This is the last insurance company that i would ever choose to have it seems like they will do anything that they can to not pay a claim my wife and i have both been denied coverage in the past two years and now i need surgery on shoulder that now has been denied. i pay extra for insurance because i'm a smoker and now they say because i smoke they won't cover the surgery they will make me endure the pain for a few more months after i quit smoking. i feel that paying extra because i smoke and not being covered is fraudulent and im being discriminated against i hope some greedy layers get after them

Brandon, my customer service representative on 5/25/2022 at 5:00 p.m., provided the best customer service I've ever had from any company. Brandon explained and named the two different networks associated with my old BCN policy and new upgraded BCN policy so clearly and consiely. He clearly and precisely taught me how find a doctor based upon my specific networkt using the BCBSM.com website. Brandon also clearly explained my benefit coverage for my upcoming procedures. I wish all reps at all companies were as great as Brandon.

If I could give zero stars I would. Someone at BCN has deleted my account. I am now getting bills from past Well care visits and my pharmacy says my BCN card is inactive. I have contacted my employer and they state that I am enrolled. I have been paying my monthly amount due. I cannot get BCN to do anything. They keep referring me back to my employer and will not investigate. Such a poor company.

Signed up during open enrollment in December. Finally visited my PCP on 03/28 and found out they do not accept my insurance. They did not change what they accept at all recently. I was mislead when I signed up in December. When I spoke to BCN, the blame was put on the third rep that I worked with.

They came up with another reason to deny surgeries. Smokers beware! I was denied rotator cuff surgery because I smoke nicotine. I have to be nicotine free for 30 days. If I were having back surgery it would be 3 months. They also stated I do not have a rotator cuff tear at all! MRI that took 3 years and 2 rounds of physical therapy, that they made me do and paid for mind you, to obtain said MRI that clearly states otherwise. So I have to appeal now!

I absolutely love this company! Anytime I have an issue, they are more then happy to help me and have actually called my dr office directly to straighten out bills! Today they offered to call the durable medical supply house since I was having trouble getting through to them. They go the extra mile for their customers!

I've been trying to resolve a billing issue with BCN since December. I've called in several times, with wait times totaling over 5 hours across 5 or 6 calls. I'm disputing billings for a period where I was not actually covered. I've been making my monthly payments since that time but BCN allocated some of those payments toward the "uncovered period".

I just received a notice from my doctor that coverage has been terminated and they cannot process a claim. The process for reconciling this could easily take several additional months at this pace (you can't even talk to the billing department, the service reps put a message in the system, then call you back 3 weeks later when accounting replies to them internally) Now, despite the fact that I'm awaiting their paperwork in the mail to file a "formal grievance" they are apparently cancelling my coverage. I can't imagine a worse customer service experience.

I have tried since December to add to my Medigap policy coverage for dental, vision, hearing. I, over 4 months, been transferred to least 25 people. Not one of them has given me no info on the addition of the supplement. On 3/2/22, I was told everything was set. TODAY I was told it was not available. I'm, as of this I am sub Mitting a grievent. ce. S Wish E luck.tting a grievance

TERRIBLE. This insurance company is the absolute worst to work with. They are worse than express scripts, and if you work in the medical field you know that is saying a lot. they require a global referral for anyone your patients sees and physicians can't give a referral if we don't see the pt for that problem. They don't pay enough for home care to even bother going out to see a patient so my patients suffer.

I have called multiple time and each time I wait 45+ min and no one ever answers the phone. I get it your short staffed, but so is the world. If you can not as an insurance company appropriately, effectively and accurately assist your "customers" you should not be in business and you certainty should not require so much when you don't even answer you phones.
