Terribly unprofessional. Waited 3 months for scheduled appointment and showed up for the appointment yesterday and was told the appointment had been canceled and I needed to re-schedule.?

Worst bedside manner ever! Uncommunicative, rude staff. I asked for a biopsy of the skin on the back of my hand. Should have required only a small piece of skin, but he pulled out a razor blade and sliced off a piece larger than a quarter that took two months to heal. I will never go back. See anyone but this quack! Recently had a recurring mole on my face.

Primary doc wanted to refer me to dermatologist. I told her ANYONE BUT HIM! Said she'd heard that before but wouldn't put it in the notes. I told her she should. Shouldn't send ppl where they'll be unhappy.

Dr Labreque actually changed my life. I am a 57 year old male who developed late in life psoriasis. I also had developed around 3-4 cysts the size of goofballs on my shoulder, thigh, and right bicep. Furthermore, it was found I had early signs of sun damage on my face that was to me more severe than I had anticipated. Dr. Labreque begin with the facial issue and within a few months, that damage was repaired.

Next we attacked my psoriasis. This was difficult. He professionally worked through each step, trying to find what would help me maintain a life with my psoriasis under control. When it became clear that on Cosentyx, an injectable medication might possibly help, we went down that direction. Not only did he help me get in a program to help cover my medication costs, but he insured that an office aid would take care of most of the process and paperwork. Cosentyx absolutely cleared almost 100% of my severe psoriasis. Finally, with his precision in surgery, each of my cysts were painlessly removed.

Not one ever hurting or having any issues. Not only that, but he insured that a tattoo I had was saved and methodically lined back up. I say he save my live which in fact I feel he did. He saved me from a life of uneasiness and looking and feeing odd and uncomfortable. Dr Labreque is a kind and caring doctor. He is extremely knowledgeable in dermatology and has vast years of training and procedures that completely made me feel amazing.

He has a unique and fun humor that some may find a bit abrupt. But trust me, you wouldn't want anyone else handling your care. He's honest and straight to the points it comes from a place of truly wanting to help. From beginning to today he consistently make me feel like he truly cares for my happiness as a patient. He also took the time to get to know me as a person and is not one of those in and out doctors.

He spends quality time, meticulous note taking and drawing up a strategy that we followed to my successful ending. Dr Labreque is an amazing doctor and individual. I wish you all the very best.

This used to be a great office to go to. I've been bringing my son here for the last 4 years when he had a gnarly diaper rash. The physician assistant there at the time was amazing. I took my son in for a rash on his face we've been fighting for almost a year now, since Covid has started and this last time I went in with my 4 year old and 2 year old in tow, I was informed that we weren't allowed to the back due to their current covid policy that only allows the patient and parent in the back.

I was never informed of this policy and it reduced me to tears because my son was sitting here with painful blisters in his face and offered zero compassion from the staff. I asked the receptionist to ask her manager if an exception could be made and was told no because if the exception was made for me they would have to make it for everyone else.

I then asked if they would ask the provider who we were scheduled to see if she could make an exception, after waiting in the lobby for over an hour while multiple people came in and out putting myself and my children at risk, the physician assistant came out and gave me a nod of approval. We were finally allowed to check in after seeing a patient walk around the lobby without her mask on and told nothing.

Once in the back, I was chastised for not following a policy I knew nothing about. The communication with the front office staff is poor and it left me reduced to tears because I felt helpless for my child in that hour of waiting and I felt disrespected as a person due to a lack of communication and being blamed for it. I've been bringing my toddler with me to appointments for the last year and was never told anything about this policy.

Oh and the blisters on my child's face was caused by the medication he was prescribed by the physician assistant but was blamed on his use of fluoride toothpaste. I'm hoping this skin condition will resolve and our follow up will be our last visit with this practice. No one should ever be made to feel the way this doctor's office made me feel.

After continually being rescheduled, not faxing my prescriptions to my pharmacy and the last straw was showing up for an appointment only to be told that dr wasn't in that day even though I received a reminder text two days before. I finally decided to find another doctor. Doctors need to realize, their practice is nothing without a good staff.

