Because a child's vision develops within the first few years of life, it is very important to diagnose and treat amblyopia as early as possible.

I hope Larry has found a better way to process his insurance information. Horrible Optical department. Could not see out of glasses when I picked them up. Took them over 2 months to get.

Since Covid I decided to try a new eye Dr. closer to my home instead of going downtown. This clinic is a 'preferred' clinic from my provider, so I expected a great experience. I made an appointment at their Stinson office and initially I thought it was going to be a pleasant experience. When I was first called back for the eye exam, there was no direction on what they were doing or what drops they were putting in my eyes.

I was not told that they would be dilating my eyes, otherwise I would have brought my glasses and not worn my contacts. Their contacts person was out, so I had to come back a week or so later to have an exam for contacts. At that appointment it felt like once my time was up they just gave up and went with the prescription that they had at that moment, even though I said I still couldn't see clearly.

When I finally got my trial contacts after calling for two weeks, it was the wrong prescription by a whole 1.00! After finally getting the prescription figured out, I put in a contacts order on Feb 2nd. March 2nd I called to see where my contacts were since it had been a month and they said they put the order in on Feb 16, so they waited two weeks to put in the order!

Here we are March 11th and I'm still waiting for my contacts and they charged my HSA over a month ago. I would highly recommend finding a different eye clinic and I will be going back downtown to my old clinic from now on.

My review is from a different perspective, I am a healthcare professional and have had to have contact with their staff on many occasions. Their demeanor on the phone and professionalism in some of the worst I have experienced. You can tell from how they speak to you that they are annoyed to ask them to do a simple task. Multiple times I have heard who I would be speaking to 'sigh' very apparently and scoff when I ask them for help with something.

I am always immediately transferred to leave a message even after telling them that I had already left a message and hadn't had a response to my voicemail from a week prior. I have gotten put on hold for awhile and the person who finally picked up the phone asked "So what do you need?" when answering the phone. I just dread having to have any contact with their clinic.

I am not able to speak to the doctors care, but if this is how staff treats medical professionals calling, I can't imagine that the receptionist or technician's patient care is respectful or professional. I can say for certain that it would be against my better judgement to refer a patient to that kind of care. I have written a letter to their clinic board as well, making them aware of the extent of their employees unprofessionalism and inappropriate interactions with medical professionals that call.

I chose Eye Care Associates because they're part of the VSP network and this location is convenient for me. I really don't like to leave negative reviews, but I didn't have a great experience here. The front desk staff was friendly enough but I had concerns with the optometrist. While it's possible he cleaned the equipment before I went into the office, it's best practice to do that in front of the patient, particularly given the pandemic. Then, he gave me a VERY incorrect prescription for my glasses. I was lucky enough to get re-checked - and get a new, correct prescription - from another local Twin Cities shop. Look elsewhere for your eye care.

Rude welcoming, I still Payed in full Cash over 300$, Just for a 2 minute Check up basically and Ended Up Getting billed again with "Last Call" letters to pay something I had already paid, .Never again! I do not recommend at all personally.

I saw Dr. Goyal for a PRK procedure. He seems quite competent and trustworthy, but the communication from his staff was poor. Two examples - I asked and was told I would not need a driver the day of the procedure (no one volunteered this information) - this was incorrect, and I had to scramble to get a ride minutes before my procedure. I was not told about a required follow up appointment required four days after the procedure until the operation was completed, which conflicted with a planned vacation, so I am left wearing a protective, uncomfortable contact twice as long as is needed.

I almost never leave reviews, but this was among the most frustrating medical appointments I've had in my life. The poor communication and coordination among the staff left me wishing I had gone elsewhere for PRK.

I underwent PRK with Dr. Goyal. The wait time was never a big issue with me, sometimes I would wait for 15 minutes before seeing Dr. Goyal. I had gotten a PRK consultation at another clinic that specialized in only doing cataract surgeries and laser eye surgeries. That clinic took measurements, said they looked good, and then asked when I'd like to schedule.

