I felt that I was in good hands if an excellent doctor from the very beginning. I had had an eye stroke when my husband died. Through injections and eye drops My vision improved. I still have some issues but I can see so much better.

I was amazed that when I went to sign in, all I had to do was place my ID and insurance card on this machine and they already had my information electronically. I also liked that I didn't have to wait so long in the waiting room. My appointment was at 2:10 p.m. and I was seen at 2:16 p.m. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. Although, the doctor seemed so much younger than other doctors that I've seen, she was very knowledgeable, friendly, and seemed to answer all my questions. I felt very comfortable. Thank you all for making me feel so much at ease.

Was seen yesterday (5/2/22) on an emergency basis due to reduced vision in my left eye. Although I was worked in, my experience was not good. The first tech to see me was very rude and impatient. See rushed through my initial exam and really didn't listen to my issue. The Dr's that saw me were very professional, if somewhat impartial to my situation, and didn't seem to have an urgency to my treatment. I have a follow up in 2 weeks, which seems like a long time considering the seriousness of my condition.

Both my parents have had surgery at this establishment and were exceptionally pleased with their results, so it was easy for me to feel confident in choosing Southwest Eye Institute to take over my ophthalmology needs after our ophthalmologist of many decades retired. Dr. Purdy treated me professionally and kindly, and advised my choices for bifocals.

This is our family's new home for our eye needs. The large staff kept things rolling consistently throughout the visit. Most staff members are bilingual to help people needing Spanish instructions. I was seen on time, too! I have my appointment for next year on the books and am happy to continue seeing Dr. Purdy again to keep watch on my diabetes' affect on my eyes.

I drove three hours to get to this place expecting my father to have the consultation and the next day have the cataract surgery as was presented to me over the phone. Unfortunately, they told me after we got there, that he was only scheduled for the consultation and that we would have to come back at the end of the month for the surgery. I explained to Vanessa, that this was not what I had been told.

After speaking to her to no avail, I asked her if I could speak to a supervisor. I called the supervisor and left a message for her to call me. I did not receive a call that day. Sad to say all I got was a I'm sorry. Sorry is not going to cover the two days that I took off of work nor will it cover the gas and time that we spent to get here. These people need to train their staff better.

So my suggestion to anybody making an appointment and expecting to travel several hours to get here, that you get the appointment in writing of what services you will be receiving and when.

My appointment was for my teen son who jokes too much about every situation. The staff was kind and everyone joked around with him, being super patient. He loved the experience there (making sure he let me know as we walked out). As for me, I found the whole process quite quick, from the ease of setting up the appointment, the check-in process and the time being seen. Thank you!

Where do I start?! I took so long to get my vision corrected and that was mainly because I was scared. When I say I was almost blind, it's not an exaggeration because my prescription was so high! These great people were amazing! I usually can't say the whole staff, but in this case I can. They were super sweet and take the time to answer all your questions.

They have you feeling extra comfortable and during the procedure extra calm. Thanks to God for touching the hands of the of the doctor who corrected my vision. Dr. De La Torre I can't thank you enough!

As a potential new patient, I was intent on obtaining an appointment at only a particular location and with a certain physician. Georgina, the lady who took my call, was patient, pleasant, helpful and efficient in guiding me to an appointment that met my needs. She was simply excellent, a great representative for your practice.