This place is an even not worth a one star but I had no choice because I wanted to warn people they say they call you they do not call you and that's the Regulation that they put on their clients yet they don't call you and they shove you off so I would not ever recommend anyone go to them the doctor was nice but the staff sucks so bad

Second post as my first was taken down. my first experience here, I was seen for some moles and was told I had problematic moles. They scheduled a month out to have them removed but were able to schedule an elective surgery I paid for a couple days later. a month later, I am called the morning of the appointment and told my appointment will be scheduled out another month out.

Very frustrating as having problematic moles are stressful, not knowing if they are cancerous or not. Additionally, after my elective surgery I would not stop bleeding after I got home. I called to ask what I should do and was told a nurse would get back to me. Nobody ever got back to me. I called receptionist to try and get in contact with the physicians assistant that was to do the procedure to address concerns I had about the procedure. Wes told my info would be passed on and would be contacted and nobody ever called me.

I made an appointment for my son, who is diabetic. When I made this appointment I told them that he is diabetic and already had an infection on this leg due and his Pediatrician referred him to this office. Apparently, they called during the madness of distance learning school supplies pick up days and I didn't see the message on my answering machine.

I did confirm appointment but they already canceled his appointment. If they had told me to please confirm the appointment 24-48 hours before the appointment, I would have. I took off work, made arrangements for my son to miss his zoom meeting with his teacher. I am beyond disappointed with this office. Unless, this problem is resolved, I will tell anyone who listens to avoid this office at all cost! I know a lot of people. I just need 2 mins for the Dr. to look at his leg. to see if it can wait another month to be seen!

Failed to address a man's issue and my concerns during my visit. We are not on the battle field. We are in Santa Maria and an initial visit is more than 2 months long after the scheduled request. The receptionist on duty that day cannot grasp medical terminology nor three syllable words connecting a thought thus making a complete sentence is clueless.

The extensive questionnaire is outstanding; however, it had no box to check for those who suffer from high blood pressure and the sheet resembles a mimeograph paper reminding me of grade school back in 1960s. This is only compounded by the PA's outdated knowledge of what's covered by CenCal's & the careless attitude of the intake nurse present that day who said put this robe on, but it was a disposable pillow case.

The experience left me aghast. No therapy needed nor ambulance chasers needed at all, but focus on the medical matter and my concerns. However retrieving my file for my provider today and a month later (some how a doctor's referral to a specialist would not warrant a reply and I believe Penn & Teller was going to reveal it during a televised event in the form of question) for my annual check up was done professionally and with courtesy. Kudos to that lady and those medical professionals who cover for the lackeys interloping in the medical community.

Pulled in the parking lot to look at google maps for directions. When the this man in a low budget suit rudely told us we were trespassing, used profanity, treated us like we trash. My wife is a school teacher and we were just getting off the street to look at google maps. We're new to the area and looking for a place to rent. There's many of ways to talk to people, and he obviously has no clue. He's lucky he didn't get punched in the face! Worst person on earth

I would never recommend this office simply due to their lack of customer service. I have been waiting for my appointment for almost 3 months. My appointment is tomorrow. I didn't get a confirmation so I decided to call myself. Only to find out that someone named Marissa decided to cancel my appointment WITHOUT my knowledge because they didn't receive the proper form from my insurance even though the appointment couldn't even be booked without.

Now they are telling me that I need to fix THEIR mistake and get the paperwork myself. Such lousy service. Train your staff & teach them how to communicate with your clients/patience. Why would you ever cancel someone's appointment without telling them? So unprofessional!

This Dr. Possess an in-depth knowledge about his profession and has a wealth of experience. He is a thorough and meticulous professional who will accept only perfection in his work. I give Doctor Labrecque my highest recommendation.

Went here as a young teen and he was always angry with me and I refused to do anything he told me. Even though I still have acne I will never return I'd rather drive to Santa Barbara for other services. He would always give me stuff that would burn my skin making me not want to use it.

Do not recommend for the dermatologist. VERY unprofessional to cancel a babies appointment the day before after waiting over 2 months to get in. Staff is not friendly or helpful. Don't waste your time.

