Orthopedic dept doesn't seem to care about your pain and discomfort. Called and complained about injury. High level of pain. Asked what i could do to elevate discomfort. Detailed information taken, but more interested in booking future appointments then helping my current situation. Was told I would receive a phone call back after doctor was consulted. Assured me they would call back that day. Nope! never called back.

Was flat out lied to, nurses told me Id be able to see the doctor who did my procedure the next day, said they contacted him and talked to him directly. Was told by the Drs office this wasnt true, never got to see him. Also discharged me without any treatment, and was still actively bleeding. The specialists here are great. ER is a mess. Oh yea, people were coughing in the waiting room, touching everything after coughing into their hands, no one came out and sanitized. Even saw one nurse walk outside in full prep, and then back in.

My son came by ambulance after having a dislocated knee. BY AMBULANCE.and we sat in the waiting room for 7 HOURS.and still waiting. I understand they take people based severity but 7 HOURS AND STILL WAITING! The x rays were read just waited and waited and waited for us to hear the results. Mind you they also had a head trauma that sat in the waiting room for 9 hours and walked out to go somewhere different.kid had a neck brace swollen face.and still waited. Absolutely ridiculous and this is the best hospital in our area?!

When Dr. Fouany was my OB/GYN, at Cole Hospital in Coudersport, PA during 2011-2013, I had many, many problems with him. Unfortunately, I didn't know about the problems until much later on. To begin with, I requested to give a natural birth for my son, and he agreed. During my labor, I did not realize that I was hooked up to Pitocin until well after my child was born - via C-section.

This led to hours of unbearable but unproductive pushing. My epidural catheter was also incorrectly inserted, leading to no pain relief and a very scary (and again horrendously painful) beginning to my C-section, which then led to general anesthesia, which I was woken up from with no additional pain relief. Agonizing does not begin to describe the pain I was in. Dr. Fouany had prescribed 5 mg of Vicodin for having had a 22 hour labor, at least 8 of it pushing, and then cutting me wide open.

My birth experience was robbed from me. I'd have been able to give natural birth had it not been pressured upon me and then my child cut out of me. There was nothing wrong with the child's heartbeat, by the way, at 22 hours in. It was just that Dr. Fouany threatened to use forceps or do a C-section if I didn't give birth within 1/2 hour at that point.

I chose the C-section to avoid damage to my son. You cannot imagine the pain I woke up in, but I had no idea at the time that they had woken me up with no pain medication other than the general anesthesia, which of course was wearing off quickly by the time I awoke 4 hours after the surgery. After this terrible experience, I requested a form of birth control afterwards that would help me not become pregnant again for at least 5 years. Dr. Fouany prescribed Essure, a titanium spiral device placed in both Fallopian tubes that creates scar tissue by irritation, leaving no space for sperm to get through.

I did not realize at the time how new this device was, or that it was permanent. I've never been able to conceive again. I know this seems extreme, but not only THAT, but I went back into Dr. Fouany's office 3-4 weeks after the procedure with extreme abdominal pain and bleeding. He asked for a pelvic exam and said that it was a problem with the Essure device that he would fix.

Without my knowledge or consent, he placed ANOTHER Essure titanium spiral in my left side. I moved to a different town years later and went into a different OB/GYN with pain in my abdomen. He told me that the ultrasound showed 3 Essure devices in my uterus, that they were migrating, and that I'd have to have a hysterectomy to stop the constant pain, which I'd lived with for 6 years at that point.

I know that there have been many lawsuits about this device. I joined a class action a few years ago and then dropped it when doctors at Charles Cole wouldn't fax/email/mail me my medical paperwork; they said that they needed an in-person signature and I now lived hours away. I figured it wasn't worth it. I'm now 40 years old and, after a hysterectomy, still have one Essure device implanted because it's wrapped around my ovary, and the surgeon had opted not to take it out because it wasn't part of our pre-surgery talks to remove my ovaries.

