Doctor Kara is amazing! I've been seeing Doctor Kara since she first opened and hadn't thought about writing a review until I saw one from Sally. I don't think Sally knows what she is talking about if she is a real person, but it made me mad. Everything Doctor Kara says on her forms and on here web site says she is a nurse practitioner with a PhD. I don't know what confused Sally so much. A PhD is a doctor. Several years ago my husband and I went to a counselor with a PhD in psychology and she called herself Doctor too. Oh, and she charged $225.00 canceling an appointment if she didn't have enough time to give that appointment to someone else. We had to cancel one time because my husband couldn't get off work in time to get there. I understand why people have to charge fees like that. The counselor explained to me that the time I book is reserved for me and nobody else can use it. The counselor said that she frequently had people not show up at all without even calling. She said that it happened so much that she had to start charging people up front when they made the appointment! I know people like that- people who can't keep an appointment or don't care, and then get mad if you complain that you had to wait for them. Anyway, back to Doctor Kara. My family has seen Doctor Kara several times since she opened. On one visit, she was running a few minutes late. I didn't even notice, Doctor Kara always offers me a drink and a snack and her office is so peaceful. She said that my visit was free. She was only 7 minutes late. She has seen me at home when I had sick kids and she was right on time. I love house calls! What is so amazing about Doctor Kara is the time she spends with me and my family. She asks questions nobody else has ever asked me and really follows through with treatments. I think by now she knows more about my health than I do. Before Doctor Kara, I'd have to wait forever in the waiting room and then the doctor, assistant, or nurse practitioner would spend maybe 10 minutes, and charge me $105! With Doctor Kara, she would spend half-an-hour with me for less than that, and I think I get better health care. I have insurance now since my husband changed jobs, but I still see Doctor Kara. It is easy enough to send in my own insurance forms. That is easy enough to do and I don't mind. With my old doctor, I'd have to wait forever in the waiting room and in the exam room and he never made house calls. One thing about my old doctor, I had a couple of things to see him about and one of my kids was sick too. He wanted me to make a separate appointment for each problem! On one occasion, Doctor Kara took care of two things for me and two of my kids in one appointment! It was an hour-and-a-half visit and worth every penny. I really can't think why someone would say anything negative about Doctor Kara. I wish there were a lot more of her to go around so the rest of my family out of town could get that kind of health care.
