When in at my doctors recommendation for care my doctor did not provide and had the receptionist loudly broadcast my medical business to everyone in the waiting room. over an hour wait. I would not recommend this practice.

I implore you to seek other options. I've never had a great experience with any Doctors Care, but this place is particularly rough. Furthermore, after not visiting for several years, I was told I owed money from several visits years prior. I paid the amount owed on both visits and never received any bill, phone call, email or carrier pigeon about these supposed charges.

When I inquired about the where's and why's of these bills, all I got was "I don't know" and then "if you pay $100 today we will let you see the doctor". That's a scam. A quick google search tells me they were indicted on charges of insurance fraud just a year ago. Yeah, I believe it. The kicker is, I was just trying to get a simple Covid test. The lady at the front desk says my insurance isn't "active" and she "can't authorize my insurance".

My insurance is employer provided, and is a major insurance company. Upon, ya know, CALLING THE NUMBER ON THE INSURANCE CARD, turns out my insurance was fine. Instead, I was told it would be a couple hundred dollars for a Covid test. Like I said, scam. There's a CVS clinic like ten minutes from here. Just go there instead.

DO NOT GO HERE! This place is the worst doctors office I have ever been to. I was charged $450 for them to perform a Covid test and a flu test and for the doctor to come in and put her stethoscope on the outside of my jacket and to go home and rest.

This is the only Doctors Care in the area that has an x-ray machine. When I broke my right hand, they got me in and out and the nurse was reassuring, comforting, and even made me laugh. : They recommended a couple of orthopedic doctors, including one that takes walk-ins. If I ever need to go to an urgent care center and need an x-ray again, I'm definitely coming here.

This is the worst place ever. DO NOT GO HERE. Pretty sure this is a front for people to get disability checks. I waited 40 minutes sick to my stomach puking in a bag for them to tell me my insurance doesn't cover a checkup and that I would have to pay 135 dollars to be seen. They could have told me that the minute I gave them my insurance card, but instead I sat there and watched 5 people come in and out get papers signed for workers comp. Are there even real doctors here?

This place does not feel like they have adequate doctors that care about their patients. My time with the doctor was no more than 5 minutes and it felt rushed. I am almost certain that I have the flu because I have had about 100 colds in my life and not one has made me feel as bad as I currently am. Also some of the symptoms I have are not symptoms of the common cold which I think the doctor just ignored when I tried to tell her.

I paid a $75 copay for the nurse to check my temperature and blood pressure as well as the doctor checking my ears and breathing. The doctor told me that I just have a cold which I do not think is accurate. They were also out of flu tests which I was aware of before paying the copay, but it does not make sense for the doctor to treat me like I have a cold when this flu is going around so much they don't have any more tests.

I understand that you can't diagnose me with the flu without the test, but I wish the doctor would've taken me more serious and at least seem like they care. The doctor told me that I was already doing a good job with my treatment as I told her I was taking mucinex. She also instructed me to take nyquil as well. I think that it is ridiculous that I had to pay a $75 copay (with fairly well health insurance) and maybe even a deductible for them to do absolutely nothing that I couldn't have done myself.

The only reason why I gave them 2 stars is because the staff seemed friendly. However the lady at the front desk when printing out my doctors note said that I will be able to return to my normal activities such as class and work a day later which I definitely cannot.

I went in on Friday, 8/6 with my 2 children. (Youngest 18mo old coughing and stuffy nose, and myself coughing and stuffy nose). They tested both my toddler and myself for Covid and it came back negative. Toddler has an ear inf so we went to drive through to pick up Rx for that. Toddler hasn't been sleeping well, bc of his cough and etc. (which means mama isn't sleeping well). Went back to dr Care today, 8/10, with my 2 children again. Youngest is 90% better but my 10yr old and myself are now congested and have sore throats (from sinus drainage) I'm tired bc I'm not sleeping well. Well, they come in wearing what looks like hazmat outfits and said we are presenting signs of Covid. (So basically Dx before testing).

They tested my 10yr old and I for both Covid and strep and hers came back Neg but only Covid came back positive for myself. Dr said my lungs are clear and throat is fine. I argued with her bc I told her I hadn't been anywhere and that I felt fine, other than the sinus inf I wants antibiotics for. I left Dr Care not believing the results, and got tested again at Walgreens.

Wouldn't you know it's Negative! I called dr care and told them that according to the cdc website, I can challenge the test. The nurse told me that the cdc doesn't recommend getting tested more than once a day. Then offered me to come back and get tested again.?!?!? When I agreed to come back, she then told me that the dr couldn't test me again bc my Ins wouldn't allow 2 visits in 1 day.

