As a child growing up in Massachusetts, I was positively influenced by my own pediatrician who cared deeply about his patients. He made office visits fun for me, was a resource of valuable information and it was apparent he truly loved his career. At a young age, I thought about a medical career. I worked part-time in high school and college at a physical rehabilitation center and suburban hospital to learn about the medical field. I provided basic assistance and skilled care to patients, performed EKGs, drew blood for lab tests and changed dressings.
I was raised on the coast of Maine, the youngest of five children. My father was a radiologist and often quizzed me on the x-rays he would read. I loved baby-sitting, playing with children and sometimes acting like a kid. I excelled at science. All these factors naturally lead me towards becoming a pediatrician.
Married to Jim, four energetic children actively engaged in our community and really keep us busy! When I was 9 years of age, my family moved to a rural setting. There, as the oldest of six children I had the unique opportunity of caring for chickens, geese, a pony and a cow as well as younger siblings!

Millie is short, curt and rude to me on the phone and when I bring my child in. SOME of the doctors are very good. If my doctor wasn't so great with my child, I would find another place since dealing with Millie is quite an unpleasant experience. I get having a tough and busy job, but you catch more bees with honey and kindness.

It was a work experience. I worked there for 6 weeks. Training was very hard. Trainers were Millie and Sam. Millie was great. Sam was not. She was more interested in talking about people and never stayed at her desk. She talked about staff and patients all behind there backs. She did not train well at all. I left because I heard her talking badly about me in the office. If your a patient, believe me she's talking something about you. I liked the job but not her and no one ever helped except Millie.

We have had consistently good experiences with this practice. Dr. Larner is our primary care physician, and she is amazing. She listens, is very knowledgeable, and truly cares about her patients. We have also seen Dr. Swanson and Veronica. Both have been very helpful and kind. We have always been able to get in for a sick visit the same day, and every provider, nurse, and receptionist have been incredibly kind and patient. As with any doctor, you need to advocate for your child, and this office listens closely when you do.

We love going to Delmar Pediatrics. Dr. Looney is the only doctor in the world that my wife trusts. Dr. Looney has been our family pediatrician for over 30 years. She keeps saying we need to have more kids so we can keep going to see him.

Have been going to Delmar pediatrics for 6 years now have always had great experiences with all the doctors but son had a pre-op appointment scheduled today at 11:45 we called yesterday and were told that was the only appointment they had before his sugery on oct 8th so we took it less then 15 mins before his appointment today they call and cancel and say the doctor had a family emergency I hope everything is ok and it's nothing serious.

And they could reschedule till this afternoon I was 5 mins from the office when they called. And no other doctor could see him for a pre-op even though we were there. I understand emergencies happen but if I were to call 15 mins before my appointment is be told 3 of these your out of the practice or were still charging a copay. Just disheartening that another doctor couldn't see the patient even if I had to wait a while for my son to be see it's instantly we need to reschedule less then 15 mins before his appointment

We see Dr. Larner and love her. She is always friendly, down to earth and listens. You can tell she really cares about her patients. We recently moved about 30 minutes away from this office and I refuse to switch to a closer pediatrician because Dr. Larner is the only one I trust!

Friendly and professional, Delmar Peds is a wonderful practice. They have check-in and office procedures that can make even the most nervous parent feel secure during the pandemic. We were told to wait in the car while our room was being cleaned, and most of our time was with the doctor to limit contact. They listen to concerns and ensure that questions are answered. They are a team you can trust!

My son was a patient here for two years until we were coerced into finding a new provider due to a basic billing issue that could have been respectfully resolved. Instead, my family was left feeling that we were not of any importance to this practice, simply because of our high deductible insurance plan. The practitioners here tout their strong medical credentials, but everything else about this practice is mediocre.

With the exception of Dr. Larner (whom we had a more positive experience with) this practice is run by individuals who lack the genuine empathy and basic interpersonal skills needed to provide truly personalized and compassionate pediatric care.

Best pediatrician ever! We always get greeted with smiling faces and we never have to wait to be seen. Dr Looney is our main doc but we've seen others there and it's always a pleasant experience.

**I am not one to write reviews, but I deemed this necessary. Fore warning of lengthy review:*** I was immensely disappointed in the lack of interpersonal skills by the Medical Secretary, Eric C. My eldest, which has medical needs, was denied an appointment because they hadn't received all the medical records from my YOUNGEST child. I tried to convey the importance of my eldest being seen. Furthermore, what did my youngest have to do with my eldest?

He invalidated my concerns stating, " its "policy" we receive medical records of ALL patients in the household before we see anyone." I requested to read this absurd "policy"- of course he said no. I went as far as to call St. Peters hospital, Dr. Kroopnik, Dr. Giombetti, and all of them said it didn't make sense why they couldn't see my eldest especially considering he is medicated.

In conclusion, I felt this was a bad first impression. Delmar Pediatric's office management, should consider retraining the frontline staff on their interpersonal skills and phone etiquette.
