Would not recommend LASIK at all! Ever since I got lasik, I have not been able to drive at night or go out normally anymore. I have repeatedly gone back to Dr. Feinerman for advise on my worsening starbursts and my night vision which has dramatically gone worse ever since I got this procedure in Sept of 2019. All Dr. Feinerman has done is brush off aside my concerns and he couldn't even explain to me what was wrong with my eyes or why I had side effects. Now, I have to pay for scleral contact lenses which actually cost MORE than my lasik procedure! $3500 a YEAR to be able to regain SOME vision at night! Please do your research before doing Lasik as you only have 1 pair of eyes. Lasik has been my biggest regret in life to date and now I am stuck with the consequences!

Just do it! Now Truly best decision ever. Did I really wake up today with 20/20 vision WITHOUT glasses or contacts? Yes.yes it's true! My prescription was -3.25 in both eyes which means everything a foot or more away was blurry AF. Truly safety issue, no driving and could not read signs or see facial expressions if someone was a few feet away without glasses or contacts.also huge inconvenience and aesthetic issue when you work in front of the camera. Now.
I see 20/20 1-day post-op and I'm told my vision may even improve more! Caroline and all the staff are amazing. I'm sorry I didn't get everyone's name because I would have mentioned each and every one of you! It really makes a difference to have people who are kind and considerate especially with such an important and major (in the sense that it's you EYEs!) surgery.
All of you are very much appreciated for showing up each day and making this life-changing journey as seamless and enjoyable as possible. I had had consultations at other offices and just didn't feel comfortable like I did with Dr. Feinerman and his staff! Highly recommend

I came here to receive my free LASIK consultation, and then LASIK soon after. I'm always very careful about recommending places/services to others, but I would recommend this place to anyone with no hesitation. Facility: The facility is very clean, and I feel reassured that they're taking every precaution to keep things sanitary due to COVID-19. All areas are disinfected after each patient, and all equipment was sanitized by the staff before they used it on me.
They have a nice waiting area where they offer boxed water, and seats are spaced apart as much as possible. Staff: I cannot emphasize this enough, but each and every one of the staff members that I've interacted with so far in my four total visits (consultation, procedure, follow up, emergency follow up) were so friendly and helpful, from the front desk ladies, to the nurses/assistants, to the doctors themselves.
They all addressed any questions or concerns I had (sometimes before I would even think to ask!), and everything was explained thoroughly to me, which I personally really appreciate as a patient. Service: Everything from the eye exams, to the actual LASIK procedure, to the follow ups after, were great! I especially appreciated that all medications used during/after the procedure were explained to me, particularly the eyedrops used for after care.
Instead of just being told to use these random eyedrops, they explained exactly what each one was for and why I needed to use them. I also felt reassured that I was getting the best care possible that was tailored to my eyes specifically. Dr. Feinerman explained each option to me, which one would work best for my eyes, and used a specific laser that would help with night vision.
The procedure itself was quick and painless. I was very fortunate that my eyesight adjusted to 20/20 vision right after my first post-surgery nap, with no pain, irritation, or discomfort, but please do note that everyone's experience will be different! I had a bit of a scare a few days after my follow up appointment, where the vision in one eye suddenly went blurry at night, and I messaged Dr. Feinerman in a panic.
He told me to come in first thing the next morning and saw me ASAP, which I was extremely thankful for. Both he and Dr. Tran did a thorough checkup on both eyes, and didn't dismiss any fears or questions I had. Turns out my eyeball was just very very dry, and he prescribed me some eyedrops specifically for dry eyes accordingly. My eye has since recovered and I can see with no issues! Price: From my understanding, the price for each patient will be slightly different, depending on which laser is used and the type of vision trouble you have. However, in general, when comparing prices to other facilities I looked into, I'd say this is about mid-point price for LASIK.
It's not the cheapest option I've seen, but it's also not crazy expensive like some other places. Personally, I thought that it was still worth the price I paid because of the amazing staff, and the great care and service I received. I'm ecstatic to finally be free of the burden of contacts and glasses! So grateful to all the staff at Feinerman Vision.