So I told her if be back in the morning. And we hang up. She calls me back a few min later and tells me that the dr now says that I can come back today and get tested again. (Are you confused yet)? Well, after her telling me that the CDC doesn't recommend getting tested twice in 1 day, then offering me a 3rd test after going back and forth with me in a span of about 15 min, I've decided to keep my negative results, and contact the CDC/DHEC to see what their protocol is when dr offices are giving conflicting information. This is why they are only getting a 1 star review bc I can't give a ZERO star review.

Upon entering we immediately were asked what we were in there for, loudly. Whole waiting room quiet as could be all staring because there's nothing else to do. Why do the people at the front desk feel the need to ask why a patient is being seen today in front of everyone in a quiet waiting room. It's no one else's business. That's why you fill out the paperwork.

It needs to be discreet. I am disgusted and aggravated by today. It wasn't even for me and I was so furious. There needs to be privacy! What if I was in there thinking I was having a miscarriage, the whole entire waiting room would know. That is not ok and I'm so sad about the situation For my husband. He has a uti and was peeing blood and he was embarrassed about it already so to see the look in his face when he had to announce why then put my hormones in overload I had to walk out I was angry, upset, and all of the emotions you could have. I know I am probably overreacting but I feel like there's a reason you fill paperwork out answering why you came to see the doctor.

I have been here several times over the past few years and have always received excellent medical care. So I do highly recommend them.

The only reason I am giving this place 1 star is because of the woman that owns the practice. Everything else about this place is awful. There is absolutely no communication within the employees that work there, not to mention the customer service is shockingly bad especially over the phone. They will double charge you a copay without telling you and then literally guess why once you call them and ask about it.

They will never admit that a mistake was made in their part they just want the money. They also will tell you a negative test result when you're in there then call you days later saying that it's actually positive and tell you to stop taking the medicine you've been taking for days for the wrong diagnosis. Only go there if you want to be extremely disappointed and misguided.

Waited from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm trying to see a doctor. Thought Doctors Care was instituted to offer a streamlined health care system in leu of the overblown hospitals and emergency care facilities. NOT so I find out. Left Doctors Care, unseen by a doctor and went to Providence Hospital, a 10 minute drive. Was seen by a nurse within 5 minutes and a doctor within 25 minutes. Dictators Care has lost not only a customer but also an advocate. I'm done with Doctors Care!

*** Avoid for COVID testing *** I was told initially that had I to pay $150 cash for a COVID test because I had no symptoms, even know I informed them I was exposed. I advised them that my insurance, which that they absolutely except, has pre-approved proactive testing. Then they changed their narrative and told me they don't even test people without symptoms.

I offered to contact my insurance for them to provide proof, but they still denied me service. I asked how they could possibly refuse me a test and they literally said it wasn't a refusal, just that they couldn't provide a test!? It felt like they were running some kind of racket, seem almost criminal. I'll be following up with a formal complaint for sure.

I read many of the previous comments. This Urgent must have had some serious issues at one time. I have been there twice, once about a year ago and yesterday for a piece of glass in my foot. A year ago they were fine and took care of me well. Yesterday the service was terrific. I was seen first by the nurse who did all the vitals, and then the nurse practitioner Judith Heintz.

She was not only efficient in finding and removing a small piece of glass, but also compassionate and friendly. A real pleasure. The entire staff was excellent. I realize that being an Emergency care facility, sometimes there may be a wait, the same as emergency rooms in hospitals, but I found they all do their very best to take care of everyone. Thank you.

They worked me in. I felt horrible so I went home and they called me back in. I had an abcessed tooth and was in considerable pain. The doctor was absolutely wonderful. The nurse was kind, compassionate, and great. The front desk employees, however, are lacking. They are a little on the rude side and just do not reflect the care and compassion from the rest of the staff. They need a course in patient care.

AWFUL! Went into the Shelby Ray Court West Ashley location. Needed a renewal on scrip I've been taking for years and briefly stopped for about 8 months to give my body a break. Had bloodwork done I month after having been ON scrip for over a year. Came back clear and was still valid when trying to renew the scrip 7 months later (meds free mind you). Gave me the scrip, but refused to set up refills! Kept saying I had to come in for follow-up visit and bloodwork, have been through this FOUR times in as the past few months. RIDICULOUS! All they want is money, so they keep making you come back for "follow-ups". DONE! Not as convenient, but I'll be going to a REAL doctor from now on.

