I have my worst experience with Dr count. My wife stayed in a hospital for 4 months and I felt I need to take her to a holistic doctor to help improve her situation. In the office, they sent us to a waiting room and we were waiting for the doctor for a very very long time. Eventually, he came in and spend ten minutes with us. For every of our question, he gave me a paper in return without any explanation: For example, I asked based on her situation what should she eat, then he gave me a general paper about all good foods in the earth.

My wife suffers from different symptoms and I wanted some specific instruction for her, but nothing specific. The funny part was that I have to ask before he gave us even that one paper. BUT IT IS NOT FINISHED YET. On our way out they charge us $225 for a full one hour consultant. I didn't pay attention to the bill because I had my sick wife and two small kids(one newborn) with me.

By the way, there was no one else in the office the whole time. And we were waiting. Then I called him multiple time and we exchange multiple emails and phone calls. I was shocked the way he responded. He spent more time than the time he was with us in the patient room, to leave me a voice message. I showed it to my colleague at the ffice and everyone was angry the way he respond.

At the end, I said I will leave you a review and suddenly he said I will give you back $100. I decided to leave this review because I don't want anyone else facing the same situation. By the way, this happened on 2015. Today I was cleaning my old docs and saw his invoice and decided to leave the review.

I have been a very satisfied patient of Dr. Counts for years. He is an excellent physician, providing a highly personalized level of care. Shanti D.'s review describes a surgical experience that is simply not a service offered by a family practice physician like Dr. Counts. I believe the reviewer is mistaking Dr. Counts for someone else. That is very unfortunate.

What a difference a Year(s) make. I have been going through old Files this evening and I came upon one from Donald R Counts, MD. When I went to see him it was 1994. The reason for my appointment was because I was born with a umbilical hernia. It had started hurting more than usual and it was time to have surgery. During my consultation with Dr. Counts I explained how scared I was about any type of surgery.

He told me to come in 30 minutes before surgery and he would give me something to relax. On the day of he arrived late. He told me it was too late to give me any kind of relaxant. My parents went with me (I was 25 years old). This was out patient surgery and instead of general anesthesia I was given local anesthesia. After he inserted the large needle near my belly button I started to go into panic mode.

I told him that I really needed to have my mom in the room to hold my hand. His answer.'you are an adult, you can handle this'. Not only was I distressed, scared, and awake, but he he INSISTED on showing me the cartilage that he had removed. I nearly passed out. I felt violated in some way. I remember that my awesome step father came in after the 'operation' and told DR. Counts that if he EVER needed to see me again, either him or my mom would insist on being present.

Not long after this ordeal my hernia came back. I went to another surgeon. He could not believe that I actually went thru this surgery while awake. The entire ordeal felt very cruel and careless. As I read recent reviews of Dr, Counts, it seems he has changed his ways, and is including wellness and holistic medicine within his practice. That is wonderful.

But I hope to NEVER go through the mediocre care that I was given. Kudos to your future Dr Counts, Shanti PS. Funny, I suffer from Panic Disorder, which I believed started around that time. The experience I had put me in panic mode, but now Dr. Counts his helping with this condition. Nice. full Circle
