First, this office will have you waiting for your appointment time for at least half an hour past your appointment time, which for someone who had set time aside during working hours, was extremely frustrating and unfair. Second, communication is not their forte. I visited for a sudden issue in my eye, but somehow it was misconstrued as an eye exam, for which I was not due. So, in the exam room, confused as to why I was being given a routine eye exam, the doctor grew extremely frustrated and impatient with me because I was unable to properly complete the exam.

When testing my vision with glasses on, my mask persistently fogged my glasses, so I slightly pulled down the mask which led the doctor to dramatically throw himself back in to the wall berating me to put my mask back on. At the end, they tried to charge me for an exam for which I was not due when I had made an appointment for a completely different issue. Overall, awful experience with this office. Never returning.

Dr. Silodor has always been very competent. I have never had a problem with him. The only problem I ever had was with the optician side of the business. He insisted that there wasn't a problem with the prescription sunglasses I got from them. He sent it back reluctantly and the maker replaced the lens.

I don't understand what the problem is with people. Never had a bad experience with any of the doctors. My daughters have been coming here for years. Nothing but good experiences. They just took me in quickly for an eye issue that suddenly appeared and I personally wasn't a patient. I would recommend them to everyone. Dr. Silodor (hope I spelled it right) was excellent and explained everything that was going on and put me at ease.

I will NEVER GO BACK TO THIS OFFICE. they have you waiting FOREVER! My husband wanted to try an eye doctor and get an eye exam after not having one in such a long time. He walked out and never got the exam. He even states he will never go back. I continued to go because I was in desperate need of my contact lenses and they ordered a 6 month supply without even asking me.

I usually get a year. I have VSP and still had to pay. Which I never did in all my life! Donna was so rude and said "Well, there's nothing we can do about it now". Find another eye doctor.

I usually visit with Dr. Silodor who I find to be very professional and pleasant. Yesterday I was given an appointment with Dr. Gollance. He was rude and condescending and I relayed my disappointment to Donna, the Contact Lense tech (who is very nice). I see by these reviews on Google that I am not alone in my distaste. I am saddened that Dr. Silodor's name and reputation is associated to this place and tied to Dr. Gollance because Dr. Silodor is an excellent Optician.

I have yet to decide if I will return to the Eye Institute, but clearly, the Eye Institute's slogan we don't treat eyes, we treat people' does NOT apply to Dr. Gollance.

I have been a patient of Dr Mishler for more than 15 years. I have never been unhappy with the quality of care, which is, after all, why we visit medical professionals. I can't recall a single medical office that I have attended where there aren't complaints about office staff. Dealing day in and day out with patients, insurance companies, etc., is a job I would not wish on anyone. Bottom line: if you need competent eye care, this is a place to get it. If you need your hand held, perhaps you should look elsewhere.

I never write reviews but I felt the need to warn others here. Doctor Silador is quite possibly the coldest and most pretentious doctor I have ever dealt with. He did not help me with my issue and did not even attempt to put me at ease. On top of everything, I overheard how he speaks to his geriatric patients and I was appalled. He has zero patience and is extremely rude. I don't understand how this man ever managed to become a doctor with his complete lack of personal skills. I HIGHLY recommend never going here.

My husband and I have been a patients at the Eye Institute for more than 20 years. We've been seen by Dr. Mishler and Dr. Golance and have had excellent care. Two weeks ago, my husband felt something in his eye; eye drops did absolutely nothing. When he began having pain, I called the office and spoke to Debbie. I didn't think we would be able to see a doctor and would have to go to the ER at Chilton. Debbie through some miracle - said come now - and we did. Dr. Mishler saw my husband - he did have a scratch on his cornea; he was given antibiotic drops in his eye and a patch to wear overnight.

His instructions were if it wasn't completely better in the am - to come immediately back to the office. It was completely better in the am! We were so very grateful to Debbie for getting us in quickly and to Dr. Mishler for taking excellent care of my husband's problem. It could have been bad, but these caring people saved the day for us. Thank you all very, very much.

