Go anywhere but here! The rudest customer service I have encountered. I've gone for several years, and if the employees aren't arguing with each other, they are hateful to the customers. Just read another review and they did the same thing to me. My prescription for contacts was typed incorrectly and they blamed the contact company, and also "had no record of my purchase".Really? Because I still have the receipt with the wrong info!

We were in last week and we had a problem with one of the associates not understanding what my husband was trying to tell him. Alyssa did an outstanding job And making things all better. She reassured my husband that everything was gonna be OK and she would handle it and she did. Great job Alyssa and I'm definitely a lifetime member of a boutique

First experience at this location but I have been going to the eye boutique in crystal lake for almost 3 years. This location was no disappointment as well. I love this brand of eye doctors. I had doctor Charles who for an 8am appointment made it wonderful as I was still super tired lol! He was super kind and listened to my concerns and took the time to explain my problem to me in terms I could understand.

The staff was kind and let me browse by myself (how I usually like to look for glasses and had asked not to be helped during my selection) and was eager to help me once I made my selection. I have been to many other eye doctors prior (vision works, LensCrafters, etc.) and always dreading going. They didn't care to listen to me and I always felt like I couldn't voice my concerns. All in all I'm so blessed to have found this awesome doctor and would recommend to anyone!

Since my first pair of glasses I've always gone to Eye Boutique in Schaumburg. My last pair of glasses I paid over $600 less than a year ago. I have NEVER broken or abusive a pair. I'm a disabled senior and just can afford not to take care of my things, this clearly was a defective frame. I brought them back to the store and was told nothing they can do, offered 20% off. After all the years coming here I thought they could at least offered at their cost. Great way to treat a long time customer! Eye Boutique shame on you

Very Disappointed! Took my 90 yr old mom there.picked out her new glasses and was told they would be ready in 2 weeks. Today is 3 weeks. Now I'm told another 2 weeks because lens are on back order.

I've been coming here for a couple of years and have always had a great experience. The staff and the doctor are amazing! Even though I moved about 30 so mins away and have another eye boutique by me, I still choose to drive to this one instead because I think they do such a great job!

This place is horrible and the company is general. Most eye doctors will advise you that your insurance will not cover under your insurance for 1 year. I purchase contact lenses due since I worked in a nursing and exposed to covid-19 in April 2020. I went in for an eye exam and to purchase more contacts in Jan 2021. When I made the appointment they never mention to wait until April 2021 to purchase my contact lenses since I will not be covered under my insurance.

Now they are charging me. Along with that I was the phone with my insurance and another representative told me and my insurance that the person running the auth forgot to scan the benefits form. They are unable to waive the bill mailed to me even though this is something that the company could of avoided for their customers. They sure were fast to make me purchase the contact lenses without trying to help out a customer.

Please read this review before you pick this place/company. Even the corporate person was unhelpful when explained the situation she just told me I would still have to pay the bill. Unbelievable. Never going back to this place!

Terrible customer service. Told me to look at the sign when we first walked in but I couldn't see it bc I needed glasses so that's why I was there in the first place. Also didn't help us with anything and didn't welcome us! There was no one in the store anyway so I don't know why they couldn't have at least helped us out.

I was a customer for over 25 years, but the service has gone down severely the past few years. Not only does the upfront staff come off cold and unfriendly, but my last experience put the cherry on top and I will not be back. I am 38 weeks pregnant, and discovered my prescription has expired for new contacts. According to Edith on the phone, their next appt is not for another 2 weeks, after my due date.

When I asked if I could get a sample pair to hold me over until my appt due to my situation, I was told to "just wear my glasses." When I told her that wasn't possible, she rudely replied "well. that's what people do when they don't have contacts." Only after I asked for her to leave a message for the manager or Dr did she offer any other type of solution.

After leaving a message, Edith called back and said I was denied a sample pair by the dr and would need to wait until I could physically come in. I'm not asking for Oxycodones here people, just a pair of contacts after being a customer for YEARS! That being said, I made an appt at Lens Crafters which could see me next day and were MUCH nicer to me on the phone. My family and I will NEVER be back at Eye Boutique.

The best service! Very nice and polite after we had a bad experience at the last store we went to! Found the glasses I wanted but preferred a different color. They called a different location and are bringing them over today!

This optical has a good selection of frames and the prices are reasonable. What gives them a bad review is their customer service. I had called them to make sure they were accepting walk ins during the pandemic. The person on the phone told me they were and I informed her that I would be there in 15 minutes. When I arrived, the doors were locked and someone walked over to tell me they would only take me if I had an appointment.

I left and schedule the appointment over the phone for a different day. The day of the appointment, things went well. They told me they would call me once the glasses were ready for pick up, no more than 2 weeks. I called after 2 weeks since I had not heard anything. They said they were still waiting for the glasses to arrive. Four days after that the glasses arrived, no explanation for the delay was given.

