What an absolute nightmare. So much miscommunication, negligence and laziness. My 91 year old grandmother went in this hospital for the flu two weeks ago and just came home today after numerous delays. She has a bed sore that is now worse than it has ever been due to their negligence and lack of care to the wound. Rashes and peeling skin everywhere.

When we went to pick her up from her room, she was disoriented and still half sleep. There was leftover dried up oatmeal all around her mouth -- absolutely inexcusable. This is not a hospital, it is a dungeon of torture for the elderly. Please do not send your loved one (or yourself, for that matter) if you do not wish to encounter malpractice and negligence. I am absolutely revolted and traumatized by the sheer lack of care that was provided to my grandmother.

My father passed in this hospital 12 days after being admitted. Most of the nursing care was poor with the exceptions of 1-2 competent ones in a sea of incompetency. The coordination and communication of the doctors to the family, to the nurses was tragic. My father laid in bed dirty and in pain waiting for attention. Most (not all) of the doctors had no vested interest in truly caring for my father, they just went through the motions and seemed aggravated to deal with family members and questions. I truly believe if there was better care that my father's life would have been prolonged and the quality of his last days, far more superior.

Delray Medical Trauma Unit is the most disgusting, dirty, and filthy unit I have ever been admitted in. I don't think these two units have housekeeping. I rarely see housekeeping in the trauma ICU and step-down-trash disposal is overfilled, the floor is old, gloves are all over the floor, and the biohazard trash is over full. The bathroom is unusable.

My family went to the cafeteria what they saw its beyond belief. The floor of the cafeteria had stains all over. The cafeteria is small horrible they can't even seat there to eat lunch. I can't believe this is a place for sick people. I don't think the CEO ever step foot in the cafeteria or in the trauma ICU unit. I request the Joint commission to look into these two units and the cafeteria.

This particular hospital breaks all the breaches of infection control, especially in the middle of the pandemic. I asked to speak with the CEO until I discharge I have never seen her. The staff said this has been going on for years no one care about cleaning these two particular units and the cafeteria. They are forced to buy food outside. The staff said to me wait to see their break room full of patients' belongings and disgusting.

Please stay away from this dirty disgusting hospital. Only the front entrance looks nice I believe because is the main entrance. But go visit the trauma Units. I demanded the CEO check out the cafeteria. Stay away from this hospital will get sicker. I DEMAND THE HOSPITAL CLEAN THE CAFETERIA AND THE TRAUMA UNITS. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. I wish I can give zero star. I WARN YOU STAY AWAY. DIRTY HOSPITAL.

Horrible service, my aunt was rushed to the ER and needed surgery but there was no surgeon on duty. She was in pain with no food for 2 days waiting for the surgeon. We were told by the nurse that the surgeon was on a plane? I don't understand how they can run a hospital without a surgeon on call. Thank God her surgery was not live threaten. Also when we complained about the situation to a nurse her response was ""Welcome to Delray". I think this hospital doesn't care at all about the patients, the employees are even aware of the poor level of service.

Went into the ER here. The administration up front is AWFUL AND SLOW! Saw multiple people come in who needed IMMEDIATE treatment and they were moving like turtles. Got to the back of the ER and the hallways were so full they had people stacked behind one another in the hallways. I'm a young female who is also a health provider and the way I observed their nurses treating their older patients was really awful. Verbally rude and upfront.

I saw an old lady shaking like a leaf due to anxiety disorder that she stated out loud and the nurses at the station were doing nothing but sitting on their behind and told her to "wait." They did not seem to care or were empathetic besides one nurse in the entire ER unit. Nurses would make fun of their patients in hallway. I knew I made a mistake coming here and decided to discharge. Whoever is in charge of staffing this hospital really needs to reevaluate and provide better training!

Your code of ethics is severely lacking. Boca regional hospital was a much different experience. Nurses and doctors were very attentive, caring and professional. so I'd advised you to go there if you want better care.

From the emergency room experience to discharge, this hospital was the worst. When my husband came to the ER via ambulance, not one doctor called or came out to speak to me. Because if your policy of no visitors when a patient is in a hallway, I could not even go in to say goodbye! Good thing he did not die until I was able to see him 16 hours later after threatening to have him transferred to another hospital and he finally got into a room in the ER.

