More than 45 years ago, three Duncan-area hospitals, Lindley, Physicians & Surgeons and Medical Center, joined together to form Duncan Regional Hospital. Today, DRH Health has evolved into a not-for-profit regional system consisting of two hospitals and 20 provider clinics that offer a variety of specialty practices including cancer, wound and cardiac care.
There are many factors patients and their families consider when choosing a hospital. Ultimately, none are more important than the quality of patient care and the satisfaction they experience. We believe in providing the best care for our patients with an uncompromising approach to quality and patient safety.
For more than 40 years, we've worked to positively impact our communities. We're proud of our not-for-profit heritage and are committed to improving the health of the areas in which we live and work. We're deeply involved in the community through various nonprofits and support organizations. At the request of area organizations, our team members offer their talents and expertise by serving as volunteer leaders on various boards. We've found one of the best ways to serve our communities is to understand the specific health issues faced by those who call them home.

They were very attentive & needs were met. Dr. & Staff were extremely pleasant, caring. They came up with a game plan for treating my husband & even though he had to be transported to another hospital, they listened & took care of business to the best of their ability. The only downfall to this hospital (& apparently all of them in the Lawton/Duncan area) is that when it comes to an emergency gastrointestinal DR., nobody has one! I have to say thank you to this hospital & staff for the exceptional care that was given! God bless you all!

I was admitted to the hospital last Saturday and was released on Thursday (almost 6 days). I was blown away with the high standard of care I was given. Every nurse, doctor, porter and cleaner had a smile on their face and a kind word for everyone. I watched how each person in my room was cared for with kindness and compassion. The hospital is old, so I was expecting it to be dirty and have that hospital smell.

I was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness (I watched the ER cleaner wipe every surface and in my room I watched them literally take everything apart and prep for the next patient - note, this is a must, but I'm skeptical that this protocol is adhered to in every facility). Thank you to the entire staff for getting me back to good health and for providing such great care. I hope I never have to go back, but if I do, I know I'll be well taken care of. Warmly, Camille Ufnal

I have had a bad experience with the emergency room every time we go! The first time I was having a miscarriage and they sent me home saying me and baby was fine that I wasn't miscarriaging the second time I was in with my daughter because she was sick and had a fever and medicine wasn't bringing it down she was vomiting and had diarrhea they just gave her nausea medicine and sent us home didn't run test to see why she was sick!

We went to a different hospital and she had a virus. The last time I got bit by a dog went to the we and they didn't even look at it they said to clean it and keep it covered the doctor didn't even get close to look he was all the way on the other side of the room it was still bleeding bad so the next day I drove all the way to Ardmore hospital and they stitched it up.

I loved the labor and delivery unit and my obgyn unit at the hospital they was great since I lost my baby the first time they made sure I didn't lose my rainbow baby and that we was safe but the emergency room needs better doctors and nurses because they never give you the full care you need!

They let my dad die. On February 9th he passed away after being in and out of the hospital with pneumonia, cancer, irregular heart beats, and a brief mild case of unconfirmed covid. They sent my father home several different times, some unexpectedly and always with pneumonia, cancer (which was out of their control), and irregular heart beats which they expressed needed a pacemaker to correct but refused to give him one.

My father was sick. He was probably going to pass away from the cancer at some point, yes, but people loved him. Did that not make his life worth fighting for? Was he so meaningless to you that you sent him home so that we had to watch him die? You took an oath. And because you failed to comply to it, my father is dead. On February 9th he died of Cardiac Arrhythmia and Pneomonia after you refused him a pace maker and sent him home with confirmed Pneumonia.

As a medical facility and staff it is your job and moral responsibility to fight for every life. To prolong them as long as possible and provide the best and most endearing care to each and every patient that comes into your care. You have failed. Your facility has failed. Your staff has failed. And you have failed in the oaths that you have taken to allow such a facility to sway your moral obligations to that oath and your patients.

I miss my father. Others miss their family members. The obituaries are longer in this town then I have seen anywhere else. And it isn't due to town violence. It's due to neglect and the lack of care for these individuals. Save lives, that is what you are here to do.

On 12/8 of 21 My doctor sent me to Duncan regional imaging to take an x-ray of my knee. I was called and told my out-of-pocket expense before I went to the appointment I paid in advance the amount they asked me to pay. After two months they billed me for something called institutional claim I called the insurance the insurance says that is a charge for using their facilities nothing to do with their coverage this hospital can Bill you this without you knowing they were dishonest and did not tell me that I had to pay an out-of-pocket fee for using their facilities.

I called this practice dishonest and they know very well that no insurance is going to pay for using a facility. I had no deductible and they still billed me. Be sure you ask any time you go there this claim is hi and they don't care.

I visited this hospital one month ago to have a laceration in my toe stitched. Dr. Mctague injected the site with novocaine multiple times, and then immediately began to stitch my toe without waiting any amount of time for the Novocaine to set in. After the first stitch I told the doctor and nurse to stop for a moment because the pain was too much and I could feel every bit of it, they ignored me and continued to stitch.

At the end of the procedure the doctor started to tell me how many stitches it took, I interrupted him and told him I counted three and the third one seemed to be giving you trouble going in. He didn't seem to like that comment and left the room without explanation. I was giving no discharge instructions on how to clean and maintain the surgical site.

Terrible experience, imagine this happening to a child, this would be very traumatizing. Today my wife visited the ER due to breathing issues and flu-like symptoms. They ran some tests and sent her home with four prescriptions. During her visit she was never asked to provide a list of current prescriptions she is on which is normal practice. When she got back home I called and spoke with the nurse in the ER to verify that it was safe for her to take all of these prescriptions with her current ones.

I told the nurse all of the prescriptions that she was given and what she has been taking, she immediately responds with " She should be just fine." I then go to drugs.com and look up drug interactions for the list of prescriptions, it states that there are two major interactions with the drugs prescribed, one interaction risks serotonin syndrome which is a life-threatening and irreversible condition.

I'm not posting this to vent, I just want everyone to be aware that you cannot put your confidence in any doctor at that facility. Please double check everything and get a second opinion when possible, I can't believe that the nurse advised me in such a manner. God be with the patients of Duncan Regional Hospital.

I gave birth to my daughter here and it was a great experience! I was in labor for 37 hours and my epidural stopped working at some point and the meds wouldn't work either for some reason so they had the anesthesiologist come back and redo my epidural. He redid it and it was great after that. The nurses were very attentive and super quick to respond if I hit the call button. They were so helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. I live in Lawton but I would 100% drive the 40 minutes to Duncan if I ever have another child.

Amazing! We live in Lawton and I will gladly make the 40 minute trip here to Duncan to visit this hospital. My 3 year old was seen here after he was refused care by his primary care doctor at Reynolds Army Medical Center. The staff here are professional, friendly, attentive, and efficient! I trust them with my emergency medical needs.