I went to three different lasik consults. Feinerman was the most thorough consultation and best no haggle price! Very clean and homely office- vs a commercial "business center" feel. I know I have an issue with my eye and they were the only office to catch it and requested further examination with a specialist. They were also the only office to question if I was still breastfeeding and wanted to make sure its been a few months since I fed, because that can change my vision. (I just weened my baby).
I scheduled in November, the procedure was quick and painless, but nerve wracking. The smell of laser burning your eye ball is interesting. In hindsight, it was a very cool experience with music, Good Morning played as soon as my procedure was over. I have minor halos and glares at night now. its been 7 weeks. The only issue I had was I had to wait over an hour on the day of op, and I kept getting told 15 min, 15 min, 15 min, 15 min, where I could have made other arrangements for my kids if I had better information. Therefore, husband and I were late to pick up the kids from school and I incurred a late fee. Dr. Feinerman did have a discussion with his staff regarding notifying the patient if they are running that behind on surgeries.

My spidey senses are tingling - after the experience I got 20/20 vision! Dr. Feinerman and his team of optometrist, techs, and front desk staff are the best. When you are craving for optimal healthcare, he and his team are absolutely #winning. I will be referring everyone I know for this excellent lasik experience. Nerves will be there, but they keep you informed at all times, you'll get the best music experience during the actual procedure (Dr. Feinerman will talk with you in the 15 minish time it takes as well), you can call for anything, you'll get followup care so you're not left hanging after the procedure (you'll also get to talk to the doc himself after on the phone followup).
You'll need eye drops and they counsel you multiple times. I met with Dr. Tran, one of the optometrist, who checks thoroughly, techs are pre health and really take care of you, and front desk staff are so friendly and super excited for you and has also gotten lasik so they can also answer questions like makeup wear. Dr. Feinerman did Lasik surgery on my mother and she cannot stop raving about having 20/20 vision! The office staff was very welcoming and the doctor went out of his way to ensure that my mom was doing well after surgery. Highly recommend Feinerman's office for a good experience and professional environment.

I've been wearing glasses and contacts for over 9 years, and I was scared to do the LASIK. After researching on Yelp and online, I found Dr. Feinerman. I chose him because of the good reviews and him helping people see better in Vietnam and Cambodia. He has a steady hand and made me feel comfortable during the procedure. I feel he is a good person with a good heart when I talked to him. Lastly, the price is very affordable compared to other places.

Dr. Feinerman is an amazing doctor. I got my Lasik done a year ago and I was super nervous however, Dr. Feinerman made the experience great. He is really warm and humorous. No pain and the process was quick! Definitely recommend everyone to go there with him. All his staff working there are amazing as well very helpful and knowledgeable. I really can't say how happy and thankful I am with the procedure and to be able to see 20/20!

I am a dentist and strain my eyes for hours on end working with such a small field of vision on a daily basis. I consulted with 2 other ophthalmologists in La Jolla and New Mexico before finding Dr. Feinerman, and I'm so lucky I did. His staff were all friendly and organized. One would think that being from out of state would be challenging to fly in for my fast-track appointments, but his staff made all the arrangements a breeze.
I flew in for the consult and procedure on Friday, and by Monday morning, I was cleared to fly home after my follow-up. The LASIK procedure itself was quick and painless. One could easily assume that he's a perfectionist by the way he works. After the procedure, Dr. Feinerman carved out time in his already busy schedule to personally call and check on me.
I've had two major surgeries in the past six months and not once has a provider ever reach out to me personally. This goes to show how much Dr. Feinerman really cares for his patients. During the post-op appointment, he noticed that my eyes were dry so he proactively placed tear duct plugs to alleviate my discomfort- something he doesn't normally do on the initial follow-up but did so anyway because he knew I was flying out.
This is just another example of how he goes above and beyond with his patient care. Kobe Bryant and a number of other high profile celebrities trusting Dr. Feinerman was definitely encouraging, but I was even more impressed by Dr. Feinerman's altruism through his global humanitarian missions, and as well as, his exceptionally accomplished CV. Dr. Feinerman is an outstanding ophthalmologist and a true master at his craft. I highly recommend him!