This is the worst place, the receptionist is as dumb as a stick, God help her if she had to hurry. Waited 3 hours to see a doctor 3 mins. One person in and when they finally came out, 30 mins later, one went in. I am completely dissatisfied. No one cares there, so if you think you want to take your family there, think again. Go to CVS, at least the time they tell you is your time, is really the truth. Doctors care it will be 15 minutes and we will bring you back, 3 hours later we're done and yes it was the flu and no one even asked us to put on a mask, while we sat in a room with a lot of people ill!

We will not go back and this will show up everywhere in Little River, I intend to post as much as possible to shut this place down. Doesn't need to be here if they aren't going to help!

We were visiting relatives from out of town and decided to go to Doctors Care when my 3 year old son developed croup. We got there just as they opened, and only had to wait for one person ahead of us to be seen. The tech that brought us back was amazing, and made my son feel comfortable. He took his time and played around with him while he took vital signs.

The doctor was equally great, and my son enjoyed playing with him while he was examined. I was a little nervous about not taking him to see a pediatrician, but I would definitely recommend taking children there for care, especially if they are in from out of town and can't see their regular pediatrician.

Efficient and clean. Normal wait time. Home in 1.5 hr. Prescription ready at pharmacy by time I reached house. Will use again if need arises. I have been a nurse for over 30 years and based on my treatment I will recommend to friends.

If I could give a zero I would. Forget patient confidentiality. They just yell out your reason for being there. Manager Alison was as rude as her front desk staff!

Poor customer service. Did not check vitals and did not provide the needed treatment. If you are sick or need medical treatment go somewhere else.

This was absoluteley the worst experience I've ever had at a Dotors office. There were four cars in the parking lot when I arrived. It took 3 1/2 hours to see a PA, not even a Doctor. I counted 6 people that went back to the exam rooms before I was called back. I'm not sure what they were doing in the back of the office, but it wasn't taking care of patients. Never again!

I have never written a review ever about anything. I have ate at restaurants that had bad service or the food was sub par. Stayed at hotels/resorts that did not live up to expectations. Contractors that did not do what was promised. NEVER wrote a review. Went here for a simple wellness exam. An exam that should take less than 15 min. I was there 1 1/2 hours when I finally walked out.

I could see if it were busy. I could see if I was there in a busy season. Nope. Me and one other family. To top things off, while waiting in the lobby for over 45 min. By myself. I decided to count all of the dead Palmetto bugs on the floor. Almost a dozen. This place needs a serious overhaul. If I ran my business like this I wouldn't have one.

They say urgent care but there is nothing urgent about them. Several months ago my wife was in there with my youngest daughter (2 years old with a bad cough)and she told me it took over 2 hours before she saw the Dr. ( I use that term loosely).

The YELP reviews were mixed but I was in need to care and was glad that I chose your facility in Little River. The system to notify you of where you are in the queue is a real plus and after showing up at the facility, I was told that my wait might be 40-60 minutes, but in actuality was less than 30 minutes. The receptionist was very helpful. The assistant was new, but very professional and helpful.

I was really pleased with the care received by Dr. Campbell. She was very thorough and explained the cause of my symptoms, asking relevant questions and prescribing medication after explaining her rationale. The staff helped me find the most convenient CVS store to pick up the medication. I am grateful for your service and would recommend you to those in need of it. Thanks.

Doctors Care at Little River is second to none. They are amazing from the front desk to the nursing staff to the wonderful doctors. They have helped me so many times. I can not say enough good things about them. Thank you all so much time and time again.

I have never been in such an unprofessional doctor's office in my entire life. During my time here, which was way too long for the amount of "nurses" sitting on their tails, I heard nearly everything about these ladies' lives including some vulgar language I did not wish to hear. Also some very person information about their partners, loud and clear.

Worst health care experience ever. My 18 old month was sick with a fever and sore throat. We arrived at around 2pm with one person in the lobby. Were not seen until after 4pm. Initially they told us we could not been seen there because of the type of insurance we have and we have United Health. We've never had problems with our insurance being rejected.

My son's prescriptions were supposed to be sent to CVS. My wife tried to pick them up that evening and they did not have them. I called the Urgent Care and was told that they did send them to CVS and that CVS needed to call them. Called CVS back and they told us the doctor would have to call them. A day later and my son is still sick with no medicine. We will never use this Urgent Care again.
