Davis Carla E With so much to celebrate, we've shared a video that spotlights key moments in our history told by one of our founders, R.H. Ty Robinson. A century ago, in 1922, the hospital that would evolve into Community Medical Center (CMC) opened its doors in downtown Missoula with only 28-beds. For the past century, care team members have delivered exceptional care, passing the baton onto the next wave of caregivers that endures to this day.

It's critical to stay alert to the signs and symptoms of heart attacks - including some less obvious ones, understand how symptoms can sometimes differ between men and women, and know what to do when an attack strikes and minutes matter.

I was in and out in about 90 minutes which involved a CT scan. Friendly, helpful staff.

I was born here and apparently the nurse took off the needle cap with her mouth. The nurses were also rude.

If you have an emergency, I highly recommend you go anywhere but here : You'll thank me later. I just think it's really cute how CCMED only responses to the 5 star reviews and ignores the 1 stars. Guess they don't teach doctors how to take constructive criticism. Your staff is rude and unprofessional, but you know that already.

I went into the pregnancy center because I was having stabbing pain that I couldn't breath through in my chest and stomach. They were very friendly until they found out that I just recently had covid. I isolated for the amount of time they told me too and that time has passed. All my symptoms of covid had been gone for several days before my isolation came to an end.

However they decided to treat me like I still had covid. They didn't properly examine the situation at hand. Before they read my file they told me I would be getting blood work done to make sure it wasn't anything serious. They then read my file and discharged me with out doing any test. Told me to stay home because the pain I am in is covid related.

I wish there was another hospital that did high risk pregnancies because if this is how the doctors act I do not want to deliver my baby with doctors that don't care to take proper precautions.

Went in for a covid test in March; was talked into a couple other tests, and several more were done on my samples without my consent. After all that, my covid test was lost during processing. So, great, I didn't get the one thing I came for. I received an $800 bill for that nothing-burger. I submitted a charge-dispute form, and have received no response after two months. well, no response except for being sent to a collection agency. So, yeah, if your goal is to get bilked out of hundreds of dollars (or find yourself in a legal battle over those charges), this is the place you want to go. If that's not your goal? Find somewhere (anywhere) else.

There are some good workers but they also have a lot of bad ones with attitudes. Apparently since COVID 19 theg can treat you like crap and not have to answer for it. Thought it would improve since Billings Clinic bought them out, thats a big negative.

Everyone at this hospital was not only professional but understanding. They put up with me when I was not my best. The care they provided however was top notch. I would choose to go to this hospital any time I was in need. It is not a stretch to say they saved my life. From the hospitalist to the specialist and everyone in between including nurses and staff I thank you.

Check in, nurses excellent. Doc only screened for blood, heart attack, stroke. I left in an as much acute health situation as I came in after driving 6 hours. Hospital refused to provide my labs so that I could self treat my acute health crisis. Head of hospital refused to help provide my records so I could find relief. What ate they hiding? I will be not pay this bill.

I was paying for medical treatment, not screening for things that I knew were not my problem. I received no yreatment. If this hospital only screens for three things they should advise their patients. Patient records should always be made available to patient not every other person and entity.

I recently visited Community with my partner while she had a routine procedure done. While the procedure went smoothly and to plan, I still must say I was quite disappointed with the staff, all the way from the receptionists to the nurses. Without going into too much detail, my partner is transgender and very much presents as the gender she identifies.

She was required to list the hormones she takes on a normal basis under her medications, so this was definitely made clear to the staff. However, because she still hasn't legally changed her name or her sex, the staff referred to her by her deadname and incorrect pronouns throughout the entire procedure. Even after I said her correct pronouns to the nurse, she still continued to use the incorrect ones.

In my view, Community must do better in this aspect of their patient care. Everyone at the hospital, from the receptionists to the nurses to the doctors, should be prepared to ask every patient's preferred name and pronouns. It takes literally less than a minute and makes the entire procedure much more comfortable for the patient and their loved ones. Community, please do better and implement this into your practices. Cater to all of your patients, not just the majority.

I wrote a long detailed review of Community Hospital 4 years ago. I am a Registered Nurse and I sat with my brother for 10 days. Arrogant doctors. Yelp removed my review after 2 years because they said I didn't experience the hospitalization first hand. My brother died in Seattle, (where they could have saved him if we had gotten him there sooner) so he couldn't write a review. So much for the facility being reviewed not being able to have a Yelp review changed. Yelp just drops the negative review! GO TO ST.PAT'S!

I went for surgery and pre op nurses kirsten and theresa were great. Kirsten was very kind and comforting. After surgery i was in a room with 2 other patients.not sure why i didnt get a private room.the dr. Even commented he didnt know why i was in a ward. While the nurses were all nice the room was extremely cold. The other patient requested blankets several times.