It felt too fast, like they were cranking out procedures. I just wanted to know what the best option was for my eye health and Dr. Goyal took the time to explain everything to me. I got to see my measurements and Dr. Goyal went over them with me and explained why he thought I was a good candidate. The wait times can be long, but the insight I was given was that they see all types of eye patients.

That can mean telling someone they have cancer in their eye. So if the wait time is long, it's because each patient is getting full attention. The procedure went great, my vision is awesome. I felt much better seeing someone who was experienced in all aspects of the eye, not just laser surgeries.

Dr. Templeman is a great doc. He takes his time with me to see things in detail and he is clearly does a great job. However, some of his staff are super rude and lack professionalism. The guy who was covering for contact order was just ridiculously lazy to the point where it was so hard for him to get up from his seat and grab a piece of paper to show me a color chart. I am done with this clinic, but would be great if management implements some sort of rule to improve professionalism.

I have been coming here for maybe 20 years. That's how good it is to me. I know the appointments go slow but that would not deter me from going elsewhere.

I went to this clinic more than 10 times for an eye issue I had. Unfortunately this was my first experience with the US healthcare system and I didn't know any better than to realize Dr. David warshawsky was, from the start, cold and distant and didn't even look me in the eye when he shook my hand. Each of our visits lasted, tops, 10 minutes where he refilled my prescription (which was over $100 each time) and barely answered my questions.

When I finally switched optometrists because my eye issue was never resolved, my new doctor wondered why I wasn't prescribed the generic version of my drugs (priced at $6). Mainly my review is because I felt I got ripped off, taken advantage of and treated like a second class citizen.

Wait and wait and wait some more. You should take a half day vacation from work if you going to see these guys. These people are in no hurry to service anybody! I was in their offices for two hours and saw the doctor for 10 minutes. The doc was ok (not great) but its the waiting that will kill you. I'll never go near that place again. AVOID

I have been at patient here for something over 15 years. It is a bustling eye clinic that is staffed with excellent, very experienced professional staff. It is true that there is commonly is some waiting involved in seeing the optometrist and then the ophthalmologist, but part of that is timing for the drops to take effect, and overall it is rarely an unusual amount of time for a doctor's office.

Their examinations are very thorough. The Optician located off the lobby is very good and prices are very reasonable measured against the "while you wait" mall operators. I've recommended it to my friends.

I have been a patient of Dr Goyal's for several years. He is an outstanding physician and surgeon. I talked to 2 staff members today about an emergency appointment I had with the on call physician on June 16th which resulted in emergency laser surgery on June 17th. They were both extremely rude and clearly wanted to get off the phone quickly. I have paid this clinic for two cornea transplant's and I expect courtesy and excellent customer service when I have a serious concern.

They both, for lack of a better term "blew me off". Dr Goyal's assistant would not even take a message and speak to him for me. I am eager to speak to him myself at my upcoming appointment.

Please take care of yourself and do not go to this clinic. I was made to come back twice over two months without ever being connected to the surgical care I needed. My condition became worse and I needed to seek care at another clinic. I was seeking care for a condition that can leave scars on the outer eyelid if not taken care of promptly. The doctor recommended a low-dose antibiotic for me but then told me "she didn't feel comfortable prescribing it" even after I had received approval from my primary care doctor about it. This messaging left me feeling confused about how to proceed with care. I had a bewildering experience here

Appointment with Dr. Goyal and his technician was great. Quick insurance update upon check in and within 10 minutes I was in the check up chair. The technician was great. She explained the various tests and eye pressure implications. Then on to Dr Goyal who did an efficient review of my tearing issue and gave me my new prescription. Love how comfortable they made me feel.

I waited over 30 minutes for my actual appointment time, and I'm currently waiting to get in to see the actual doctor. The tech who helped me out, Shelia, was incredibly kind and helpful and brought in another specialist who was the same. While they have been helpful, the time inefficiency is incredibly frustrating, I've been here 2 hours and am still not done. Very disappointing, since the folks themselves are kind and helpful.

Dr. Marian Rubenfeld is the best. She is kind, considerate, and funny! She is one of the few people in our son's life who understands his condition and is empathetic to it. We are blessed to have found her.

