Pilgrim Medical Center is a privately-owned abortion clinic in Montclair, New Jersey offering the highest level of safe, discreet abortion care. Our dedicated team of Board Certified and licensed gynecologists are some of the most experienced doctors in the practice of abortion. They all hold current and active admitting and surgical privileges at nearby hospitals. We are one of the few remaining licensed outpatient surgical centers in the state of New Jersey that specializes in abortion care through 24.6 weeks.
Services
To estimate the length of your pregnancy, enter the first day of your last period and then press 'calculate'. Once you have confirmed that you are pregnant, the next step is to explore your options. In order to do that, you need to determine the length of the pregnancy. Most physicians make this determination by measuring from the first day of your last menstrual period (LMP).
Have someone drive you to the facility and return to take you home after your appointment. For your convenience, phone counselors are on hand Monday thru Saturday from 8 AM to 3 PM to answer your questions and schedule appointments. A laboratory work-up will be done including blood analysis, RH typing, and urine and/or blood pregnancy test.
Important Patient Notifications must be reviewed by all patients prior to date of surgery. In accordance with CFR 416.50(a)(i) and CFR 416.5(a)(ii) all surgical centers must provide each patient with a Patient's Bill of Rights and Notification of Facility Ownership in advance of the date of surgery.
All abortion fees at Pilgrim Medical Center include lab work, counseling, ultrasound, anesthesia, surgery, and all necessary medications. If you have RH negative blood, there is an additional fee for Rhogam. Pilgrim offers a post-operative visit for a fee of $70. This visit includes initiation of birth control samples, and any basic medication that may be needed by the patient. We accept Medicaid and most major insurances upon verification by our insurance department and with valid picture identification.

Went in too a long time but they were very nice informative and caring. Once it's your turn everything moves fast. You have two options depending on how far long pill or surgery. I chose surgery and I had no pain and went to sleep fast. The anesthesia has you woozy but other than that I'm glad I chose them better than planned parenthood. Hope this helps another woman faced with a difficult decision.

My experience here was great! From upstairs when i got my ultrasound to downstairs. It took a while to get seen but my or nurse Yasmin was amazing. She didn't rush instead she took the time to explain the whole process to me! I thought everyone was going to be so judgmental but nope! Once i opened my eyes in the recovery room the young girl Annell was helping me with everything and she even helped me get dressed, hugged me and walked me out to my ride. Abortions aren't nothing to be happy about but I'm just glad i had supportive people surrounding me.

I had the surgical procedure done today and have nothing but great things to say. The staff were so so kind and warm I have to say I was very nervous going in but they were very informative on what would be happening step by step. They really listen to you and make sure your concerns are validated and resolved. Very professional and clean. If I could give more stars l would, just hours after I feel great.

I had a panic attack as I have anxiety and I wasn't allowed to bring the father even though I'm not supposed to be alone in groups. Don't apologize like your company did anything to accommodate my mental disability, when I even told the nurse I was having a panic attack and she didn't do a thing. If you can make accommodations for physical disabilities mine shouldn't be so hard. he wasn't a ride he's the father of the child!
I can't be alone in groups and when I made my appointment by call the nurse working could have done her job and say it had to be done alone! This place is very unprofessional and unwilling to help or make simple adjustments for people with disabilities. DO NOT GO HERE!

Very slow. Was told to come in for an 8am "appointment" if you could even call it that. Didn't leave until after 1pm. Dr Jenkins was extremely rude and inconsiderate to my situation, he made me feel horrible. I honestly would have left if I didn't already pay. The nurses were very friendly and much nicer though. Overall not a horrific experience but if I ever had to go again, I would look for a different clinic.

Lazy and minimal staff located at a nondescript building. The customer service is similar to the DMV in speed and efficiency, even making an appointment expect to wait for multiple hours after opening time. A nice feature are the dispicable old people guilting young women at the entrance to the building. Their confusing billing schemes and multiple card charges have me convinced this place is only concerned with hurding people through like cattles and I'd highly recommend getting imaging work done elsewhere so they can't fudge the number and end up charging you an extra few hundred dollars.

Edit: after looking online at insurance coverage I see this place doesn't accept Medicaid (which they conveniently leave off their website!) Planned Parenthood does offer coverage and would be a better alternative to this sketchy establishment

Horrible place went in on Saturday the Spanish girl in the front was giving discounts Claudia the big Spanish looking female I guess she didn't think I spoke Spanish cuase I'm dark the ultrasound Tec was so nasty it's said I just wanted to get done cuase I was gonna put hands on her the only people that was cool was my nurse Lauren and counselor the short one vanessa she had a nice ring and I think some of them are not even certified I think I'm gonna call someone to see only reason I came here cuase I did wanna drive

Not sure where all these negative reviews are coming from. Perhaps because the reason most people are there is inherently unpleasant it is transferring into the reviews? Not really sure but this facility is clean and safe and efficient. If you're looking for flowers and hand holding, look elsewhere. Personally, I like the no nonsense environment. I wasn't there to make friends.

The negligence of both this doctor and his staff nearly killed me when I was 17. Zero abortion after-care, no follow-up calls, and when I called their emergency number about severe pain and bleeding, I was told to take more pain medication. Two days later, ER doctors told me Campanella's D&C was incomplete and I would have bled to death within the week.
After I recovered I tried to reach out to him several times to discuss what happened and help stop it from happening to anyone else. No response. No human decency. Would never recommend anyone to see this doctor.
