They are glorified referral coordinators. No health services to speak of.

Zero stars. Do everything to avoid this facility. I have been evaluated once by them and once by Acumens (at a cost of $5,000) at CPHP's request. Both reports stated there was no psychological reason for me not to practice medicine and the physicians at Acumen's said I was the kind of doctor they would want taking care of them. CPHP recommended to the state Medical Board that I would only be safe practicing medicine if I was in counseling.

When I asked them to change their recommendation to the Colorado Medical Board, they said they would sue me in court. I reminded them of what Acumen's stated in their report and they said, the do not always follow recommendations from referrals. (Did I mention I paid $5,000) I had to get my lawyer involved to keep everything confidential. This office has too much power to decide the fates of medical doctors. IT needs to be dismantled with new physicians and a office needs to be set up that has a broader group of physicians deciding these cases. I had two negative reports and they still placed restrictions on me. AVOID. Dismantle.

DO NOT TRUST THEM! My husband went to them for help. The evaluation group would not let him be part of the meeting that decided his fate. He had his psychiatrist AND his supervisor talk to them and tell them the recommendations they were making were absolutely not in his best interest. They did not care. He was put on drug and alcohol monitoring which is costing us hundreds of dollars each month and he didn't even have a drug/alcohol related problem.

They also refuse to give any sort of timeline for how long they are going to own him. Their response to all questions about their plan has been, "well this is better than losing your medical license." He wasn't in jeopardy of that happening. He went for help and they have been nothing but a nightmare. IF YOU VALUE YOUR CAREER AND MENTAL HEALTH, STAY VERY FAR AWAY FROM CPHP! Seek out a psychiatrist or literally anyone else. Just DO NOT contact CPHP. They will make everything worse.

Not sure where these other reviewers are coming from but my experience was totally positive with Dr Gunderson--and they finished with me in a timely manner

You must consult an attorney before going to CPHP for help. Once you call them, they will own you and dictate your life for at least the next five years. Do not ever think they are your ally or have a fiduciary relationship with you. Their business exists by making providers look bad. If your attorney or the Board says you need to talk to them; prepare for the worst. They will make your life a living hell.

My experience was identical to the above user. Terrible. Do not believe that they care about you or your health or well being. Avoid them like the plague. Ask for a different service from the outset if you can. Their funders: COPIC and the Colorado Medical Board need to wise up.

Avoid at all cost. Went into their office for job advice and became stuck in the program for years. Please note: I have a physical disability and NOT a drug or alcohol problem and have NEVER had trouble with the medical board. Instead of help, they have been a huge hindrance and source of stress. They have never helped me in any way. They are the "tar baby" from Brer Rabbit -once touched you can't get away.