Appointment was arranged fine, nurse/doctor were on time. No problem there, but the nurse was incredibly unprofessional and even made a joke about how I should wear construction glasses (since I rely largely on the vision of one of my eyes). How is that joke worthy? Weirdest nurse/patient experience ever. Dr. Goyal seemed very knowledgeable but definitely lacking a soft touch as he was poking and prodding my eyes.

His information was very valuable so I don't doubt he is an excellent doctor, but the visit overall felt pretty abrasive with little care towards me as a patient. I've been dreading going back, so though convenient, will probably find another option.

The thing I love most about this clinic is that they're primarily concerned about the health of your eyes. Selling you lenses and frames isn't a high priority, like so many places. The location can't be beat! And, staff and clients come from a wide variety of cultures, so it's very accessible. The only thing preventing five stars is what everyone else complains about: the wait times are ridiculously long, and the administrative staff don't inspire confidence. But the doctors and technicians are great!

They had me come in 15 minutes early for paper work. I could have came in 45 minutes later for paperwork! No one even told me the doctor was running behind on appointments. I waited for an hour before I was called for a technician. Then put into another waiting room before seeing the doctor. Love being treated like a product on an assembly line! Outrageous!

Would not recommend. 1. Prices are outrageous 2. I saw an actual doctor for only 5 minutes, the rest of the appt was done by a tech 3. I reserved an hour for my checkup however my appt ran 2 hours which is because they ship you around to different techs and you don't see one person consistently. Reiterating I saw an actual doctor for 5 mins. 4.

I wasn't allowed to talk to the actual contact lens fitter 5. When I called back to talk to the contact lens fitter about the samples she gave me, the admin said I wasn't allowed to do so. Terrible!

What a terrible mistake to go here. I just got back from my appointment and waited for over an hour to get in to see the doctor for a potential scratched cornea (which he said it wasn't). The final straw was that when I got back to my desk afterward, I used the eye drops that they gave me and then realized they expired a year ago. I tried calling the clinic to let them know so no one else puts these burning drops in their eyes but I was hung up on 3 TIMES. What a joke.

Our entire family loves Eye Care Associates in the Minneapolis Medical Arts building. We have been very happy with the dozen pairs of glasses/contacts we have purchased. The eye glasses department is the absolute best-- Anthony rocks! I have a very high prescription, and have been wearing glasses for 50 years. Anthony is the most experienced optician that I have ever met, and he expertly selects and fits the appropriate eye wear for the most challenging prescriptions.

I have been seen by dr Sher for twenty five years and have gotten excellent care. If I have had to be seen by another Dr I have also gotten excellent care. The optical department is super service orientated. Not only are they very helpful fitting glasses but also continuing to adjust them should they need it. I don't understand a low Yelp score?

It is a busy office and mistakes could happen but I have always found the front staff, doctors assistants, doctors and the optical dept have always been outstanding. I would definitely recommend eye care associates highly.

I recently had an issue where I had to be seen for an eye problem ASAP. Eye Care Associates fit me in the same day and were very nice about it. I have never had to wait more than 15 minutes even when they were nice enough to fit me in.

Just had the worst experience trying to make an appointment at Eye Care Associates, Minneapolis. Very unfriendly, unprofessional, and rude. Total waste of time. Would not recommend this place. Did not even make an appointment. After the operator put me on hold, I was forwarded to other operators twice by accident. Seems like they mix up people talking to an operator and waiting for an operator.

While talking to the 3rd operator, the phone was disconnected. The 4th operator was so slow & confusing + blamed me for not explaining everything at once (how could I when she is too slow?). She put me on hold and without telling me, she forwarded me to a doctor. Thought that was an operator again and started explaining the situation. "Do you want me to help you or not?" said the doctor. When I told her that I need to see her asap because of my recent injury, she(Rubenfeld) cheerfully said, "my schedule is full until July."

The appointment was fine and the doctor was ok, although it was a 45 minute wait. The person at the front desk who answers the phones/schedules appointments was extremely rude and unprofessional with me. Not sure if she was just having a bad day or treats everyone like that. Remember the Soup Nazi? Because I don't want to have to deal with her, I switched to another (less convenient) clinic with equally great doctors and a nicer staff.