The office manager Elisabeth had left me a message over a week ago regarding my son's medication. Since then I have left five messages and she has not returned any. I asked her to please return my call since it was dealing with my son's medication, but I guess that was not important for her to return my call. The customer service is just not there. I do not recommend this place if you want your calls returned soon or at all.

Honestly, I wish I could give negative stars. Yesterday, 5/18/17 was the worst experience I've had at Derma Spa in Pismo Beach. My appointment was at 11:00 am, I got called and waited for forty minutes to be seen. That's waaaay too long, sorry. The doctor and his annoying assistant came in, not sure of her name, but she has that annoying high pitch valley girl voice and is totally rude.

I didn't hear a, "Thanks for waiting. Sorry." Then, I was interested in buying one of their products. Their products aren't cheap, and I asked the annoying valley girl if it didn't work out if I could return it. She then proceeded to give me attitude and be rude and said, "It's not going to work like magic, okay?!" Worst staff ever. Never returning ever. Everyone has a stick up their ass. The end.

I just finished my first appointment with the PA, Julia McKenzie, in the Pismo Beach office. I was very impressed by her and received an excellent thorough examination. Don't know why there are so many bad reviews for this office. I couldn't have asked for better care. All the employees that I came in contact with were very nice and helpful.

*couldn't find location. Apple maps wasn't much help but the only location was listed in Santa Maria but there is one in pismo. * minimal visitor parking, hard to find "suite" *once inside was called quickly and taken to my room * doctor didn't wash/clean hands when walking into the room nor did she introduce herself *she didn't look at my scalp just asked if I had any moles I was aware of on my scalp (note: I cannot see my head through my eyes) * a male nurse came in without prior permission (mother was angry) *told me I don't get miles after 35 which my mom said is false she is older than 35 and she still gets new moles. *did not have bandaids simply stuck a gauze pad with adhesive my mother asked for tape over it.

The doctor said that the gauze had adhesive. And it fell off when going to put my clothing back on * had a form asking for credit card number if we did not show up for an appointment in the future * bathroom was outside and it was raining and I came back soaked. Bathroom didn't smell that great either. *no Neosporin samples *didn't give a paper on care for moles after she said she would. * called for directions on how to get their and I didn't get great directions.

I am a senior citizen with a pretty major skin issues that I won't go into detail. All I was trying to do was change from my current Dermatologist to a new Dermatologist because I had moved. 1+months just to get an appointment. I did not see the Dr. only a PA Tressa Esty. I will not be going back! I will drive 45 min each way to my old Doctor.

I found PA Tressa Esty to be cold and uncaring. Insensitive to my condition or my needs. Unwilling to do anything to insure I didn't have a lapse in my bi-weekly treatment. like make a call to my old doctors office. "NO we won't do that". My prescriptions need prior authorization every 2 weeks. For them to do that they would charge me a $25 extra paperwork processing fee. "office policy" she must have said 4 times.

Without care to the fact that I am on Medical because I am unable to wk. Basically. So sad to bad. Office Policy. Come to find out my old Dr had already done my prior authorization. If she had just taken the time to call my old Dr. to set up a transition plan she would have known that. But "NO we don't do that. She didn't seem to give a sh@#$ about me.

Would not do nothing to help me make the transition. Maybe they make so much money off the Spa part of their business that they don't really want real patients with real medical problems. I would not recommend this office at all.

This is a review after my first and only visit to DermaSpa MED so far. I was concerned about the many bad reviews, but I had no choice, as this was the only dermatologist in my HMO. I am happy to say I was impressed from the moment I walked in at 1pm. I was immediately given all the forms to fill out, and I was seen as soon as I finished filling them out.

The physician assistant I saw was great. She gave me a thorough exam, changed my prescription, and assured me that from now on she would recommend a skin exam every year. Everyone was friendly and professional, no waiting, the office was clean, I felt confident that I received good medical care, and I was relieved to finally know I don't have skin cancer. And my co-pay was only $10! Even the parking was great. I hope in the future I don't have any of the bad experiences other reviewers have had.

This place is a joke. I waited an hour passed my appointment time! The time before that I waited forever, then they took me into the exam room just to wait another 30 minutes! Totally unprofessional! Will not come back. Both the offices in Santa Maria and pismo are way understaffed and over booked!