I told one of the nurses it was extremely cold and she said is it. I ended up going home with a cold. While the nurses were nice id like to get service elsewhere in the future if needed

These people were so good to my Son. All the nurses, as well as Physicians, in the ER, ICU, and regular Hospital floor were *EXCEPTIONAL*! Also the pre and post surgery Nurses, and the helpers and cleaning crew. Just *PHENOMENAL*. 110% Satisfied as a Parent if my most precious Son. The surgery was a great success and he has fully recovered. Best Nurses I have ever experienced in my 55 years on Planet Earth.

Had surgery there last week. The nurses who took care of me in the short-stay unit were absolutely fantastic (Maggie and Danielle). They were helpful, informative, and incredibly patient. My surgeon (Stephanie Suprenant) is amazing. Would absolutely not hesitate to come here again for day surgery, and would also recommend it to others.

I had a very caring experience when I went in to the Emergency Room, they put my mind at ease, treated me, and sent me on my way feeling prepared. I also had my 3rd cesarean at Community and had the best care out of my 3 pregnancies. The nurses and my doctor were amazing and made my recovery that much better.

There is zero bed side manner here, my health issues were down played after being placed in the ER. My doctor was rude and I was tucked in the back and treated like trash. Either needs to be shut down or the doctors need to take some classes on how to treat patients.

In 2014 I came to your hospital because I suffered from depression. I had not attempted to commit suicide nor did I have any desire to do so. Your very undertrained emergency department staff did not understand the nature of depression and involuntarily committed me. Even though I was not doing any kind of physical resistance, they injected me with an unknown substance, and refused to tell me what the substance was.

As a patient I still have rights. They called law enforcement to HANDCUFF me (I'm clinically depressed and now sedated and you have to HANDCUFF me?) and SHACKLED me and put me in a police vehicle to transfer me to a psych ward. And the only reason I was asking them not to was because they wanted to transfer me to St. Patrick's, whom I knew would also separate me from my service dog, which is illegal.

On top of this, they called animal control to separate me from my service dog. Per the ADA, it is illegal to separate a service dog handler from their service dog, even in a hospital. And the psych ward cannot refuse to admit me because of my service dog or require that my service dog be separated. The ADA is very clear on this. Accommodations must be made.

If I am unable to take the dog out to care for it myself, accommodations are REQUIRED to allow a family member or caregiver to come to care for the dog while it stays with me, regardless of visiting hours, etc. Your staff ILLEGALLY removed my service dog from me. Patients have rights, even if they are involuntarily committed. Shame on you for breaking the law and treating someone with a mental illness like a criminal.

I have PTSD as a result of coming to your hospital and now fear ever going to see medical professionals for fear of being treated like I was by you when I am at my most vulnerable. It has taken me almost four years to finally lodge this complaint because I thought for so long that a hospital could just get away with violating me as you had. Please train your doctors and staff better on the nature of mental illness, develop a better plan for transferring those with mental illness to a psych ward other than criminalizing them with handcuffs, and train your staff on the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act and the fact that service dogs MUST be allowed to remain with their handlers.

After several experiences with Community Medical Center, I could not be happier with the care they have provided for my Husband. From ER visits to being admitted overnight they have always been extremely attentive. The nurses are polite and prompt. Never experienced the feeling of being forgotten or ignored, which is essential in a stressful situation such as being in the ER.

Even fixing the t.v. in his hospital room was done in a timely manner. Their staff is polite and friendly, from the Hospitalist to the young man cleaning the room. Only hospital we will go to.

I've been struggling with some pretty severe post-op complications from the VA, and this team is beyond amazing in their care and professionalism. They got me in immediately when an infection had caused a fever to spike. I didn't have to wait, or fill out a book of paperwork. They just immediately started treating. The only thing that I could complain about was the lack of internet in their rooms. But other than that I would have given them a 5 star.

I went to Community ER with a severe kidney infection, they didn't help me at all, went to my primary Doctor 2 days later she told me I should've been hospitalized the 2 days and gave me 2 shots in my hips, finally I'm feeling better so thanks Community for crappy service and leaving me in severe pain.

They don't call you back. Enrolled in one of their programs. Don't get a call back. Multiple visits and complaints. You know people have lives to live. You are already pulling a paycheck. Do your job. I found the staff pleasant. Felt deceitful, though.

I had went to community for a possible bladder infection. I went to the ER and at the point of leaving I was told it would be over 300.00 I did not have the money for the full amount so I played 100.00. later I had a missed call from them so I called them back. That receptionist that I spoke with was rude and said I have so many hundreds of people calling me, I did not personally call u.

I never got a reason for the call because she was so stuck on the fact of informing me that she did not call me when all I wanted to know was the reason for the call. The the 300.00 turned out to be over 600.00. so when I called about that the receptionist said I'll submit this complaint but I just want u to know u won't get it. Then at 7pm I got a phone call from another lady who said I was just going to let u know your bill is going to stick and hung up.

Care was better than most hospitals. The food was better than a restaurant. Nurses were nice and patient and fairly attentive. Only problem I had was that the night nurse did not call the doctor about the pain my wife was in when he expressly said that she should.
