Dr. Wan did cataract surgery not once but twice on my mother. He failed to ask if she had previous radiation in her skull due to chemo. Nor did his staff. He caused her an aneurism and the worst, most painful death possible. The mri then hit her brain. She had a couple of more years to live. Her last search on her phone? Trip to Austin. Funny thing, my dad called, and my mother. who lived three weeks later, and no calls were ever returned.

Out of all of the doctors my mother has ever had in the years of hell, Won never came to see my mother. Other doctors broke down crying. He did this to my mother. She had a few years until cataract surgery. Do not go here. I will spread the word: You know who you are, Dr won. Pathetic part? They know exactly who my sweet mother was. Nothing. Do NOT go here.

Thank you for your great services from Mary, Riley, Lourdes, Eva and Dr. Lee Wan. Very caring and helpful in explaining all our concerns regarding cataracts and also repairing our glasses. Dr. Wan took care of my parents and us for over 20+yrs. With so much care. Absolutely five stars to all.

Horrible customer service! Phone number that is posted doesn't work. Looks like this has been a issue with previous posts. I called it many times before someone finally answered. I am in need of new contact lenses. Showed up to my appointment and they tell me they will not attend me because I am late?!?! I wrote down the date and time of the appointment, could they have possibly made a mistake? However, receptionist was not willing to admit that maybe they may have made a mistake. Overall, in my opinion this was just rude and frustrating.

My initial visits were positive; was impressed with Dr. Wan's knowledge and manner, but went downhill from there. Due to my husband's health I postponed my surgery for a couple of weeks, and shortly after his death I called to reschedule but was told that the doctor had had a fall and was not scheduling surgeries, but I'd be called back as soon as that changed.

Not having heard from them in over three months I called once again and was told it was absolutely uncertain when my surgery may take place; I was told there was not even a tentative date, that he was only seeing certain patients? As a matter of principle, due to the attitude ("well you postponed due to your husband's death") and the vagueness of the situation, I asked if I had to go elsewhere, would I be reimbursed for the somewhat insignificant amount ($25-30) eye drops I was made to purchase and was told that would not happen since they had already expired.

I commented that the expiration occurred WHILE I waited to be rescheduled due to the Dr's fall. They blamed the death of my husband, even though that only delayed it a couple of weeks. Extremely unprofessional! I will consider it a donation to his practice. I wish Dr. Wan full recovery and highly suggest better management and more consideration and respect for his patients from his staff.

I am not in the habit of posting negative reviews but instead of an apology for something that couldn't be helped, which would be understandable, I was made to feel responsible with a too bad, so sad attitude.

They make things so easy at Coastal Eye Specialists! They are always prompt and efficient, making my visits quick and easy. I recently had a change in insurance and upon my arrival for my eye exam, they already had my new insurance information along with my benefits. I'm covered under two insurance plans. They are wonderful about figuring out which to use for what to get the most bang for my buck. It's such a well organized office. I highly recommend them!

Tried calling their posted phone number several times with no answer. Given the previous negative posts, I think this business is going down hill? Not a good sign. Went to another optometrist. Maybe the loss of revenue will motivate them to get their phone/business fixed?

I recently had an eye exam at Coastal Eye Specialists in Oxnard, CA. After the eye exam and asked for and rec'd a prescription. The next day I went to an eye glass company to have my prescription completed and was told that Coastal Eye had already requested and rec'd authorization. I then return to Coastal Eye reference this matter and was told by the doctor and staff that this was their protocol.

I contacted my vision care insurance carrier that stated that Coastal Eye was incorrect and that they should have not requested authorization without my approval. Because of Coastal Eye Specialists error it cost me time and money. Inconvenience!

Been a patient of Dr. Wan ever since he took over from his father's practice. I was a patient of his dad's also. Best service ever. Does get busy at this office as his office has many patients but is worth the wait. Have eye problems for twenty plus years and Dr. Wan has treated them every time with class and respect.

Ive been going here for over 8 years and i dont have any complaints. its a great practice and everyone who works there is friendly. i especially like the soft spoken asian lady who fits you for glasses. if youre not sure what frames to get, she will pull a few from the cases that will compliment the shape of your face. she picked out the frames i currently have and i've been wearing them for 5 years now!

To all my four eyed friends- You who have been suffering with yearly eye exams where you must be subjected to monotonous exercises: Number, 1 or Number 2 Number 1 or Number 2 Which one is clearer number 1 or number 2. Can you read the last line Look at my left ear, now look up, now look down. You know the drill, we suffer through this every time its time to get new specs or contacts. Coastal eye is very competent.