Not only is patient privacy not observed, but the reception staff are terribly rude. Several staff are very unhappy, I was even asked by one staff member if were I worked was hiring. Every time I have tried calling in, I am put on hold for at least ten minutes. They are very discourteous and seem unaware that there are other dermatologist in the area that you can see.

I have had experiences with both offices and I have not been impressed by either. Appointments are only scheduled sequentially, so If you need a late afternoon appointment because you work or need childcare, you could be waiting months. Terrible service. Remember, your customers are the reason you have a job.

Patient privacy not really observed in this office. Non-clinical staff try to "assess" as if they are nurses/doctors. And the number one fail is.the receptionist/appointment setter, Lilly/Lillian. So rude and condescending! Other booboos can be forgiven, but this lady must be fired. First impressions last. Customer service should be prioritized by the business owner.

Horrible horrible service so far and I haven't even seen a doctor yet. I called about a month ago wanting to make an appointment ahead of time since I have an HMO and was planning being referred shortly after. I was told I couldnt make an appointment until I was referrerd. I said I was planning ahead cause if it takes a month to get in I wanted to be proactive so I could get in ASAP and was told told NO. "They dont take that long".

I called today to make an appointment and they cant get me in until May 20th. Horrrible HORRIBLE service on their part. My face is breaking out extremely bad and having to wait another month seems like a lifetime. Things are not looking good so far. I miss Dr. Moats :

Andreea Martin came highly recommended for both facial and body massage. I had a special occassion coming up and had not had a facial in over 10 years so did not know what to expect. The Spa itself is lovely and the staff all are friendly and there is no wait for your appointment time. Andreea was a delight. She made me feel comfortable helped me pick out which facial would be appropriate for my skin type and age.

I had the "ageless Facial" was is a 75 mintue very relaxing treatment with wonderful natural products. I could not get over the immediate improvement in the appearance of my skin! I was so pleased that I have had follow up facials and am ready for a series of Glycolic Acid peel that she has on special. I also asked her advice on some foundation make up as I have not had luck finding just the right type. She tried several on me and I wound up getting a mineral type that I am very happy with. I can not say enough good things about Andreea and her attention to her clients.

I found out about dermaspa med a little more than a month ago after someone at work made a comment about my skin. Basically, my acne was bad enough that I wore make-up to the gym - which made matters worse. Anyways, I was treated by one of the nicest specialists and I'm just happy about the fact that I'm already seeing results in my skin :

Andreea Martin came highly recommend to me when I had an upcoming special occasion and I wanted to look my best. I had only one facial previously and that was over 10 years ago in another city so I did not know what to expect. The actual Spa is very nice, all the staff is pleasant and there is never a wait for your appointment time. The the massage room is warm and relaxing.

Since that first facial I have been fortunate to have had wonderful facials with Andreea at Derma Spa. She helped me choose the right treatment for my skin type and age which was the Ageless Facial. It is a 75 minute very relaxing treatment with the very Zen professional and personable Andreea while she does her treatments. I was so pleased to see a marked difference in my skin tone and texture after leaving the Spa that I promised myself I would take advantage of the specials she has every couple of months.

I am looking forward next to her Glycolic Acid peel series that will hopefully help with too much sun in my youth. I can not say enough good things about Andreea and the facials she has given, I would have them monthly if I could!

I just finished my first laser treatment with Tuyet at DermaSpa MED (Dr. Labreque's office) and am very happy with my treatment and results. The office is nice, clean and the staff are all very courteous. My aesthetician, Tuyet, was gentle, thorough and very clear in her instructions and explanations. She was also very quick with the procedure, but took plenty of time in the aftercare to make sure I was doing fine and not having bad reactions.

I can't express enough how grateful I am to have had such a good experience! Tuyet has many years of experience with lasers and at least a decade working at this office - that level of experience is important to me! Oh, and another big deal with doctor's offices are always the wait times. I'm happy to say that my (morning) appointment started exactly on time and there was no delay.

When I went in for my consultation, I did wait a little while to see the doctor, but maybe that's because it was late in the afternoon (and probably their last appointment of the day). Overall, very, very happy with my experience.