When his nurse came i, I asked to speak to a doctor about the plans for him. She told me that no one needed to speak to me as he knew the simple problem of his condition, not the plans. After the surgery, no one, not a doctor or nurse called me. My husband told them numerous times the correct phone number for me. They also could never get his blood pressure medication correct in three days. I would not send a dog to this hospital. I rate it the worst of the worse!

You are prisoner in this place. Literally we were treated like a criminal not a patient. One visitor per day. Not allowed to walk out of your ward. Doctors think they can come whenever they want. When it's CONVENIENT for them. Administrators not available. Nurses are great. Administration terrible. Policies are horrible. Avoid this hospital at all costs.

I called 911 for a friend and he was brought to Delray Medical Center for a possible stroke. No one would speak to me about the history of what had happened nor would they provide updates to me or his family. With their computers down for the evening they refused to administer the pain medication that was prescribed by his doctor, failed to process a urine test to identify a infection nor treat the infection, left him with out water or ice for knee replacement surgery he had the day prior for 8 hours in a room alone with out a call button.

Eventually he checked himself out because of the lack of care. I was told when the computers came back on line we could get the test results of the urine test. The next day offer at least 12 tries the system came back up but you heat it no results. We called and now told we would need to wait 3 more days to get the results of a urine test. By then his primary doctor decided just to start him on antibiotics.

Do not go to this hospital if you have any choice. Please don't risk or life or the life of someone you love. They don't answer the phone, provide life saving medication nor treat patients with respect.

Let's be real unless your going to hospital to have baby chances are your there for not first choice reason and likely slightly scared. Our experience for my wife's surgery was top shelf from the greeters up front to the nursing staff that took such good care of my wife the entire stay. The nursing assistants Karen and Liza were positive and calming. Jenn our physical therapist was patient and a wonderful communicator of what we need to do and what to expect.

Special shout-out to our nurses Ashley and Jenelle who treated my wife with care and respect. Now the foodie portion of the review.my wife enjoyed her breakfast the most especially the fresh fruit. Coffee was tasty and hot.

Worst experience in providing assistance during covid times. The security personal are more helpful than the night staff. They tell you to bring any patients food or needs by 9pm when you get there at 8:30pm they tell you your late come back tomorrow. It's food!

I dont have hospital experiences but this one by far has been one to forget. My grandfather had a stroke on 5 days ago, it took them 2 and a half days to tell me he had a stroke after i knew that within the first thirty minutes. i was told on 3 separate days he would be discharged. i called one morning and accidentally got the ER, receptionist said no one in here by that name and hung up. only person with any consideration and care i spoke with was case manager tamika who was thoughtful in every conversation. i understand they may be understaffed and possibly overworked, but it has been miserable not being able to speak or see my grandfather in 5 days, and who knows how he has been treated. would not recommend taking anyone here.

WARNING! AVOID THIS HOSPITAL-THE EMERGENCY ROOM STEALS. They actually robbed my grandfather on Christmas Eve. The hospital would not allow anyone to go in with him due to COVID obviously and he went in for just a couple of hours to get his artificial hip put back in. While in the procedure, they ransacked his belongings and took $500 cash (I've always known my grandfather to carry large amounts of cash his whole life) and than they left his money clip in his pocket empty of cash (so it couldn't even look like he dropped the whole item or anything else but THEFT).

Once he was doing his discharge papers he let them know, and they're procedure was so routine and careless. EVEN WORSE, Was that when I picked him up, there was a rehab employee who was returning a purse that they had gave to the INCORRECT patient, they literally gave someone else's belongings to the WRONG patient! This place is a complete disgrace and the staff responsible should be in jail for robbing old people! I can't even believe this. AVOID this hospital or just go in without any items! WEEKS LATER I'M EDITING THIS & THE HOSPITAL STILL HAS NOT CONTACTED ME BACK IN THIS MATTER!

This hospital is a disgrace. My sister is in this hospital due to a hip fracture. Just because she had COVID 5 days ago the nurse's don't like to go in because "they have to put on their gear to go in". My sister has not had anything to eat (she is diabetic ) since she was admitted, they didn't even give her IV fluids is dehydrated and developed a urinary trac infection because of it.

