Cornerstone pediatrics front desk is horrible! I called to inquire about if their establishment was accepting new babies, initially the woman stated that they were accepting babies that were due in September. She transferred me to another lady who was very short and dismissive, just horrible. I explained to the lady exactly what the previous woman said and she proceeds to say that cornerstone is only accepting first time moms.

I have never heard of this! she then blamed the other woman for not being aware of their policy (as I explained that I was just told that they were accepting new patients). I'll never refer this establishment to anyone based on that woman's encounter with me.

I will preface this by saying we love Dr manners she has been nothing but kind and took great care of our child. But it is DISGUSTING that this pediatrician office is so greedy that I have to pay for them to fill out a form so my day care can give my sons diaper cream and it could take up to 48 hours unless I pay more of course. We are struggling but thank god we had $20 so my son didn't have to sit with this diaper rash all day!

I mean if we didn't have the 20 guess he would of got worse. maybe blistered or septic? But it's ok I'm sure this office would of went broke without their $20. I've never been so outraged by a doctors office! Don't go here find you a doctors office for your child that cares

It upsets me to leave this negative comment; however, I hope that the administrators (and/or the doctors) see this and work to correct their office staff professionalism. My daughter is a patient at Cornerstone Pediatrics. And we have been very pleased with the care of Dr. Miller. However, there was an issue with a well child visit, where insurance did not pay in a timely manner. Collections employee, Tamika, called me several times threatening to send me to collections even though the insurance company had provided the office with a confirmation number ensuring it would render payment.

To resolve the problem, I volunteered to pay the amount due, and I stated once insurance paid Cornerstone could send me a check. When I called to obtain the status of the check, I was met with animosity; therefore, I asked to speak with Billing (Wendy). Wendy then referred me to Michelle, the office manager. Michelle spoke with accusative language and a competing tone. Additionally, she used language such as but not limited to "difficult patients, " which really left me a with unpleasant feeling.

When asked to define what is a "difficult patient, " Michelle then stated that I am challenging and that she was not changing her words. I suggested using other terms like difficult situations, circumstances, or instances because patients referred to a person and in this case a child. My attempt to speak with management was for resolution, not to feel unwelcomed by the practice.

Each individual thought I was escalading the situation due to the misplacement of money roughly $460; however, I wanted resolution on how we were being treated. Michelle stated customer service works in two ways.

My children see Dr. Amy Manners. Since we started with her six months or so ago, we've seen her for immunization shots and annual/milestone checkups. She helped us realize me needed to see a specialist for one of my children. After a diagnosis from the specialist, she has been available for questions. My family is very grateful for her and the staff. This is my children's third doctor (due to moves) and she is my favorite.

I really wanted to like this facility, but my hopes have been let down. They are great about getting back to me when I call for an appt, but my daughter has been chronically sick with an upper respiratory infection, and when I suggested doing further ruling out, I was sent home with the same prescription of amoxicillin. My kid has been sick for months. Switching to Huntsville Pediatrics.

We love love love Dr. Brassart. However the lack of caring when calling for a sick child is pretty shy of perfect. You are placed on hold for quite sometime just for someone to go back in forth with a nurse about your visit. Having a sick child is hard enough but trying to get her into the office when the staff on the sick side would rather argue with the nurses over the issue is a bit ridiculous.

We use cornerstone pediatrics for my two boys. they've been attending since they were little and it's always a great experience. Their office has a six side and a healthy side. So it is nice to know that you're not going to get sick every time you're going

My children have been going here for 11 years and I simply love it! We absolutely love Dr. McDuffee! She is very thorough with my kids exams, she answers all of our questions and explain everything. I have never felt rushed or that we are just another number to them. The office staff and the nurses have been just as wonderful! They will always be our choice for our family. Awesome!

We love Cornerstone pediatrics! They have been incredible as we handle a variety of things with our kiddos, from strep to skin sensitivity and other everyday illnesses. We've seen a number of their physicians and every single one has been very kind and helpful. Our doctor is Dr. Brassart, but we highly recommend all the clinical staff in this office!

We have also been doing check ups there for years. They still continue to be rude every time we go. They treat everyone like it's not about the people they're taking care of but it's just about the money. They should care about everyone like we were they're son and daughters but they're just extremely rude. NEVER go to this place because they treat you like dirt.

Cornerstone Pediatrics is a great place. They have been taking care of my triplets for the past 10 years. I willingly drive 45 minutes because I NEVER have to wait. It is worth my drive, every single time. I truly appreciate how they try to make my life easier. They love my kids. They are friendly, professional, and very efficient. We love Cornerstone!

We've been going here for almost 5 years. We love every doctor there. They have all been good with my kids. The wait is usually very short, the clinic looks and smells clean, and the doctors listen to my concerns and takes them seriously (even when seeing a dr other than my primary). I've had nothing but positive experiences with the insurance/billing department, as well. We love Cornerstone.

I went to Cornerstone Pediatrics as a child and I now take all 3 of my children here. All of the doctors are caring, compassionate, and take the time to listen to any of my concerns. We typically never have more than a 5-10 minute wait regardless of which side we are on (sick or well). They are quick to call back and answer questions, and are willing to work with us on any concerns we have.

We love dr Tatum and all of the other doctors we've seen in this practice. Some have different views than others but overall we enjoy this practice. Most importantly what made me review is The lady at the front desk I think her name is Mandy, is phenomenal! She's so helpful and goes above and beyond. She's definitely in the right field where helping kids and parents matters most!