This would have led to menopause, and I was only in my late 30's at the time. I am forever grateful for my healthy, now 8-year old son. But this doctor received an award about a year after my son was born, and I hear that he's well regarded. These reviews look like he's well liked among his patients. I just want to say that this was the worst doctor I've ever had, and that he not only robbed me of a natural birth experience and made my labor and recovery unnecessarily and excruciatingly painful, he also robbed me of having any more children, or even a pain free life after labor.

I've been unable to talk about it until now, and my son is 8. I write this today to warn other women of this doctor. He is the worst I've ever had, and I am now looking at a 3rd major surgery, this one to take out the two Essure devices in my left side, along with that ovary, to stop the constant pain 8 years after the fact.

Ive had 2 csections here the first by Awada OOF WHAT A NIGHTMARE. The second Dr. Gable went smoothly however one of the nurses assisting needs to learn bedside manners instead of lecturing a mother during contractions. My first baby dr. Rigas insisted she had an infection and put her on antibiotics even though all blood work and paperwork showed my baby girl was perfectly healthy and Pittsburgh hospital specialists even said she is perfectly fine get her off those antibiotics.

Third baby I had they decided to take it upon there self and spell his name the way they want, and change outlr family dr. Information. Glad my 2nd born was born in Dubois never had any problems with them.

I had an emergency situation come about with tinnitus and needed to be seen as soon as possible, I live a couple hours away from the practice but I was searching for a place that accepted my insurance, when I called the receptionist told me that they had an opening that week and that my insurance was accepted. I was seen by the doctor and I was in and out of the office within 20 minutes. 2 months later I received a bill in the mail for $340.00 for services provided.

When I called back to the office to figure out why I was charged they then told me my insurance wasn't accepted and I would be responsibility to pay for the services. After a month and a half of calling different departments and speaking to patient advocate services it was clear that they were not willing to work with me on the situation. I explained that the day I came into the office they took my insurance and drivers license and told me I was good to go and that I didn't think it was fair that I was expected to pay the services when the situation could have been prevented by the office telling me before I was seen that it would not have been covered.

I was getting no where but frustrated by the end of the situation so I ended up just paying it so my credit wouldn't be effected. I understand people make mistakes but I think that they should have been more helpful and atleast met me halfway with the medical balance since they were the ones who told me I my insurance was accepted. Will not be returning to this practice or referring anyone here.

I had to use the ER for wrist injury, I kept getting asked if i was on pain medicine i told them no i waited for a very long time for being only the third person in there. Went to nurse's station and all the er crew was standing around, I walked out My wrist was banged up and I was already unhappy, so last thing i needed to see was ER crew doing nonething.

A week ago, I wrote a letter to my PCP, asking what had happened. They had made a referral to pain management, with an appointment for the 18th. I began the process of this referral on September 15, 2015 and had waited since then for the Jan 18 appointment. I wanted to obtain Trigger Point Injections for Fibromyalgia. As is the case with most facilities in this day and age, they use computerized reminder calls.

The Saturday prior to the appointment, I realized that said call had not come. I became concerned. On Monday, prior to my appointment time, I phoned the office that the appointment was supposed to be at and was told that they had no record of said referral, nor said appointment. This prompted the letter to my physician. It took me 2 years to obtain a physician in this area.

They are very few here and I received a lot of attitude along the way. I also had two ER visits during those 2 years, once for chest pain and a second for slight hypothermia. On both occasions I was treated with disdain by certain female nurses in that ER, and upon discharge, treated worse when they found I did not have a PCP to follow up with. I HAD BEEN TRYING!

Now I have a PCP, but they are using their computer system to communicate with their specialists and other areas within their facility and said system does NOT work, from what I can see, at all. Had my referral been for life saving care, I would be dead. Had my message to my doctor been for life sustaining medication, I would be dead. If I do not leave this area, I probably will be dead because medical care is virtually non-existent and this place cannot keep physicians. Whatever you do people, if you go to Potter County, Pennsylvania, for any reason, and need medical care, GO ELSEWHERE!