When I went to pick them up, I attempted to try them on to make sure they fit correctly and no adjustments were needed. The lady very abruptly said that I needed to leave the premises and try them on while standing on the sidewalk! There is absolutely nothing that would motivate me to ever return to work. Their customer service is one of the worst I have seen at any place.

Very rude staff and told me I was using my contacts incorrectly even though I have been wearing them for YEARS and the lady told me I must be wearing multiple contacts a day. Going somewhere else with much sweeter staff.

Had the most wonderful experience today. Dr. Paul is SOOOOO wonderful with kids! My daughter laughed a lot. He was our second opinion doc and I wish we had gone to him first because our daughter needed glasses months ago but the doctor we went to did not find her to have eye problems even though she couldn't see without squinting. So grateful for Dr. Paul and his team for making the appointment and getting glasses FUN! Highly recommend them.

Dr. Sesso is 5 Star! Unfortunately the rest of the office staff are zero! Having gone to this location for the last 15 years I have moved on to another office that actually booked an appointment when I called. Dr. sesso needs to get out because the lazy staff there is tarnishing his reputation

This place has really friendly staff and I had a really good experience with Dan. I had an appointment at 10:00am and they still took me in to help my needs without rush. From the sales staff to the doctor everything was great and informative. I was coming in for an eye exam for prescription and the doctor told me that my prescription was still valid and suggested me to save $50 and apply them to glasses I liked!

They called the old eye doctor and got the prescription for not only my glasses but contacts as well. All in less than 15 minutes which was what it took me to pick out my glasses. Dan (sales) was really descriptive and showed me the differences in the types of upgrades I could do if I wanted too. Dan keep doing what you doing! I would recommend this Eye Boutique to my friends and family!

Dr. Sesso is quite the nicest optometrist I've had the chance to have. My family and I'm really happy I continue to have the opportunity to see him! Very honest and not looking to just get your money at all! I would say not all the staff is very welcoming but I'm really glad Alyssa and Samantha were so helpful! I got to checkout with Samantha and she was so open, fun and conversational! So happy I have this little gem to go to! Highly recommend!

I decided to check this place out because my regular eye doctor didn't have any frames that I liked. I ended up buying $400 designer frames. They came in really fast. BUT the reason they came so fast was because they used the tester frames off the shelf that were pretty banged up. They have gold metal sides so the obvious wear and tear of however many people trying them on was apparent.

There were scratches in the metal sides of the frame and when I'm paying $400 for glasses, they better be brand new with no scratches! On top of it the lens looked like coke bottle glasses for some reason and I have a VERY low prescription. It hasn't changed in the last 5 years and I have never had this experience. The thick plastic lens stuck out of the frames and was poking out more on one side than the other.

When I originally picked them up, I looked for the tester frame to compare the frames I received to the ones I tried on because they didn't have that coke bottle, old lady look that I received. They were no longer on the shelf. When I asked the if they no longer carried the frame because I didn't see them on the shelf, she told me that someone came in the day after me and bought the tester off the shelf. Peculiar huh?

I asked why anyone would do that. She said maybe they wanted them in a hurry. Really? Because mine came in less than a week. What are the odds that someone would ask to buy the exact frames I bought only days later and insist on taking the tester frames? I ended up requesting a new frame and different lens. I just picked them up now a month later and while the lens are better (I had to pay extra for them), the frames still have visible scratches and if they're brand new there should be NONE.

There was also some grime on the plastic pieces and the sides felt a bit looser than they should. I didn't see the testers replaced on the shelf either. I'll never return because this place is dishonest and a rip off. With all of these online retailers offering the same, no wait - better quality, at half the cost and faster delivery, you would think they would welcome my easy business, adhere to better quality standards and be honest.

I stopped in here today to schedule appointment and had the displeasure of dealing with Edith. I remember why I stopped coming to this place three years ago was the fact that you as a customer are considered a distraction to them and what they do. The moment I walked in the door she showed nothing but distain for me and my presence in their shop. Every question I ask about contacts or monovision she answered with a short and condescending response.

I work in the customer service field and if this is the way that they are treating the customers over and over I don't know how they stay in business. There are other choices out there in life people do not have to put up with this I again will take my business else where.

Dr. Paul had been my optometrist for several years. He simply explains everything and provides such a thorough exam. I am amazed at level of detail that I never had at other offices. Love seeing his growing wall covered with children's drawings. His staff are personable, friendly and so efficient.

I have been a patient of "Dr. Paul" for many years now. I feel welcomed from the minute I walk in and the comfort of knowing I get to see Dr. Bastermajian EVERY time I come in. He has up to date technology so I know I am getting the best care for my eyes and that's important to me since I have had horrible vision since I was a child. I recently brought my kids there for their first "real" eye exam, and he was GREAT with them. They especially liked the surprise gift at the end. Definitely, would recommend for all ages.
