I am a former patient of Dr Hicks. Last fall I had an appointment to see him or a member of his staff. That appointment was changed and I did not get that notification. What I think happened was that I got an E-mail stating that I had a message on "My Health." I have never been able to access this form of communication from Piedmont Health and have always been able to receive this type of information from Dr Hicks office in the past.

I went to the receptionist on what I believed to be the correct date and was told that the date had been changed. She was one of these "your here for me rather than I'm here for you" individuals. Joyce would never have let this happen. This electronic communication that was presented to me as being for my benefit is not. It makes things easier for you and harder for the patient. I don't know the name of this receptionist but she needs patient relations instruction or should be replaced.
