The labor and delivery unit has the best team of nurses, lactation specialists, doctors, and pediatricians! Everyone was very attentive and I left feeling extremely confident going home with a new baby and breastfeeding which I had previously been unsuccessful at. There was never a moment where I needed assistance or had a question that someone wasn't there right a way to help out.

The nurses in this unit are extremely knowledgeable and confident which is very comforting when you have concerns. No one was ever impatient with the rounds of questions despite them working 12 hrs a day and having to answer thousands of questions on top of their work load. I've had terrible hospital experiences before so much so that I have an actual phobia of being in a hospital but I felt very at ease here. I really can't say enough what a commendable staff they have serving on this unit! God bless you all!

Sever stomach and chest pain and sat for hours until was offered an IV only to be sent back to the waiting room. Then we had enough and said we're leaving and the nurse on duty said "ok, bye then bitch" when we refused the IV in the waiting room. Entire ER staff was dismissive and rude from the get go. I understand overworked and understaffed but that level of rude and disrespectful behavior is uncalled for. There was literally a guy with an arterial bleed that they just had sit there as well as a heart attack patient for 4 hours. Do not go here, ever.

The hospital has an amazing staff! Dr. K Jordan team is phenomenal. She has delivered all three of my babies! The nursery staff was perfect! I had the pleasure of meeting so many nurses but I absolutely loved Irene, Erica, and the rest of the team! These ladies were attentive to the babies, answered all my questions and gave me a lot of positive words and encouraging advice.

They were always pleasant and made themselves Available for anything I needed. My son has to be there for a couple of weeks but I know he is in good hands! Definitely was a pleasure to meet the staff!

I have always defended this hospital because my family has received great care here. My husband was sent to the hospital by his regular Dr on Thursday and the care received in the ER was wonderful. Erin and Christina were amazing nurses and Dr Goldman was very caring and explained everything thoroughly. The care on the 6th floor has been good also.

My concern is the lack of cleanliness. Since being admitted on Thursday, the room has not been cleaned. The floor is very dirty, there is a dirty urinal that has been on the counter since the first night. (he only used it once), and the only thing that has been done is the trash has been emptied. In the past, rooms have been cleaned every day. I would think of all places, cleanliness would be of utmost importance in a hospital. Please get back to having clean rooms for your patients.

If you really care about your loved ones, your kids, your spouse, you WON'T BRING THEM HERE. Your gonna find better care on the street. As soon as a stepped into the emergency room the vibes were anything but optimistic. Sat down for two hours and just walked out. No one should have to wait that long to see a doctor. I'm in severe pain and I had to walk out.

I couldn't wait and watch nurses and doctors just lounge back and laugh. It made the pain worse. Please don't go here, please when you find a good doctor praise them, praise them, because some people really don't care.

Had an emergency C section and even though my the surgery was scary. My recovery was relaxing. The doctors and staff were so sweet and gentle. The food was delicious as well.

I do not understand the poor reviews I've been reading. Chesapeake Regional Hospital has attended to my husband through 3 admissions and his care has been nothing less than superb. If I could give it 10 stars, I would. The entire staff is courteous, highly competent, and caring; and I mean everyone, from housekeeping to the medical staff of care partners, technicians, nurses and amazing physicians.

He has been in the ICU, Step Down, medical units and ER and each unit has taken excellent care of him. They all have been attentive to his needs with tons of TLC. No complaints whatsoever. I would recommend this hospital to anyone.

Just had a baby at this hospital and I was skeptical after reading negative reviews but I was pleasantly surprised at how wonderful my experience was. Every single nurse I saw was great and so friendly and patient with me. I would go back in a heartbeat if I ever have another baby.

Gave birth to my son here early last month. The whole staff was friendly, from check-in to check out. The labor and delivery nurses were wonderful. I could tell they really cared about my son and his well being, as well as myself.

I would actually give a review of less than zero if I could. My husband was admitted through the emergency room in January. Staff was quite rude and hospital doctors do NOT communicate with family members. Nursing staff was non responsive on quite a few occasions. When the call button was used it was answered more than twice usually with a response "I'll tell your nurse" but the nurse never got the message.

From my perspective this is not a place you bring a loved one for treatment. One hand does not know what the other is doing. This place is nothing if not confused. I want to trust the medical community but have lost trust in this facility.