Not so happy!?.We are always right on time for the appointment not just this time because my daughter was really sick. I came late I agree my fault! I could have called and I am not the only one but hey! Sick child can be considered as exception sometime! She was coughing and coughing but no body looks considerate. Somehow I did manage to get an appointment after 1-1/2 hour but NOT happy! If we can wait for our turn for hours outside & inside you guys should sometime hear our pain too and make some exceptions.

When my daughter had a fluctuating fever, we had at least 2-3 calls a day checking to see how she was. On the third day, the doctor asked us to come back in for more tests. The care was thorough, the doctor funny, the nurses quick, and the rooms clean.

My complaints about this office is the fact that my kids hardly ever get to see their doctor unless it's a well child visit. We are always put with other doctors. This is not what we were promised when we became new patients. Understaffed and you have to wait on hold for a nurse to pick up the phone. The receptionist won't take a message or schedule an appt. i've often wondered what her job duties entail.

Another more recent complaint: my sons teacher apparently lost the school excuse and Cornerstone will NOT fax another one to the school. You have to go get it. Which is very inconvenient for me. I live about 20 minutes away. I hope the staff reads the reviews every once in awhile. I'll be finding another Doctor soon. The fax thing was the last straw.

First, I should say I've never written a complaint about any business. However, after moving several times and having to rely on reviews to find doctors I realize how helpful these sites can be. Cornerstone was recommended to me by several people, however, I have had an awful experience with the front office. We moved to the area almost two years ago and were told to go here.

I had to jump through hoops to get an appointment and then my children weren't able to be seen at the same time even though they were both with me. The woman at the check out desk was rude and had to finish writing a facebook email before she checked me out. My husbands job required us to leave for a year. I was told by the doctor, nurse and even the woman at the check out desk that they would be happy to take my kids back as patients.

This was obviously not true. I called for a sick appointment for my children. I was transferred to the nurse who gladly made my appointment. She found me easily in the system and said my account was still active. When I went to check out the woman at the desk told me to fill out record release forms for my children and that my sick kids should not have been seen because they didn't have records from our previous pediatrician.

I agreed to fill them out and bring them back, but she said I needed to do it right then. I'm usually a very compliant person, but as anyone knows it's very difficult to do things when you have sick children. I took the paperwork and told her I would bring it back. Later that week I returned the paperwork. The woman asked me if I had filled out new patient paperwork.

I said yes when we first moved here, I am a returning patient. Thirty five minutes later after I had already gotten home she called and told me I had not filled out new patient paperwork because my account was not active. She said I would need to come back up there to get it before they "could" request records from our previous pediatrician. I don't know why they need new patient paperwork again considering my children's name, SSN nor birthdate have changed. (They have my updated address, phone number and insurance.) Needless to say I will not be going back up there.

I immediately got on the phone a found a new pediatrician who had a very polite and helpful office as well as paperwork online. I hope this review is helpful for those looking for a pediatrician.

While they have good doctors, it is almost impossible to get in to see them when you need to see them. They are so overbooked that if you need to reschedule a well visit because of a conflict, it often takes 4-5 months to get back in on the schedule. For unexpected sick appointments, you almost never see your own doctor. Moreover, if you have conflicts with morning times, you cannot schedule an afternoon appointment until after 1:00, as they do not release any appointments until then.

While this may be acceptable for people that do not work, if both parents work and have meetings to arrange and schedule, it is unacceptable. Working parents who have meetings they must host or attend at work cannot simply reschedule those meetings on the "hope" that they get an appropriate time that afternoon. In summary, you will like the doctors when you see them, but it will almost never be your own doctor for a sick visit, their ability to accommodate scheduling problems is almost zero, and you will find that you are choosing between missing key work meetings and efforts or treating your sick child constantly if your kids get sick as much as ours have during the school year.

We are looking for another practice as this practice is going to get us both fired if we continue to use them. I suggest another practice unless you are independently wealthy and have endless free time on your hands.

Dr. Brassart and Dr. Lawley are great! they have nurses available to answer questions and give advice during business hours, make same day sick appointments, and have an awesome nurse/ lactation consultant, Laura. I highly recommend Cornerstone.

We like two of the doctors here but really dislike the other two. The biggest complaint we have is that you don't get to see your pediatrician when your child is sick, which is the opposite of what we were told when first starting going to Cornerstone. We were told that if your doctor is in the building, you could see. But their policy is that your doctor has to be working on the sick side that day in order to see him.

Every single time I call to get a sick appointment, to make a well check up, or to ask a questions, you have to talk to a nurse and you'll be on hold for 20 minutes and the receptionist keeps picking up asking if you are holding for a nurse and then telling you one will be right with you. Meanwhile, your child is screaming while you wait on hold.

If your child is sick on Fridays or Mondays, you're better off going to Urgent Care than going to Cornerstone because they are extremely busy, understaffed, and the good doctors aren't working on the sick side. Our well visit checkups and vaccinations are always scheduled weeks late (3 months, 6 months, 9 months, 12 months, etc.) because they are already booked up.

Very frustrating! They are supposed to turn on their phones at 8:15 a.m. but they are never ever turned no before 8:45, and sometimes later. Very frustrating to keep having to call and get a recording because they haven't turned their phones over. I think they have way too many patients and can't handle the load. We are getting the heck out of Cornerstone and going to a family doctor!