Three day post hip surgery and they don't even give her pain medication. She is delusional, very weak and can barley talk. When her daughter and I call the floor to ask if someone can go in to administer her medications all they say is " she is only in pain when we move her" really! There is only one patient advocate in this entire hospital so they say, we called and to date we have not received a call back.

The charge nurse told my niece that we call to many times and we should be communicating among each other so that they don't get too many calls on the floor. My sister and my neice and I, are all in the medical field and understand protocol especially during this epidemic. It's shameful how she is being treated. I hope Tenet management reads this review and contacts me so I can give them further details.

I would leave 0 stars if I could. The "care" provided was not only neglectful but unethical at best and borders on medical fraud. We will be reporting this to our insurance and highest level of hospital administration. Edit: I see the response from the hospital already, which is laughable as I've been calling and trying to reach someone all morning. Pick up your phones!

Do not go to this hospital or Emergency Room. Understaffed, inconsiderate and abusive. Quality of care is unacceptably low. You risk your life setting foot in this place. I am a physician. In the past 40 years I have never seen or worked with such incompetence and lack of caring. The regulators should shut them down. I felt obligated to report them to the Joint Commission of Hospital accreditation.

The ER takes a while but they are always really busy so I don't blame them, I wasn't satisfied with them it took them 2 hours to put a IV in my sugar was running up too 400 and I was asking for help the nurses would look at me and ignore me or wait for my nurse to come instead of helping me ER sucks need to do better. but when I went upstairs had the best experience was admitted In the hospital with a surgery they were very uplifting and kind the surgeon made me feel safe and was really friendly and fun to be around but some of the employees that come get blood are very rude but this is a great hospital, they make sure you are well taken care of! (Look at the reviews well the area I was in)

I would like to acknowledge the following personnel at Delray Medical Center for their outstanding care & professionalism relating to my recent outpatient surgery. Nichole was my check in clerk who made me feel welcome & processed my data efficiently, then passed me on to Lisa the head nurse who completed my pre registration. The following day I arrived at outpatient surgery & was assigned to nurse Ariana who made me comfortable & relaxed and answered my questions & prepared me for surgery. Lauren was my anesthesiologist who was very caring.

Nurse Andrea was on the oxygen during my surgery & was reassuring as Dr Zavoyski performed his expertise surgical procedure in repairing my meniscus & cracked tibia. Finally, nurse Daren V helped me in recovery & prepared me for going home. All staff members were very knowledgeable & caring. Would not hesitate to use Delray Medical for any health requirements.

I was rushed to the ER because of an anxiety attack and heart attack symptoms. I get into the ER I could barely open my eyes and breathe or talk. The nurses were uncaring, and were very rude to me because I could not talk at the time. The gentleman told me if I can't give him my name he won't treat me. This was probably the worst experience I had with nurses. I know there's been tough times but I would think that your staff would be pretty sincere on their patients.

Delray Medical ER was a nightmare. I went there yesterday due to having stroke symptoms. Initially the staff was very attentive and doctors were good. This was around 2:30. My day nurse Roxy seemed competent. I hadn't eaten all day and was beginning to feel dehydrated. I asked for water and was told I couldn't have it until after my MRI. Roxy said they also had a nice room for me.

At 5:30 I asked about MRI and was told I had to wait. By this time I had unhooked all monitors and walked to the restroom. Nobody stopped me. Bodies were piling up in the hall and I noticed that Roxy was no longer there. At 7:30 I walked to nurses station to ask about food or drink. They said I had to wait until after MRI. Meanwhile man in gurney in front of my room pooped in bed.

Staff made jokes. Man was not taken card of for awhile. I heard one woman yelling fir staff member to not be mean. Finally at 9:30 I called out when nurse passed my room. I asked what was going on and she told me MRI is in morning and my room was given away. At that point I got up and got dressed. If I had died in that room, nobody would have noticed.

I knew I'd be safer at home. When I told staff I was leaving, one nurse said that I shouldn't. The rest said just let her go. But put a mask on. That apparently is their most important duty. If you don't mind losing your dignity and don't card about your care, go here. Me never again.
