I gave birth at NMC back in March to my first child. I had such a wonderful experience there! Kim was so wonderful during my labor and delivery! She was always so upbeat and made sure I was as comfortable as possible. Brandy was also so helpful, informative and caring during my postpartum stay! I was treated with such love, compassion and respect during my entire stay from my doctors, nurses, housekeeping and kitchen staff! I would recommend anyone to have their child at NMC!

I live in Houston, but my dad lives in Nacogdoches County and needed an ambulance while I was on the phone with him. I knew that dialing 911 would get emergency services in Houston, not one near him. I looked up NMC (I have taken him there in the past) and called hoping they would know what I should do. When I got the operator at NMC, the young girl who answered couldn't understand what I was asking.

She asked someone in the background who very rudely said, "Call 911." I explained that if I called 911 I would get Houston medical services. The older lady then got on the phone and was INCREDIBLY RUDE and seemed put out by my question. NMC operators should probably be trained to understand that sometimes the people on the other end of the line are calling them for actual help.

Train them that sometimes they will have to step outside their normal routine of routing calls, and prepare them to patiently deal with the anxiety and stress that comes from people on the other end of the phone who are having an actual emergency and don't know what to do. Yelling at the phone that they don't have ambulances and that I should dial 911 is an inappropriate response that wasted precious time.

From the moment of walking in the door the front desk nurse greeted me with such respect and kindness. Everyone was polite. But I definitely give the best all time high reward to the doctor, Dr. Nguyen was amazing. She really listened and you could tell she genuinely cared. And did everything to put my mind at ease, on top of speaking with my family doctor to inform her of what she found. Thank you to everyone, but a big thank you to Dr. Nguyen!

This is one of the best hospitals that I have ever stayed in. My nurses were extremely nice and the doctors as well. They tended to my every need with no questions asked. I would definitely recommend this hospital.

I am blown away at how well we were treated when we were at the Women's Center Labor and Delivery area. From check in to check out, every nurse was professional and went above and beyond. Then, once baby was born we had more wonderful nurses for myself and for baby. I am so beyond thankful for the care and love given during our stay!

My girlfriend was experiencing chest pains and sat in the waiting room from 8pm to 11:30pm and was handed discharge papers without ever being seen by a doctor. This is an absolute outrage and is completely unacceptable. The staff at this hospital was also abnormally rude to both myself and my girlfriend throughout our visit. Proper bedside manners and basic human kindness do not exist in this hospital. If you must use their services I recommend it only be as an absolute last resort.

The hospital has sent me the wrong bill 3 times now. I've confirmed THREE TIMES with my insurance company that my visit was covered. My insurance company has also sent the correct bill to the hospital with benefits applied TWICE yet the hospital has sent me the bill without my insurance applied several times. I've called and spoke with the billing department telling them that my claim was approved, gave them the claim number, and all of my info but can't seem to get the correct bill sent.

It's been so long that I've been dealing with trying to correct this issue that soon my bill will hit collections and will ruin my credit. I refuse to pay a dime to this incorrect bill! I won't ever be coming back to this hospital no matter how bad the situation.

Very slow and doesn't seem like attentive care was given to anyone in the emergency room area. Our room had a large hole in the sheetrock wall, droplets of someone else's blood on the wall, left over sticky patches from the previous patient and a needle on the floor. For what we pay for medical care this is pretty lack luster to say the least. The state should step in as I feel like all of these issues are basic things that patients should not have to walk into when they are ill or injured.

Today was my first visit to this hospital for an ultrasound test requested by my personal physician. The norm for me with any medical visit is to wait, wait, and continue to wait for the service you are seeking. The Doctors and medical facilities in Nacogdoches are a pleasant surprise at not being that way. And not the case here based on my experience this morning.

The test normally takes about 40 minutes to perform. It was scheduled for 10:00am and I was asked to come in for 9:30am. As always I am on time. Everyone I came in contact with was so nice to me. And the most professional and friendly lady performed the test. Connie was not only very competent but also took the time to explain what was about to happen and what was happening during the procedure.

It was so pleasant considering I was going through a medical test. Never had to wait long to be checked in or to have the ultrasound start. Appointment was for 10:00am and I was out of there by 11:00am. A Five Star experience for sure.

I had to go to the hospital several times during my pregnancy for high blood pressure and potassium issues. The staff was the best nurses I never had a worry while there. I've worked in different medical fields of different varieties and I'd recommend everyone use nacogdoches medical center! When I had to be induced they were super supportive and informative about everything. I was a little nervous being my first child but they took all that nervousness away.

Honestly, I would go to a different town. It is very clear that this hospital does not abide by the Hippocratic Oath that states: I will treat the ill to the best of my ability. My grandmother, 64 years old, fell head first on the pavement outside of the apartment I am staying at. Her head was bleeding profusely and she was having tremendous pain in her left shoulder.

She was rushed to ER in an ambulance and put into a room at 10:58 am. The nurse took her vitals after several failed attempts which increased my grandmothers discomfort. We were then told to wait. At this point she had dried blood all over her face, in her hair, and on her knees which was largely neglected throughout the entire stay. My grandmother was to the point of wailing when I went to track down a nurse to give her something to ease the pain in her shoulder.

I went to the nurses station where I was condescendingly told to wait for the doctor, even though we could both hear my grandmas cries down the hall. She was not given any pain medication until 11:57 am almost an hour after arrival and it was only 10 mg of morphine. Ten minutes later she was taken to x-ray by herself. She told me that they treated her extremely roughly, and were very reluctant to offer any aid in moving her from one bed to another and tried to force her to do it herself, even though she was in obvious pain.

To make the case worse when the x-rays came back they showed that her shoulder was broken. When they found out she was uninsured, they all but pushed us out of the hospital. She has heart conditions that make it difficult for her to work so she is unable to afford it. However, she will be receiving medicaid August 1st of 2018. Which covers medical bills up to three months prior to that date.

She continued to be in severe pain, and they still had not administered care to her open wounds. In under twenty minutes they forced and when I say forced, I mean forced, an arm brace on her. They finally gave her another shot for the pain after moving the injured arm causing her to scream out repeatedly. Then they barely swiped down her face and knees with a wipe and stuck a band-aid over them.

We had to take the wipes and clean her of excess blood ourselves. After that they threw her into a wheel chair, made her sign some papers, and removed her. As soon as we got in the car to go her head injury had opened up and blood was pouring down her face. I wanted to take her back, but she refused due to how she was treated. If I could rate negative stars, I would.

I am truly disgusted with the way this was handled. If this is the kind of care I should expect for not having insurance, then my heart truly goes out to everyone out there who can not afford it.
