My. was held against his will and came in voluntarily. Patients rights are violated. Call to ask about your family member and they act like they don't know who their doctor is or anything about them. And a lot of the time they just dont answer. Patients are given one phone in a common area and its turned on 2 hrs a day and some patients never get a chance to use it.

It's a free for all with some patients hogging time. Then the staff have the nerve to lie and say they do 10 min increments and make sure everyone gets a chance however its not true and I have still yet to get a phone call from. and he told me how it really is in there. The nurses are way overworked. always busy unable to attend to patient needs or family concerns.

Always off the acute unit or unavailable. Nobody contacted me and I couldn't get updates although I was very adamate in trying nobody ever called me back or followed through. The patients doctor spends a couple minutes with them and makes serious decisions based on that. My. arrived in clothes he had already been in for 24 hrs. he had clothes with him and they inventoried through them in admissions but never gave him any so he was in the same dirty clothes.

His dignity was not protected or advocated for during his stay here. They were jeans underwear and t-shirts thats it nothing unsafe that would be restricted. He came voluntarily yet we were threatened with involuntary commitment when he wanted to come home because he felt better. Nobody called the doctor even though I kept asking. Prisoners are taken here and apparently all patients are treated like they have committed a crime. Im very upset.

I give this place zero stars my mother was abused over medicated to the point she couldn't eat or drink was deprived oxygen when she is ordered to be on it 24hrs a day sustained a fall which Delta blamed on the transferring hospital and the nurse practitioner and physician was rude told me they would not send her for medical attention and to come get her my mom has bruises all over her I signed her out ama they literally were killing her!

Do not send your love ones here they are better off with out care than at delta it's sad the staff is rude unprofessional they lack to adequate staff to care for these patients not to mention prisoners are sent to this facility for mental care as well it's not a safe environment period! I have filed reports against them I hope it gets shut down!

Dr. Virk is the worst doctor Ive ever been to. They put me on medications that I told them I couldnt be on because I have only one kidney. Not one was my blood tested or taken. I asked for a pregnancy test while I was there and they just said I wasnt without issuing it. Extremely unprofessional Doctors. However, the nicest staff Ive ever met. I wouldnt suggest going there but if you have to the staff will help you a lot.

Delta Specialty Hospital is a toxic environment for mentally ill patients. Most of the nurses and techs are toxic and rude. Don't bring your loved ones here. They are lazy and don't want to do their jobs. They say "I'm not going to do this, I'm not going to do that, or do it yourself to the patients."They have no patience or respect for the patients, to me, the patients on the third floor have more patience and respect for the workers than they do the patients.

They ignored the patients in need, even the doctors ignore your request for any help(this is not my experience, this is what I witnessed, it happened to two patients on more than one occasion at least ten times or more). Even a paramedic guy warned me at the door, how the workers are and that's sad btw that was my first time ever being there!

Was once yrs.back a good hospital. It was clean with good staff. Since that time as of today it is a corporate profit business with board members i suspect only knowing and caring about the assets and debits. Its understood that any health organization must make enough to pay for good staff and maintain. People its a pitifull place to be for help mentally or for drugs.

The rehab for drug patients being pretty much thrown in with ones mentally ill. On the same floor just down the hall. I witnessed mentally ill patients not bathed, nasty clothing, walking down the hall to join with ones in drug rehab looking for a caring person to comfort them. Feeling sorry for them is not saying enough my feelings i had for them being treated un humane. Mentally ill patients not having mind enough to complain or file a complaint against their treatment.

In the rehad units the beds consist of 4 inch foam with plywood under support. Lying on it you sink to the hard plywood bottom. I saw patients 300 lbs hadicapped in wheelchairs having to sleep in these. Only one room on floor having two hospital type beds. They were old proberly being hand me downs from the hospital there. This is only what i saw, knowing others have more to tell. Delta medical is a nasty unclean enviroment who anyone can see, but nothing done to correct this being a medicare pay type facility.

Its not the rehabs seen on tv with a ocean view. Sad part ones honest in cleaning there life up will never do here. I ask cant there be better for the ones not wealthy to go that are decent, clean, with caring staff? The staff moral here is as low at it gets. Which reflects back to the patient care. Patients in this rehab actually care for other patients. Pushing there wheelchairs to eat etc: Some due to being under staffed, some due to staff members who has taken this as a normal day. Truthfully i speak, not to complain as much as want to make a change. Anyone else knowing the neglect here please post.

DO NOT GO HERE FOR SHORT TERM DISABILITY! These people will tell you that they can't do short term disability but will not legally explain to you why that is. I first called asking why this is and they immediately put me on hold expecting me to just take their claim that we don't do it and hang up.

I am not happy with Delta Hospital, my spouse was a patient at this hospital and when he was released he was very sick. He was not this way when he was admitted to Delta hospital. I kept telling them something was wrong with my husband and they did not listen. When he left this hospital he was admitted to St. Francis ICU in very bad shape. If I had not gotten him out of this place he would have died.

I do not know what medications they were giving him, but he has not been the same since. I will not give you one star, your staff is difficult to deal with and you can not get any information once you are lock up in there. If you take any personal items they will lose them. You need new management.

I worked here for a period of time recently. They do not know when they have great employees in front of their face. I feel a 90 day probationary period at a hospital like this, should not exist, as they are fast to fire employees without hearing two sides. I was the only white tech there, and I feel like this had something to do with it. Good thing the probationary period covered you guys or I would be after this hospital for wrongful termination.

I always showed up on time, and wanted to work, even while in school. There was nothing I did wrong. An employee, just didn't like me and they had taken her side, without conducting a proper investigation. I was in management, until I wanted to better myself and go back to school and this is a sad excuse for management. I learned if you have a great, hard working employee, you do not let them go.

A majority of the employees, doing checks and vitals are completely lazy and incompetent, if that is who you guys want around the people admitted, then go ahead. Whomever the owner is needs to fix or get rid of the management and some in human resources there. They should be employees, not managers, as the organization skills lack as well. Hopefully, I hear from the owner to get this fixed and rectified, because it was none of my doing for termination. Maybe there is a reason, why you guys have a low star rating. When I managed, the stars never, went below a 3.5, if it did I would fix what was happening Thanks.

My experience at Delta was terrible. The staff stole my personal belongings upon intake and did not provide assistance in trying to help locate my things. Brittany (the RN) gave me the complete runaround when i called about my property. She stated that a guy by the name of Tony was supposed to give me a call back concerning these complaints--but never did.

I called Delta again today and the staff was well coerced by someone to ignore my allegation. I feel that my rights as a patient was violated and something needs to be done about it. Another thing, while i was a patient (during 09/11 through 09/25) my food trays were contaminated with hair and other life threatening debree. I really feel that this untalented hospital should no longer exist; but since Delta refuses to answer and comply with in and outpatient complaints, i suggest that i should seek a higher chain of command--which was not granted to me at all.

I don't like Delta Medical Center. Please help me in getting some justifiable help regarding these issues and terrible incidents that have occurred lately. Thank you all for supporting this proper cause.