If you don't have hundreds of dollars to pay your imaging bill in FULL, avoid Chesapeake Regional at ALL cost. They've officially lost me as a patient for any future services. I had a payment plan set up (after I had attempted to make reasonably "small" payments on it and still received a final notice). I missed ONE payment and was immediately sent to collections! ONE missed payment. ZERO attempt to contact me about it, rather just sends me straight to collections.

I'd truly hate to have any worse of medical insurance and less of an income. They will send you to the grave in order to receive their money ASAP. On top of the fact that they have NO way to make payments online, so you're stuck having to send a check or sit on the phone for 30 mins to make a payment. Never again.

Staff at Cardiac Rehab is excellent. 1 star because- since they are affiliated with C.R. Medical Center & as far as (Blue Cross/Anthem/ BCBS FEP ) insurance billing, i paid a $100 copay for "Outpatient" initial assessment(code G0463) PHONE CALL. vs the $30 copay i was expecting which is what I paid when was actually connected to EKG and exercising. I don't know for sure but i am figuring a private Cardiac Rehab facility does not bill using the "outpatient" code for initial visit.

My mom had twins here and to sum it up, the staff is incompetent. Initially, the women at the desk in the emergency room was rude and not concerned at all that my mom was in active labor. Everyone was very judgey and not kind at all. She had one very nice and understanding nurse when she was in recovery after her c-section who's name was Jenna. After she was moved into the mother baby unit, it all went back to rude nurses. THEN, after my mom was discharged, her son had to be moved to CHKD for what they said was a life or death situation, and could not get ahold of my mom to approve of the surgery because they did not correct her information in the system after her giving her information to multiple people. Resulted in a whole other mess.

I was told I could not be on hospital grounds for absolutely no reason. The security guard said he could not tell me why I wasn't allowed to be there and was just rude. Overall awful experience.

I had to come to Chesapeake General today for my gaulbladder ultrasound. While they are requiring everyone must wear a mask, they are not screening anyone when they come in. They didn't screen me and I've seen several people come in and walk past the front resk, stop and ask the people at the desk questions about what patients or rooms they maybe in.

Never o ce have I been screened nor has anyone else. This time lace is a joke, always has been and always will be. I absolutely hate this hospital and if I didn't have to come here I wouldn't.

I am questioning how a PA in the ER obtained any type of medical license. Her disregard and bedside manner was borderline disgraceful. Went here last week in severe pain 10 weeks pregnant. I only told them I suspected a UTI. I guess they took that as the only thing to check me for. Sat in waiting room for two hours in pain and basically incontinent.

Not a bad wait, I will give them that. Took my culture and the PA took me back, stood across from me with her arms crossed and told me I had a UTI. Shocker. Proceeded to tell her I felt my stomach area is distended and something doesn't feel right. Barely touched me and stated "oh I'm sure it is just constipation. Take miralax" No ultrasound or anything to check my bladder etc.

Guess they assumed I just wanted baby checked, which probably would have been smart considering. Well, come two days later I become completely incontinent and end up at Sentara (thank goodness as they were so caring) with over 3 liters of urine retention, lucky to be alive, and now at home with a catheter and bad infection. All of which could have been prevented if this PA did her job correctly and actually checked me instead of staring at me like I was some dramatic pregnant person acting like I was in pain. Her license should be revoked.

I don't know why so many people are complaining about this hospital! Give the nurses a break for God's sake! They are underpaid, understaffed, nurses burnt out and quitting, covid is putting a number on them just like all the other hospitals in the country.

Came in with my some who has COVID. I'm pregnant so the I asked Yolanda at the desk if I should get a test. She told me that if I did it wouldn't be here and that it was not a priority. I also watched her tell a sick elderly woman that her being sick was "not her problem" And that she "aint gunna die" really? And you as the triage nurse know that? Unbelievable. How absolutely disgusting.

Just left the emergency room a few hours ago. They have had to be the nicest group of medical professionals I have ever had to work with. Bedside manner was impeccable. They were all so nice. And I hope to see them at the skating rink in about 6 to 8 weeks after my elbow heals. Thanks for your help guys!

My daughter went into labor around 2 pm on the 25 th by 3:30 am she had made progress. But, she wouldn't have been able to do it without the third shift nurse Aliett. She provided so much care and support for my daughter from the start of her shift to the end of her shift. She provided her different means and ways to labor safely. When she would go to touch my child she would let her know that she was going to touch her.

She was always mindful of where my daughter was in the process of labor and delivery. She was so supportive and sweet and kind. We were thoroughly impressed with her car for my child. I only hope she has nurses who are as good with her when she has her baby as my daughter did with her. She is what a nurse should be.