I had an 8:00 am appointment and got into an exam room in about 10 minutes. The tech that did the initial eye exam was great. The doctor did the fine tuning of the refraction for the prescription and dilated my eyes for the second part of the exam. I was then sent to the eye glass showroom to get my prescription, something new now that the doctors own the sales dept also.

Full dilation should take 20 minutes, I looked at glasses to kill time, very expensive in my opinion (very helpful staff). After about 30 minutes I was brought back for a scan, the tech attempted to find an open exam room but, all were full. So, I sat in the hall and waited and waited while the doctor proceeded to walk around and talk about planes, printers and CEU's.

I made it into a room and waited some more, when he finally came in I explained to him that this was ridiculous (I had been there for 2 hours at this point) he tried to blame his staff, which was nonsense. I told him I watched him standing around chatting it up and my time was valuable too. Exam was finally complete in 2 hours and 35 minutes, way to long for me! The search is on for a new eye doctor.

I have been a patient of Dr Silador's for the last 10 years. I have never had an issue until now. Recently had an eye check up done for some issues I've been having. In the past my insurance has covered the entire bill. This time there was a $55 difference that I owed. Within the week after my appointment I was notified that I owe them 55 additional dollars.

I explained to the lady on the phone that my insurance usually in the past has paid the entire bill. She said well it didn't this time and you owe us $55. I checked with my Insurance and I did infact owe the doctor $55. With in the week they placed me into collection. I paid the doctor his $55 and yet I am still getting collection notices. Office staff I spoke with on this issue were very nasty.

I understand you have to get paid but as everyone knows insurance companies constantly make mistakes with billing. Their answer is to put you in collection ASAP. Will not be returning to this office.

We moved here a few years ago. My daughters and I all wear contacts or glasses. First it was a hurdle to actually have someone in the office to answer the phones (they are usually closed). There's a woman at the front desk that obviously hates her job/people and is extremely rude. Perhaps someone should educate her on patient privacy laws and manors.

The female dr we saw was not anything to rave about either. We will never go back there. Even though it's so close by, I'd rather drive out of my way than go there.

I am a prior patient and have new insurance. I called to see if I can make an appointment, the person in the other was asking what my insurance was and told her it was Magna Care but I wasn't sure which specific plan it was. I said I can stop by after work with the card and also make an appointment to which she responded that was fine. When I got there both women behind the desk didn't even want to acknowledge I was there.

She said just sign in and I have a seat. I explained why I was there and she just looked at me, "so you don't have an appointment? " No, wanted to give my new insurance card, confirm my benefits and schedule an appointment; to which the other women said "it's your job to know if we take that insurance not ours". We have enough to do". I have never had such horrible customer service. I will never go back and I truly hope the office manager sees all this bad experiences.

Didn't even get past making an appointment! The receptionist on the phone was incredibly rude just because she was having trouble understanding what I was saying. I told her the name of my insurance company and she snottily said I don't know what that is. I repeated it and spelled it out and she continued in that same tone to say she didn't know what that was.

I told her it was the name of a health provider. She says she has been in the industry 17 years and has never heard of that. Premera Blue Cross one of the biggest companies out there. She didn't know the name started with Premera. Could have just been like "oh blue cross blue shield okay" and moved on but she wanted to have an attitude about it. Needless to say I told her I wouldn't need to be making an appointment there anymore.

Went here for years and always saw the wonderful Dr. Gollance Sr. Sadly, he passed away. Had my 1st appt w/Dr. Mishler recently and it was for an issue w/one eye. Rude, superior, and zero "bedside" manner. Monosyllabic and not at all helpful. Curt, one word answers whereas Dr. Gollance Sr. would've cared and taken the time to explain a scary situation. Ask for Dr. Gollance Jr. He's not his dad but he's nicer than Mishler.
