs (and most older people need a little help) because appointments are often cancelled without documentation. I say this because they will cancel and say the doctor is in surgery, but you'll get pushed back for probably 90 days or so, and they will not have read your records to see why you're coming in, or someone will fail to send the lab slip so that labs available for the appt., and other problems such as this. My mom was supposed to have a defibrilator put in, and they forgot to tell her. When we found out, it was about four months later.

For almost a week I have been trying to reach for rescheduling because the Doctor is out of town on the day of my appointment. Each time I hold for more than 10 minutes. Even I left a message with no response. I consider this extremely poor service on a clinic on heart services. Hopefully you will improve your system

The doctors and staff were nice, so I wish I could rate it higher. When you leave a message for the nurse, it says they will call you back within 24 hrs. I left 3 separate messages on 3 occasions that were not returned. I had to call again, to schedule an echo my OB wanted and again to get the results (after waiting the 2 days tech had told me it could be).

I understand specialists are busy, but don't take on more patients if you can't handle the load. My husband is an MD; I understand somewhat the struggle, but you make too much to treat patients this way. At least change the message to say, "we'll get to you when we get to you, " so that expectations are managed.

Negatives: A rude appointment specialist was first contact that I had with Central TX Heart. Abrupt. Not a clear speaker. Never informed that the office is located inside a large hospital. That should be number one thing in initial appointment. Made to pay the full amount of patient's responsibility up front without getting billed. If one has a HRA, one has to have the diagnostic codes from a detailed bill before paying or one loses that money.

Other non-CHI St Joe healthcare providers in town bill you. Nurse didn't seem knowledgeable. Incomplete questions when completing questionnaire. Waited 40 minutes between nurse check up and seeing Dr Gutierrez. He only spoke to me for 10-15 minutes. He did not have access to my records that I had taken the time to scan and email to the office through the patient portal months before my appointment.

I brought a hard copy just Incase but he didn't want to see them. Dr Gutierrez-rushed, so I felt rushed. My heart rate was 100 and he asked is it normally that high. I should have said I feel rushed so that's probanly what it is. I have East Coast medical centers to compare this area of Texas to so I'm not sure what is status quo for here. My experience with Central Texas Heart was the worse since moving here. I am going to ask my doctor for another referral and start all over again with a different office. Positives I got out of the office to find my car wasn't towed.

Dr Wigley is a caring, dedicated physician with a great bedside manner. He is very involved with his patients and their family. His support and concern kept Larry with me for many years. I am grateful for him to be Larry's physician and friendship. Larry and I highly recommend Dr Wigley in his practice and community involvement. His staff is great and Stacey is the best. Thanks to all of you for being there for Larry and me.
