Neck and back pain can be caused by many things - but is most often related to getting older. Like the rest of the body, the disks and joints in the neck and back slowly degenerate as we age. More than 85 percent of people over the age of 60 are affected. The condition most often causes pain and stiffness - although many people experience no noticeable symptoms.
If your child has a potential fracture, they should be examined by a doctor as quickly as possible. A child's bones heal quickly, and it is important that the bone receives the proper treatment before it begins to heal. Cervical fractures are breaks in any one or more of the seven bones in the neck, usually resulting from high-energy trauma such as automobile crashes or falls.
Cauda equina syndrome may be caused by a herniated disk, tumor, infection, fracture, or narrowing of the spinal canal. The nerve roots in the lumbar spine are compressed, cutting off sensation and movement. Nerve roots that control the function of the bladder and bowel are especially vulnerable to damage.

I was recommended by a good friend to come be seen here for my hand and wrist that was very bothersome. I had an initial visit, then came back the following week for a cortisone shot. After determining that method did not work for me, I scheduled to have an in office procedure. I have never had any sort of procedure done before, so to say I was nervous was an understatement.

The staff were very patient at answering my questions and making sure I was calm going into it. The procedure went very well and I was explained how to properly care for my hand and what to expect as recovery goes. I would highly recommend Dr. Bershbeck! He and his team were absolutely phenomenal and I would suggest him to anyone!

The best experience I've ever had with a clinic and doctor. Before I finished the first line of the getting to know you form my name was called. The person that brought me in was kind and asked all the important questions before the doctor was going to see me. I had x-rays from an ER visit and they said they would contact the hospital and have them sent over.

Within 10 minutes the doctor came in and said they looked at the x-rays and I wouldn't need surgery. Definitely the best first thing someone can say when that's what you're worried about. I can't say anything beyond the visit I had but I'm at ease right now and will always remember the experience in a positive way.

This is the place to go for all your Orthopedic needs. I just had foot surgery from Dr. Caporusso and couldn't be more pleased. Chippewa Valley Orthopedics is the most professional organization I have ever seen for health care. I traveled 1 1/2 hours to have my surgery done. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. In my opinion, they are the diamond in the rough for your Orthopedic needs. Thanks again to everyone.

To say I am very disappointed in the service at the clinic is an understatement. After receiving a text to confirm my appointment I followed their link to pre-fill any new patient forms. After completing that process I received a message saying that I could check in at the kiosk when I arrive at the clinic for my appointment. My appointment was scheduled for 2 p.m. with Dr. Harris, I checked in at the kiosk 10 minutes prior to my appointment and waited in the lobby. 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment I was still waiting so I went to the check-in desk to make sure my kiosk check-in worked, she said yes I was checked in and then checked to see where I was in dr. Harris's line of patients.

She said I was next in line so I returned to my seat. After waiting 10 more minutes I decided that this is not an acceptable delay, so I told the same receptionist I to leave since I had already taken time off work to go to the appointment. I do not think it's acceptable to wait 30 minutes to see a doctor, and most importantly no one in the check-in area told me that there would be a delay, I had to go and ask both times.

Very dissatisfied, my time is worth something too. This was my first visit to this clinic as I was referred there by a friend. I think I'll stick with my original orthopedic surgeon elsewhere. At least they respect my time.

After Mayo misdiagnosed my ACL tear as a sprain, I was recommend to CVOSM by a friend in the healthcare field. She said, "If you want the best go to to CVOSM. They are the team physicians for UWEC athletics, and they are excellent." She was absolutely correct. I have had three surgeries (two ACL reconstructions and one Stiff Big Toe repair) with CVOSM -- all with great outcomes.

The entire staff is friendly and welcoming. The professionalism and knowledge of the doctors is outstanding. I highly recommend CVOSM to anyone in need of an orthopedic specialist.

I had two years of ineffective care from the orthopedics department at Mayo then when my LAST shot wore off in my shoulder I went to Chippewa Valley Orthopedics for a second opinion. I called on a Tuesday. Seen on a Friday with a diagnosis and planned a surgery at my convenience. They used the same imaging Mayo said showed nothing to diagnose and then went in and actually fixed more.

They had a PA who came to bring me back at my first visit who had reviewed everything with the surgeon. all in 72 hours. Schedule, records from Mayo, review. just wow. I am extremely happy with the care from Dr Crow and his team of PAs, PTs, and nurses. This is all after the fact that the amenity and service in the front office with getting registered and scheduled was smooth. Come here over Mayo if you can.

Just read the most recent review, wow. People reading reviews need to understand that these doctors see a lot of different "cases, " and for each bad review the majority of customers/patients/clients (etc.) would write a great review if they thought about doing it. This recent one sounds interesting - facts - nothing showing up on an x-ray, and getting mad because they didn't get what they wanted? Ibuprofen sounds like a good thing for that - doctors cannot prescribe stuff that is stronger just because someone wants it if that was the case.

I'm here to say good things on our experiences with Chippewa Valley Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. We have seen Dr. Crow multiple times over the past few years, and he is outstanding - a positive outlier when it comes to a mix of knowledge, professionalism, sincerity and reliability. It seems like everyone in this place has a focus on their visitors - it's a positive experience and a comfortable environment.

From the exterior and decor it does not seem like a place a kid would enjoy being (too nice for that idea), but it is a place our kids are comfortable and always end up smiling/laughing while we are there. We have taken them here 3 times (hand, ankle and shoulder) and they walked away happy each time. We will not go anywhere else as long as our insurance allows it.

Our preference is Dr. Crow, but everyone here seems very friendly and there to represent the purpose of their business - helping people! We have recommended several people here as well and all have been VERY happy! I feel the need to say something about Dr. Berschback although we have never seen him as a patient. Our family has met him multiple times as our sons are the same age (different schools - compete in 3 different sports), and he is literally one of the nicest people I have met in my entire life.

No joke. I jumped on here to give a positive review for Dr. Crow, but after seeing what someone wrote about Dr. Berschback I feel the need to say what I have experienced through our interactions. He seems like a great parent, very easy to talk to - great listener in conversation and nothing at all like the negative reviewer indicates. If we did not see Dr. Crow first, we would likely be seeing Dr. Berschback as we have gotten to know him through our son's activities. Again, we have not seen him as patients, but would be comfortable to do so with no hesitation.

I look for facts in negative reviews when considering a product or service, and I believe that is more important than the reviewer's emotions. Very important to consider when reading a negative review on a doctor for sure as people go to them for a remedy. I don't know about the average person, but I am happy to hear there is nothing to remedy besides dealing with a little temporary pain.

No pins, screws, plates, extra drugs, casts, etc.? --- sign me up for that! Also, a wait for a doctor is a good sign (even though no one likes it) - that means they are busy, which is likely the result of good patient care and reputation. Sorry - a long read, but wanted to share what our / my experiences have been with this group. Don't hesitate and make your own assessment, which I believe will be very positive!

Simple words on paper can not describe my positive experience with Chippewa Valley Orthopedics. From the appointment staff, surgery schedulers, to providers all were very accommodating during an unplanned hip surgery while visiting "home" from rural Alaska. I was given direction and follow through until able to return north of the arctic circle - where specialized health care is unavailable. My confidence remains high for this practice and the expertise within. Thank-you.
