I went to see Dr. Sales yesterday. I do not have insurance, so I was self paying. During my visit, Dr. Sales explained what options I had, but mentioned that I couldn't afford it without insurance. She mentioned at least 7 times during the visit about me not having insurance and everything was so expensive. She also advised me to get insurance asap.

So when I ask what can be done to help me, she says that she can write me a script for an anti-inflammatory and hope that works, but she doesn't think it will be any difference, BUT its affordable without insurance so why not try it. She also gave me a sample packet of another script to take, and stated that it was only $50 for a 3 month supply, so SURELY i could afford that without insurance (her words exactly).

When I went to checkout, the lady told me my total was $199 and some change. I asked if I could make a payment on it and be billed for the rest. She said yes, but that would increase my total another $50 or more. I ask her why? She said bc normally people don't like to pay their bill. I'm thinking the whole time, if someone doesn't have insurance and can't pay the total in full, what makes you think adding more to the balance will make it get paid? Anyway, I have never in my life left a dr office in tears.

They made me feel unworthy because I have no insurance. Not a patient, just another number. You know it's sad when people in the medical field these days have no compassion or actually care about their patients, they only care about getting paid. EDIT: I went to Caromont Women's Health for a second opinion. They ran all tests necessary to find out what was causing my pain and issues I had been having. Turns out, I was diagnosed with Endometrial Cancer.

Glad I got a second opinion! After this diagnosis, I will NEVER go back to Courtview again! They obviously do not care enough about their patient's to find out what brought them to their office in the first place. They just want to slap on a band-aid, over charge you then send you on your way.

Thank God I'm not a patient after reading all these reviews. I called to schedule an appointment with a referral from the ER. It was 2 weeks after I was seen in ER because I needed to straighten out some things with my insurance. The lady who answered the phone blew me off and hung up on me. When I called back she told me they were about to close and I'd have to call back Monday. Super rude I guess I'm thankful it didn't work out

Dr. Sales isn't very nice. Bedside maner is horrid and no women enjoys that type of trip to the doctor. I was lectured about a vaccine for 15 mins or so then after the exam I asked questions about GYN related and she was extremely rude and tells me that I only have some time with her but I suppose my time didn't count. I pay a lot for health insurance & copay.questions pts are below her, idk?

I want be seeing her again. Not to mention my appointment was for regular primary care visit with Christina Xiong and these ppl didn't even have the courtesy to let me know that that had changed. Dr. Sales was extremely rude about her and didn't care if I had a normal & yearly physical. Just stated, well I guess you'll have to find a new one. Also, I could have my paps smear with the PA Xiong, as well. Killing 2 birds with one stone and less trips to the doctor and 1 copay.

This was my first time at an OBGYN and I saw DR Sales. She was absolutely amazing, very laid back, made me feel super comfortable, she explained everything she was doing in detail, and gave me options when it came to treatment, I'm use to DR'S just passing me off to the side and my issue to the side because I'm overweight but she actually listened and talked to me about my problems as if the weight wasn't an issue.

I'll be sure to keep seeing her as she made me feel very comfortable, they also offer a 20% discount for self pay patients if you pay after the services which knocked a good bit off my bill. Thanks for the great first experience

I went to have my annual with C. Burnes after the exam was done and I sat up she said " well how about the hemorrhoids "? That's all she said this was not to help me this was to humiliate me. The two other nurses in the room at the time were a little taken back that she said what she said as of course was I. I might as I am a woman of color and this was her way of feeling superior.

Moral of the story if you are a minority do not go to this establishment! Is this the first time I have been treated in such a way in a medical setting, unfortunately no but I am done letting it go on and I will report everything at the time and write a review. It is wrong period!

I switched from one of the most popular OBGYN groups in Charlotte to Courtview about 4 years ago and have not regretted it. The entire Courtview staff are top notch and take the time to answer all your questions and make you feel like you are the most important patient when you are in their care. You can tell that they take their patient care very seriously and want to ensure that they are thorough and do not rush the visit! Best GYN in Gaston County

Horrible experience. I went to see about having an ultrasound and some blood work done and was told that they would be able to perform the necessary test that my doctor needed. Once I got to my appointment, they then informed me that they were not able to perform said tests and still charged me $168 for my appointment. They stated That what I paid for was for a referral to another doctors office.

When I requested a refund because the doctors office they referred me to said they would not except me as a patient, they stated that they would not refund money to me because they did their job. I would like to know how you did your job? Do you lie to everybody to get them into the door and then make them pay and then do not provide services?

I really contemplated on writing a review because the receptionists and the doctor's assistant were exceptional; but I was really disappointed with the doctor. I had questions that I did not get to ask and the appointment felt rushed. This was my third appointment with this practice. I was really hoping that this appointment would have went better than the previous two. I left after my appointment feeling frustrated. Maybe I shouldn't have given them another chance.

I've been going to courtview since they had male Dr's who actually delivered my daughter and I couldn't have been more pleased with his service. Once he relocated I began seeing sales and our attitudes didn't click she is extremely rude and not considerate of her patients feelings. I then requested Hartwell and it seemed smooth sailing until I asked for my implanon to be removed, she acted as if it was her own body and choice to make.

I'm a grown woman I don't need your approval to take out a bc that was not working for me. Some nurses are great others are nasty and the office manager has a nasty attitude as well.
