It induces weight loss by reducing the capacity of the stomach, which restricts the amount of food that can be consumed. Since its clinical introduction in 1993, over 200,000 LAP-BAND procedures have been performed around the world. View our Lap-Band video and feel confident we offer the safest bariatric procedures available.
A sleeve gastrectomy is a restrictive surgical weight loss procedure that limits the amount of food you can eat and helps you feel full sooner. In this procedure, a thin, vertical sleeve of stomach is created and the rest of the stomach is removed. The sleeve is about the size of a banana. Sleeve gastrectomy is typically considered as a treatment option for bariatric surgery patients with a BMI of 60 or higher. It is often performed as the first procedure in a two-part treatment. The second part of the treatment can be gastric bypass.
A restrictive procedure, during which an inflatable band is placed around the upper part of the stomach. This creates a smaller stomach pouch, which restricts the amount of food that can be consumed at one time and increases the time it takes for the stomach to empty. As a result, a patient achieves sustained weight loss by limiting food intake, reducing appetite, and slowing digestion. A combination procedure that uses both restrictive and malabsorptive elements. First the stomach is stapled to make a smaller pouch.

He wasnt afraid to do the surgery all other doctors were too afraid to doand he showed no fea. He made me feel very comfortable before it and made my boyfriend feel very comfortable before and after it. My boyfriend said he was the first doctor that made him comfortable enough that he felt like he was the first doctor hes met with me that he felt that i was in good hands and nothing would go wrong. The surgeon told me that sense no one else wanted to help me, then he would help me

I can not say enough good things about this Cardiology Office. It was my first visit to do my annual Cardiac work up. The Dr I will be seeing is Dr K. Sherwani. The doctor I saw on the first visit was Dr R Kadakia. He was concerned and was able to schedule all of my tests for the very next week. The outstanding part of this practice is they invested in a Pet Scanner for the office.

This cuts testing time down to two hours with no waiting in between tests. Pictures are much better. The Pet Scanner Tech Kirk was outstanding. He did everything he could to make the experience the best. I have been doing these tests every year since 1997. So I have several techs to make the comparison against. When I say Kirk is the best that is saying something. Lien was the Echo Tech and she too was outstanding.

Everyone in this office is caring and considerate from the front desk all the way to the back. As a Critical Care Nurse for more than three decades and coming from our Medical Center. I strongly recommend this practice. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. Colleen M Bradford, RN 713-628-3664

I absolutely love Dr Waggoner and his staff! I recommend him to everybody that is remotely thinking of having any weight-loss surgery. They are knowledgeable and competent. Any time I have any questions at all, the staff is available via phone and email. Both my wife and I had the sleeve done. And later she had her gall bladder removed as well.

His a good doctor but his staff is very rude Lidia says she's worked there for 10 years and feels she has the right to be rude and short on the phone. When I called the first time they said I could be booked any day any time that his schedule was open now that I'm trying to get a late apt for my post op apt they say 3pm is the latest and that his not just going to sit around waiting for me to come in at 4 or 5 if his clinic ends early. so I might just book with another doc for my post op apt
